I hate to bother but I could really use a good map like this in SFM. Do you think this one would work if I ported it over? granted I only know how to do that in the most basic way. Maybe I can ask Stefano for help?

You need to click on the piano, on the bookshelf next to the door and on one of the shelves of the big library (right side)
Each button makes a nice sound. You must activate the 3 of them under 30 seconds or something

you don't have it? that was.... not smart. anyway, upgraded or not, I imagine a lot of people, like myself, had a bunch of saves on the old map, ripe for picture taking/film making. besides which, THIS map is an entire Gigabyte. I can't afford to use a whole gigabyte, as I already have brawl installed on here, and brawl hogs a LOT of space.

I used an old version of BSPSource and got this error

I did make everything myself. I don't remember blocking decompilation though, sometimes maps are too dense for the decompiler to work

Was never on the first page? I'm talking about VMF file. And an interesting script that blocks decompilation. Did you make it yourself or did you find it somewhere?

I could not make it any bigger due to fundamental source engine limitations :/
It was already a pain in the ass to compile this map, and that's also why it's only in HDR lighting

I'd love to see it become bigger. More to explore like a water treatment sector or a prison sector. I was actually thinking of making concept art of a Necromorphized Metroid bosses and aliens like Ridley, Nightmare, Kraig, even Chozo Necromorphs.

Haha I don't know, it's an issue with the game AND your PC together (most likely the game tho). The majority of people run this map with no issue

Hope you can find a way to fix it as I don't know myself

had clone troopers from star wars investigate and what they found was the crew turned into nightmarish monsters ( huge dead space and star wars fan so i mixed the two)
