thanks @w00kie, i have given the owner of that mod permission to use any of the shapes / models form this mod as well :)
w00kie 7 Jun, 2022 @ 12:50pm
@ThePropheticWarrior look up DEP Armor Block Expansion. The Author of that mod made pretty much everything that is here from scratch, after shwoing this mod to him. Plus over 100 other special shapes

Yes, it would be fantastic if someone could take over the dev of this mod!

If I had the money and resources, I would start a Dev team that would concentrate on working on all the dead mods, as well as working with Authors who are still working on theirs!

That is sad to hear. I'm not a modder myself (yet), just a player with a background in QC stuff :steamhappy:. But anyway that is quite humble of you. Would you mind to ask on Keens Discord in #modding-art-sbc instead? That's where most of the veteran cool kid modders hang out :cozycrashfish:

Thanks W00kie, unfortunately i stopped playing SE a while back after a disagreement with the operator of the organisation i was doing most of my work for and haven't looked at it since. if you are able and willing you can make the changes yourself and develop this project in my absence? i can provide you the fines etc.

Hey Idiot :)

I found out that the bug I mentioned comes from a version of SEUT (the SE blender plugin), causing collisions not to update. There is a beta version out that fixes this specifically: https://github.com/enenra/space-engineers-utilities/releases/tag/v1.0.0-beta.2
Idiot  [author] 5 Apr, 2022 @ 12:00pm
in order to allow the armour plates to slide into each other the collision meshes have been reduced in size.

I first thought it's because of a but I learned about a day ago, where you have to force a grid update after placing some mod-blocks so that collision is recalculated. Normaly placing any interactive block on the same grid is enough (control panel, button, h2/o2, refinery, anything that's not just armor). that doesn't work your your blocks though. The collisions are just like the floating block from the missing build states.

2x1 Concave base: https://i.imgur.com/mRWfTTl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vUBLu21.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Uxp8yDH.jpg

3x1 Concave no build states: https://i.imgur.com/eBEEl5E.jpg

and I somehow can't find 1x1 concave.

Don't let this get you down, I'm now nearly sure keen broke something in 1.200.032 regarding this stuff. Are there buildstates and I'm just missing them, or is that something for the future? :p2cube:

@w00kie please define wonky and which blocks?
w00kie 31 Mar, 2022 @ 12:32pm
collisions are all wonky for me with these blocks. Anything I'm doing wrong?
Rubber Sword 11 Dec, 2021 @ 5:44pm
Great blocks for new hull designs. Thank you idiot.
TrueWhiteKnight 23 Nov, 2021 @ 5:02am
will you be adding 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5?
TrueWhiteKnight 23 Nov, 2021 @ 5:02am
This is a game changer to ship construction
Ren 6 Nov, 2021 @ 3:27pm
Oh... yeah duh, you can make a dome if you have a sphere, sorry about that
Idiot  [author] 6 Nov, 2021 @ 3:03pm
Its on the list under:
edges?
&
Spheres?
Ren 6 Nov, 2021 @ 1:35pm
Any chance there will be blocks added to make a dome or something of the like? Sort of like you can do in vanilla with the few curved blocks but I'd like to make an actual dome instead of the vanilla 2x2 "dome". Might be asking for too much, I don't assume any of this is easy
Idiot  [author] 6 Nov, 2021 @ 1:27pm
I fix
Idiot  [author] 6 Nov, 2021 @ 1:20pm
I am a potato
I will fix this
Rabid Puma 6 Nov, 2021 @ 1:18pm
Hey, the new 2x1 block model shows up as a grey block. In their SBC files, they reference Models\ArmourCurve\, but there is no ArmourCurve folder. You'll probably wanna update that :)
Idiot  [author] 3 Nov, 2021 @ 12:30pm
Added 2x1 and 1x1
