It's not the entire Core. Also, it's not the Core verbatim, either; it's Queen's Mansion Basement with the CORE aesthetic applied. What it also is, is the secret area! Jevil's just there for fun. Also because Spamton is strongly implied to dislike Jevil.

No, I've already said multiple times to other people. The arrangement of everything is such a spaghetti code mess that I'd literally die if I tried to add any more to it. And I'm not even sure the internal map budget has room to add an ending anyways.

I could possibly implement the face-turning-red and the smoke, but the part with the head getting bigger would take way too much finagling due to how I handled Spamton's body here, and I can't just change damage values for his attacks on the fly, Source doesn't have precedence for that, so I'd basically have to make an extra variant of each attack pattern.

Anyways, you shouldn't start giving update suggestions for this map, as I'm not going to update it any further unless a critical bug is found. The best chance you'd have at getting new content for this map is if I decided to make a separate variant for Snowgrave. Which is not currently in the plans.

Y'know, it would be cool if when you attacked him, obviously he doesn't die but he becomes "enraged" like what happens if you do the rapid-fire exploit in the actual game. Then he does way more damage. If you did that this map would r3ally> [[BIG SH0T]] !!!!

- yeah i guess source would be a pain in the ass about resized pixel art :/
- i guess the extra collision on the carts would make it easier for people not to fall off??? it's still a bit clunky tho and slightly kills the flow
- i dont blame you for not wanting to work with spaghetti code, i know what its like to deal with it and it's a pain in the ass and ends up with me canning a lot of my projects lmfao

btw if you >>were to<< (not saying you have to or that i expect it) make another deltarune related map, what would you want it to be like/feature?

I don't have the most sophisticated process for upscaling the original sprites to a scale Source is happy with, to explain that bit.

Getting stuck on the minecart edges, kind of a two-edged sword--I did consider making the carts have a flatter collision, but, eh.

And I'm never going to add in a victory scenario, no matter how much people ask; it was hard enough to make this work as-is. There's such a huge tangle of spaghetti code underneath the top layer, despite how simple it may look.

this was pretty fun, kinda reminded me of that old tf2 omega flowey map

+ attacks were pretty accurate and fun
+ i really liked how the boss battle is activated and the general starting area
+ music is still a banger to this day
- some of the pixel textures look kinda grainy compared to other pixel textures, not much of a issue but just a small nitpick
- sometimes got stuck on the edge of the trains while trying to jump across them

would be cool to see this be winnable but presuming that wont happen judging by the fact the map hasn't been updated since nov lmao
