I recommend you check out https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Category:Portal_2_Level_Design for how to make stuff, but make something in the puzzle editor then use this link (http://www.thinkwithportals.com/puzzlemaker/workshop_compatibility.php) to import it to hammer.. Takes so much shorter time, and it is easier. Just if you have a decent computer ;)
The linked portal door explanation is located here (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Linked_portal_door)
Hope oit helps you out.. Btw, English is not my native language either ;)
Good luck further ;)
The arch is in the block creating enu to the right.. the white box should have a drop-down list to select 'arch' from.. ;) Experiment and explore.. It's like playing the trumpet.. You fuck up to a point where you get it and it gets harder, but you learn more after a while.. It requires nothing but practise..
;)
Yes, actually, you can search Hammer valve developer wiki or visit https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Category:Level_Design
This is helpful in order to make a map at all...
Although, if you want it the easy way (still a bit tricky) you can make a map in the puzzle maker, then import it into Hammer, and edit it as you want, with sort of secret passages, or some other custom models and such..
Only your knowledge of Hammer'ing is setting the limits here, lad.
Have done this shit for nearly 5 years, and still I find it a bit difficult, but check out some tuts to get along or else you will give up..
Trust me, I almost did..
I recommend TopHattWaffle Hoogland and 3kliksphilips, when it comes to Portal 2.
Happy Hammering!

Ahh, this is not made in the puzzle maker. Google Hammer World Editor, it's from Portal 2 Authoring Tools, it is located in the Steam>library>tools -section. It's a bit hard to use :D
I made an arch, and connected it with a pre-placed portal window, if that is what you mean?
I think the arch is either 8, 12 or 16 faces...
Aaah, I see. that's good, it's supposed to be challenging.. I play tested the map, so it should be possible to do the entire thing :)
Thanks for feedback.. I know the lights are a bit f*cked up, but it's intended to have it like that. If you struggle with vision, try turn up your computer light or brightness..
The only thing I want to change might be the glass in the beginning..
