Is this playable?
Glory 29 Dec, 2024 @ 8:12pm
@Tora Tomb worlds naturally have less agricultural districts so sounds like everything is working as intended thanks
Tora 2 Nov, 2024 @ 3:42pm
Terraforming this way reduced the amount of agriculture districts on a planet, but the mod still works.
Sunset Sarsaparilla 5 May, 2024 @ 6:07am
I wonder if this still works in 3.11

any idea on how this runs on the current version of the game?
corsairmarks  [author] 13 Dec, 2022 @ 1:59am
All updated for 3.6 "Orion" - only a couple minor tweaks to account for a couple new raditrophic variants.

@SingABrightSong They did add that to the base game - but as ScoSteSal mentioned, it's only available with the Relentless Industrialists civic.
ScoSteSal 30 Nov, 2022 @ 4:08pm
QQ- is this likely to be updated to 3.6 soonish (i.e. before end of year)? I'd like to have this option without using the Relentless Industrialists civic
SingABrightSong 6 Oct, 2022 @ 5:41pm
I have been informed that PDX has added the ability to terraform planets into tomb worlds to the unmodified game. I am uncertain whether to feel flattered or terrified.
corsairmarks  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 8:18pm
@PlotVitalNPC You are right - I've been watching the pre-release vids. However I'm back to working full time, so my mod updates won't happen all in the first week this time.
PlotVitalNPC 17 Sep, 2022 @ 3:24pm
This will probably need updating for compatibility with the tombworld terraforming option accessible to Relentless Industrialists from Toxoids who have their industrialism law set to For Science.
NerdCuddles 30 Jun, 2022 @ 6:10pm
this really should be in the base game
Xilo The Odd 25 Apr, 2022 @ 4:23pm
it might be possible to make this a planetary decision, then the speed of it would be affected by the military strength of the fleet in orbit. because you can concecrate worlds in vanilla on uninhabited worlds to gain unity from having them uninhabited. make it something like weapons testing site decision. it "builds" a habitation amount on the planet for you to bombard, upon successful 100% devastation it turns the world into a tomb world. would add some flavor to making a world tomb worlds if possible.
corsairmarks  [author] 25 Apr, 2022 @ 3:48pm
@xXantrexXx That would be cool, but the game doesn't seem to allow bombardment of uninhabited worlds. If you know differently, that I'd love to chat about how I could implement it for this mod.
xXAntrexXx 25 Apr, 2022 @ 10:41am
Maybe bombardment on uninhabited worlds can make them tomb worlds?
Wilmfe23 2 Apr, 2022 @ 12:02am
Paradox really should do more with this idea. That you can have your planet turned into a tomb world or even have it fracture completely and become a broken world.
Xilo The Odd 1 Apr, 2022 @ 11:51pm
yeah... hopefully at some point this becomes a normal option one can do, Radiotropic is otherwise kinda pointless without the ability to "optimize" worlds for the species. the gains for the extra trait point spent are far less than just getting the phototropic and something else.
corsairmarks  [author] 1 Apr, 2022 @ 8:06pm
If it's not strictly cosmetic, UI, or music - it can't be achievement compatible.
Xilo The Odd 1 Apr, 2022 @ 3:51pm
i'm guessing its not possible to make it so games with this are eligible for achievements... it really should just be an option to make a world in your empire into a tomb world. its not like the cost to reverse it would be cheap. being in vanilla, you'd have to get apocalyptic bombardment to make a tomb world which really limits your empire options. AND to make any starting worlds into tomb worlds in your empire, you have to mess with sectors, vassals, moving your capital, war, killing your own people. complete hassle.
Wilmfe23 28 Feb, 2022 @ 2:17am
I wish they would include this as a punishment for maybe being too agressive in mining and industry or doing something wrong in terraforming.
corsairmarks  [author] 27 Feb, 2022 @ 2:26pm
@arievilo only the owner of a planet can terraform it. Or the star system, for uncolonized planets. The AI can and will change its planets to tomb worlds if they are useful to it.
arieviloj 27 Feb, 2022 @ 8:45am
AI can use this and bomb..ops..terraform my continental planets in t worlds?
corsairmarks  [author] 26 Feb, 2022 @ 11:10pm
@NivMizzet - I've finally uploaded that submod here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2766967251
NivMizzet Firemind 15 Jan, 2022 @ 1:30am
Would really appreciate this!
corsairmarks  [author] 14 Jan, 2022 @ 8:07pm
@NivMizzet Firemind it's something I can look into. I know PD has quite a lot of planet types, so it will take a while for me to sort through them and make sure I'm not accidentally transforming planetary habitats or something. I'll release the end result a a submod.
NivMizzet Firemind 12 Jan, 2022 @ 8:25pm
The description goes as "9 basic habitable pls". Wondering if this can terraform everything that comes with Planetary Piversity by Gatekeeper. Thx 4 the mod anyway.
Twink Ancião 10 Jan, 2022 @ 2:17am
I see, Didn't noticed it cuz i played as pos apoc right out of the gate, Thanks!
corsairmarks  [author] 9 Jan, 2022 @ 8:30pm
@Tarley Durden - it's available gated behind those techs for non-nuked empires. Terrestrial Sculpting (regular terraforming) and Tomb World Adaptation specifically. "Nuked" empires get it for free at game start without the technology requirements (which is actually a bonus tech that unlocks only Tomb World terraforming for those empires).
Twink Ancião 8 Jan, 2022 @ 11:49pm
Is it possible to make this into a specific tech, Like Tomb world adapt>Terraformation>Tomb world terraformation?
corsairmarks  [author] 26 Dec, 2021 @ 7:25pm
@Valdorel I intentionally didn't include the nanite worlds in my initial design. I suppose I could add it. I'll add it to my list for after New Years.
Valdorel 26 Dec, 2021 @ 12:53pm
Doesn't seem to be working with the Nanite Worlds in the L-Cluster.

Have the needed techs, planets have Terraforming Candidate modifier, no option present.
corsairmarks  [author] 12 Dec, 2021 @ 11:52am
Since this issue keeps coming up, I'm going to see if I can resolve the parsing issue and send a pull request to Irony Mod Manager.
Big Sneezy 12 Dec, 2021 @ 11:17am
I understand. Perhaps don't use quotes in the name of the mod? Just a thought for compatibility.
corsairmarks  [author] 12 Dec, 2021 @ 10:25am
@dostillevi This is a bug with Irony. It must be escaped with a backslash to appear correctly on Steam and in the Paradox Launcher.
Big Sneezy 12 Dec, 2021 @ 3:00am
Changing the descriptor from name="\"Terraform\" to Tomb World" to name="Terraform to Tomb World" allows this mod to appear in Irony Mod Manager. The mod does not appear with the current descriptor.
Dusk the Umbreon 29 Oct, 2021 @ 10:45pm
It always bugged me that species that loved tomb worlds couldn't make more without being genocidal...Thanks for making this mod to fix that!
Spaceception 15 Oct, 2021 @ 12:59pm
This is brilliant for people who don't want to live on disgusting 'pristine' planets, I want my drinking water to glow dammit.

Seriously though, I'm really glad this exists for the current version of the game.
corsairmarks  [author] 14 Oct, 2021 @ 6:52am
That's an interesting suggestion. The role-play is a little shakier because Memorialists are supposedly revering the life that was lost in the nuclear devastation (or having died out on relic worlds). They also can't be any of the homicidal civics (i.e. no Armageddon Bombarding yourself tomb worlds).

I'm thinking I'll add it but weight it at 0 for the AI.
Inny 14 Oct, 2021 @ 6:34am
Hi, empires with the Memorialist civic perk could be allowed to do this as well, regardless of their traits.
Argus von Stein 12 Oct, 2021 @ 11:39pm
Now that's a killer with the new plantoid perk.
