This mod was my last resort in case every other option failed, and they all did, thank you so much for this mod and that it still works even till this day, I was feeling hopeless by the end of my mod search and seeing them all fail, then this last one working.

This saved my entire ass, I've been playing as a Neki and only just discovered that I absolutely hate how the max tier ship looks. Now I can keep it smaller and still have all of my crew. Tysm!

My ship is already max vanilla tier. Will my crew capacity still update? I know this is an obstacle in other mods.

it should work with basically anything except FU's BYOS system or other BYOS ship system that overrides the way crew capacity is calculated

maybe make a configurator for the amount of active crew members, I would love to have an army following around where ever I go, I could sure cause some chaos with the NPC mechs mod.

that's because fu byos doesn't use the same things to track this, count this mod as incompatible with byos ships specifically.

i have the FU byos ship and I have the same problem

I increased the cap to 30 but its still not letting me recruit an additional member past 12. I do have FU installed but I am not using BYOS, only the vanilla ship. Would that still cause issues?

@dinhlam710 FU byos uses it's own method to determine crew capacity.

It should. As stated above tho, FU BYOS uses it's own logic and it wasn't part of the scope when i made this mod.

No it dosen't work with Frackin Universe's BYOS ships, still hard capped at 12, i even used 20 bunk beds but to no avail, Sayter must have done something to it... Wait, i still haven't done FU's Caverns mission

Does the mod work with frackin universe? If so, does it require crew beds for BYOS ships to have a crewmember come aboard?

The highest I've tested was about 200 crew-mates. Let's just say the ship wasn't very performance friendly at that point.

But the way this mod is made, it should basically be as high as it can go depending on the datatype set by the game in the engine for that value. Considering they tend to use 32 bit numeric types for most integral values: 2,147,483,647 at max i'd say?

I didn't put a limit on it, but hey if you want to click 2.1 Billion times to figure out, be my guest.
