"The crossbow and bolts can be purchased from Sorine in Fort Dawnguard"
SADBREED 22 mart. 2017 la 8:34
where can i find them
ghoster 29 ian. 2017 la 11:13
Wasn't the crossbow introduced into the game with the Dawnguard DLC? I don't remember seeing it before. And to Misha Kid: A sniper's weapon usually is very accurate, slow fire, high damage and long range. Fast firing weapons are for the people down on the line. Leave your weapons just the way they are, sgtwinkler. (Perhaps you were a sniper in the military -- as was I).
sgtwinkler  [autor] 17 ian. 2017 la 22:10
Because Dawnguard includes the base skin, mesh, and animation files that crossbows use. So it's easier to do, faster to download, less cluttered to not have repeat files, and primarily - less illegal.
Rex_Lestra 12 ian. 2017 la 17:03
Why do all the crossbow mods require Dawnguard?
leviathan 13 dec. 2016 la 14:11
"-==== Weapons ====-

Sniper's Crossbow - Moderately slow rate of fire, high damage

Lightweight Sniper's Crossbow - Lower carry weight, lower damage, fast rate of fire

Devastating Sniper's Crossbow - Higher carry weight, slow fire rate, very high damage"

It's not considered a Sniper Bow or Crossbow if it has a slow fire rate, speed it up.

add a scope and we're in bisness
Bandit Hadron 5 mart. 2016 la 16:00
Thank you, I was looking for a mod that made crossbows like what they should be.

High-powered killing machines, the snipers of the medieval world.
MickyTickyTavy 30 ian. 2016 la 7:10
i coudnt find or buy any of the crossbows and i subscribed to this twice
Armag3dd0n 1 ian. 2016 la 6:24
does that mean u need a mod named DAWNGUARD ort does it mean u need to join the dawnguards?
Master Liu 30 nov. 2015 la 0:21
For you people asking YOU NEED DAWNGUARD:clownfish:
sgtwinkler  [autor] 12 oct. 2015 la 15:50
Sorry, the data for crossbows is in the Dawnguard DLC. Not only would it be difficult to make, but it would be illegal. No can do.
TheMadGunner 12 oct. 2015 la 10:34
Can you make it available for vanilla skyrim?
slatterius 28 iun. 2015 la 16:41
Alright, I'm in the middle of them now. I know that the exlpoding bolts are in steel and so are the enhanced and regular crossbows, so I'll see how it goes.
sgtwinkler  [autor] 28 iun. 2015 la 16:31
I'm not sure, I think you need to do the quests first to unlock the bolts and stuff, and it's probably in Dwarven and Steel like you said.
slatterius 28 iun. 2015 la 15:41
I know I can buy them too, I just would like to know where I can craft the stuff at.
slatterius 28 iun. 2015 la 15:40
I know you've gotten this question a lot but, I'm at the point in the side quests where I've found the explosive bolt plans and I wanted to know in what catergory of smithing (Dwarven, steel etc...) can you craft the crossbows and bolts? Or do I just need to be further into the quests?
Saint Michael the Archangel 6 iun. 2015 la 19:31
is it possible to make a non dawngaurd version. Dawngaurd is like $25.
sgtwinkler  [autor] 6 iun. 2015 la 15:01
-_-
Saint Michael the Archangel 5 iun. 2015 la 16:09
does this mod require dawngaurd

jk
sgtwinkler  [autor] 15 apr. 2015 la 15:30
The "xx" is unique for every computer - that's based on the load order. So if Dragonborn for example is 3rd in your load order, you would use "03" for a Dragonborn item. Thus if this mod is 32nd in your load order, type "32" for "xx" :)
Benroy 14 apr. 2015 la 19:03
I got it. However, how do I spawn those bolts? I don't get the "xx" on description.
sgtwinkler  [autor] 14 apr. 2015 la 18:29
I'm sure you *can* spawn it with the console if you search for the items and use "player.additem x" but there's three other ways to go about it: craft it, buy it from the Dawnguard, or (easiest) get it from the chest behind the Riverwood Trader.
Benroy 14 apr. 2015 la 9:55
Any idea to spawn this instead of going to explore to get it.
sgtwinkler  [autor] 22 mart. 2015 la 10:55
Not sure about that buddy, try unsubscribing and resubscribing, sounds like it never downloaded in the first place.
wildcard 22 mart. 2015 la 10:16
why I dont have this in skyrim? I installed it and nothing is happening. I dont have this in my data files.
sgtwinkler  [autor] 20 mart. 2015 la 9:52
Yep, that's why you can craft them or get them from the chest behind the Riverwood Trader
Sir_Kent 18 mart. 2015 la 23:34
can i get it as a vampire?
sgtwinkler  [autor] 26 ian. 2015 la 13:25
Вы можете обработать их, покупать их у Sorine , или найти их в сундуке за Riverwood Trader.

I love Google Translate :P
alexnek1979 26 ian. 2015 la 12:34
Ребята скажите как его получить или где найти в игре?
sgtwinkler  [autor] 22 dec. 2014 la 13:50
@dmboguski - No it doesn't lag, why?

@Bacon Lizard - Try reading the description, I wrote it for a reason.
Quote:
"The crossbow and bolts can be purchased from Sorine in Fort Dawnguard at reasonable prices, or crafted on your own. The crossbow may be purchased before completion of Sorine's quests for more advanced crossbows if you don't want to do/redo those missions. "
Also:
"In the latest update I added a chest behind the Riverwood Trader with all the crossbows and bolts in it in case you don't have Sorine for some reason or you're a vampire and not exactly on good terms with the Dawnguard."
You're welcome.
JasonWolf 10 aug. 2014 la 21:15
thanks for considering. Its just that by lvl 50 if I sneak that crit with my enhanced xbow will take out anything smaller than a mammoth.
sgtwinkler  [autor] 10 aug. 2014 la 16:41
Perhaps I could, but not by changing the crossbows. For some reason, range is actually an attribute of the arrows/bolts, so I could make a standalone mod for that. Maybe I will ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
JasonWolf 10 aug. 2014 la 10:40
if you could slightly improve the range, Yes crossbows have long range already, but if these are meant to be sniper crossbows and my own already one shots then range should be useful.

sgtwinkler  [autor] 28 iul. 2014 la 9:36
I know right? I'm hoping he was being sarcastic. Then again, I had plenty who said the same thing, dead serious...

THETA 28 iul. 2014 la 5:33
dude really he said it 10 times in the description
◥◤ 19 iul. 2014 la 14:27
Does it require dawnguard?
sgtwinkler  [autor] 4 iul. 2014 la 10:25
Evil DR. Tacos, you're not the first person to suggest that. Or the last one, most likely. But here's the thing. DLC isn't that expensive. If you really like Skyrim it's worth the money. Besides that, you'll be able to get plenty of mods that use the content and add many hours worth of new content to Skyrim.

But that's not even the important part. While the files probably could be extracted from the main data file and republished as a new mod, that's probably illegal. And while I won't sue you, Bethesda might, since it would technically be taking their digital property and pirating it.

I'm not trying to be a killjoy by any means, but this whole trying to get DLC stuff for free is a silly ordeal that many people seem intent on. You can either pay a little money for more content or you can try illegally downloading somewhere where it's not on my head.

Peace out.
Doctor William Von Tacos 3 iul. 2014 la 13:20
Someone make a Crossbow mod so people who dont want Dawnguard can get one! (plz dont ban or sue me for my idea).
sgtwinkler  [autor] 11 iun. 2014 la 18:09
butchyoung - DLC can be bought off Steam, I bought Legendary Edition which came with all them from the start. The search feature would be a good place to start.

Larros the King - if you get one of the archery perks you do get a zoom feature

Calorth - Most likely Dwarven, not 100% sure though, I'll check. You also likely need to have passed a certain point in the Dawnguard side questline.

Vera - Hopefully you are familiar with the console, if not, here's what you type:

player.additem __(itemcode) (quantity)

The first two characters of the code, the "xx", depend on your load order and are different for every person. You can find out what it is for you by looking up the code for one of the crossbows. Hope this helps!
Jack 11 iun. 2014 la 12:09
The codes don't work
Calorth 8 iun. 2014 la 7:24
What perk do I need to craft the bows?
Yamashita 6 iun. 2014 la 20:56
*face palm* im just going to pretend that that did not just happen...can you make a zoom feature on the crossbows
76561198081646434 5 iun. 2014 la 22:19
excuse my ignorance, new to all this, but where do i get these DLC's that i read about?
sgtwinkler  [autor] 5 iun. 2014 la 18:14
@bigfoot922 "dude no affens fix ur grammerz"

There's no virus genius. You can't start it because you don't have Dawnguard. You would know that if you read the painfully obvious clues in the description.
bigfoot922 5 iun. 2014 la 6:33
dude no affens but fix ur god dang mod my it put a viris on my coputer so i cant start my skyrim. ween i delleted it went back to normol so its ur mod

SKbrook#7249 4 iun. 2014 la 17:52
Thanks man I hated playing as a Vamprire because of that.
