useful!

@PenguBlue Good job! Your new code was exactly what I wanted to do with this mod, but couldn't. I think this mod is now obsolete then.
PenguBlue 28 May, 2023 @ 9:08am
I have updated my Modded Version which now includes base game items (and should for the foreseeable future unless PZ changes how items work). It will now include ALL modded items as well, new old, updated, you name it, it should be supported. Thank you so much Leviathan for letting me make a modded version in the first place! I Hope you don't mind that my version now also supports base game items. If you would like your mod to continue supporting base game items I can create a blacklist in my mod to keep out base game items from my mod.

I genuinely love your mod, thank you for stating where the lua file was, I was able to safely edit what I wanted each bag in the game to have carry weight wise because your mod makes it safe to!
leviathan  [author] 2 May, 2023 @ 3:19am
@Quilava Don't edit the game files, that's why you make a mod. At worst, it will just crush your game, so do test it on new saves first and not your ongoing games. If you read some basic guides online and look how the mods are made, you should learn quickly how to create a basic mod such as this one. I myself didn't do any "coding", I just basically copied and pasted stuff and you just have to literally copy the "modded edition" version and add a few lines.

I suggest using Notepad++ or Visual Studio (useful to open an entire directory at once) to edit the files.
Quilava 1 May, 2023 @ 9:59pm
such shame, im very bad at edit stuff, also scare i may damage something important i dont know, oh well, i will try to find away around anyway, thank for the reply
leviathan  [author] 1 May, 2023 @ 9:01pm
@Quilava I can't really make it because I will never maintain it with all the mods (it's the reason I never created it myself in the first place). If you just want a version for your favourite mod, you should consider making a local mod for yourself. It's really not complicated, because this mod just use Item Tweaker and basically is just a list of items. If you open the only lua file of the mod, you can immediately understand how it works and you just need to add the lines with the items you want to change. So you can just use the "Modded Edition" as a base to create your own mod and add there all the items you want from the mods you use. You just need to know the codename of those items which you can find out by inspecting those mods.
Quilava 1 May, 2023 @ 6:49pm
Pardon me again, i use the modded version in description, but im noticed still many bag dont have infinite carry weigh (only about 1/5 of the container does), the author havent update the mod for sometime now, im already ask for update but no respond for the time

Would you consider make another sub mod for Brita container? I really want to wear other bag and pouch
Boddles 11 Apr, 2023 @ 8:12pm
yeah it was Customizable Containers mod. Even with default bag values on that it still wouldnt work with this. Got rid of that mod and now this is working fine <3
leviathan  [author] 11 Apr, 2023 @ 9:38am
@Boddles Try making a new save with just this mod and Item Tweaker API. If it does work, then it's a mod conflict for sure.
Boddles 10 Apr, 2023 @ 9:32pm
not working for me, even tried making a new save but all bags still have the vanilla capacity, guessing i have another mod conflicting with it if everyone else's is still working
Quilava 20 Mar, 2023 @ 9:37pm
Thank you so much for the info, im completely miss it, now im ready to loot everything lmao
leviathan  [author] 20 Mar, 2023 @ 10:56am
@max I tried looking into modding "furniture containers" but they are coded in a different way and it's more complicated and ultimately I don't know how to do it.

@Quilava yeah, it's probably an overkill, but you might genuinely run out of space if you literally hoard everything you find, furniture included. Hence the overkill. For modded stuff, you should check out the modded version of this mod linked in the description.
Quilava 20 Mar, 2023 @ 10:43am
Lmao, i know this is a cheat mod, but 65000 with organize trait? It kinna overkill too much, maybe cut it down to 1000-5000, im just scare too high carry weigh gonna cause major bug (unless everyone havent had any problem with it then no need to change)

Also i love Brita backpack and pouch, could you consider make another mod for them too?
trisse 20 Mar, 2023 @ 9:04am
can you mack a mod fore normal Containers plis?
Bluewave101 1 Mar, 2023 @ 10:00am
ok,, sorry your time
leviathan  [author] 1 Mar, 2023 @ 6:15am
@WildRide25 There are no settings for this mod.
Bluewave101 1 Mar, 2023 @ 12:15am
How to change settings? ..I can’t find the setting in mod’s settings
leviathan  [author] 19 Jan, 2023 @ 9:03pm
@CrazySouthernPride it doesn't? I'm sorry, I don't know how multiplayer modding works, but since it's a simple mod, I thought that as long it's loaded by the server, it should work. Of course, it shouldn't work just on the client side.
CrazySouthernPride 19 Jan, 2023 @ 4:45pm
would be so awsome if this could be set up to work on multiplayer
leviathan  [author] 12 Jan, 2023 @ 9:56am
@forguinhozinho this mod simply increases the capacity of vanilla portable containers, therefore any vanilla container you will find in the word will basically have infinite carry capacity.
forguinhozinho 12 Jan, 2023 @ 9:45am
how do you use the mod
Shinko 27 Dec, 2022 @ 9:38pm
Thx m8 <3
leviathan  [author] 22 Dec, 2022 @ 2:01am
@Shinko This mod focuses exclusively on vanilla portable containers. Infinite Portable Containers: Modded Edition is a complementary and independent version that will also change containers from popular mods (but still requires this mod for vanilla items). You have to check if that mod is included and if not you can suggest it.
Shinko 21 Dec, 2022 @ 6:52pm
Is this mod compatible with noirs attachment?
leviathan  [author] 21 Oct, 2022 @ 8:14am
@casmonavid yes, if the weight of the dropped container exceed your capacity, you can't pick it up. A workaround is to just equip another container in your hands, then you can pick up the dropped container in the one in your hands and from there simply equip it on your character.

I had added some faqs in the description, but it seems I have overwritten everything when I updated the mod... I have to re-write everything :'(
casmonavid 21 Oct, 2022 @ 7:33am
Somehow can't pick any portable containers that already exceeds its original capacity or wear it if I drop them. I have to remove the items to pick up the portable container and put them all back (Good thing I found a way out of it ahahah).
leviathan  [author] 29 Aug, 2022 @ 3:30am
@RainOfPain125 yes, it was my intention as well, but "furniture" containers have their capacity defined in a more complex way which goes beyond what I'm currently able to mod.
RainOfPain125 28 Aug, 2022 @ 11:42pm
I wish someone would make a mod like this, except give containers infinite capacity. Its so annoying trying to sort stuff even with the container-sort mod, when an existing container fills up completely and theres nothing to do but get another.
⭐[PIXEL]⭐[DOG]⭐ 12 May, 2022 @ 8:55am
Hello again, I wanted to update you with the information so you stay calm and by the way I shed light on this matter:

The mod is having a problem with the noir attachment from what I see. Therefore, I removed it from the server and holy remedy for that problem.

YOUR MOD WORKS AND FOR THOSE WHO READ THIS THIS IF IT WORKS AND WELL.

Only you have to be careful with extra modifications to containers and other things.

Thanks again, a hug and thanks for your work. I LOVE THIS DAMN MOD.
leviathan  [author] 12 May, 2022 @ 8:41am
@[PIXEL]-[DOG] The API is necessary for both this mod and the other "modded edition" to work. This and the "modded edition" are complementary and therefore compatible.

That said, I'm not sure why do you think your issue is cause by this mod. This mod only changes the capacity values of portable container items. It has nothing to do with weapons. Is the weapon or its attachment from another mod? Because that will probably be the cause of your issue then.
⭐[PIXEL]⭐[DOG]⭐ 12 May, 2022 @ 8:32am
Hi how are you my friend ? I have installed this mod, the api and also the modded version but the problem I have is that I use a weapon in an attachment and then when I want to remove it it gives an error, that is, I cannot throw it or move it after attaching it to a space... this will be for the mod?

On the other hand, thanks for answering and would it be a problem to have this mod and the modded version together with the api?

Thanks in advance
leviathan  [author] 12 May, 2022 @ 7:44am
@[PIXEL]-[DOG] I tried and the mod still works. Keep in mind that if you add it to an ongoing game, the containers you already found are likely to retain the old values (because they were "saved" with those). Only freshly spawn containers will probably have the modded values.
⭐[PIXEL]⭐[DOG]⭐ 12 May, 2022 @ 6:32am
I cant use the mod... can you updated because i set in MP and dont take effect in the containers. Please dude i love this mod
Admiral_Daala 6 Apr, 2022 @ 5:38am
Maybe, idk, I was able to fix it after uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, then rebooting the server.
leviathan  [author] 6 Apr, 2022 @ 2:46am
@Admiral_Daala Only fanny packs? If so, maybe do you have another mod that changes fanny packs and therefore overwrite this one?
Admiral_Daala 5 Apr, 2022 @ 4:30pm
For some reason fanny packs arent getting the altered capacity on an MP server that im hosting anymore, even though i have the mod installed and didnt change anything in the backend.
leviathan  [author] 20 Feb, 2022 @ 6:28am
@HiDespondency I don't think so, I personally don't see the point. If you want to tweak the number it's quite easy and you should understand how if you peek in the files. So I'd suggest you to make a copy of the mod as a "local mod" on your pc and tweak the numbers as you like.
HiDespondency 19 Feb, 2022 @ 1:24pm
will there be a ~70% reduction version or something like that?

Like a regular backpack, but with an infinite capacity
PenguBlue 5 Feb, 2022 @ 11:40am
I finally got around to uploading my version. The link to it is here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2744024440
PenguBlue 2 Feb, 2022 @ 12:49pm
I plan to keep adding and updating manually for now. So I'll list it separately for now or until one of us figure out how to automatically add items.

For the past hour I've been trying to see if I could figure out how to automatically add them but the furthest I've gotten is just getting lua to open a file and print off of it's contents which isn't too impressive and might not even be the right way to go lol

And yes, I didn't include any of the vanilla items since your mod does that. Mine is indeed an addon to it. I'll let you know when I have my addon listed and the link to it.
leviathan  [author] 2 Feb, 2022 @ 12:36pm
I was looking for a way to tweak any item with a carry capacity without the need to manually list all of them.

I can incorporate your code in this mod, but I don't think I'll be able to maintain and keep updating the modded items, especially for mods that I'm not using myself. So you can do as you please, if you don't plan to maintain those items, I can incorporate them in the base mod to keep things simple. If you prefer instead keeping them updated, then you can upload them as a separate mod.

If I understand correctly, you didn't include the vanilla items so your mod will be a sort of "addon", so I can also link it here.
PenguBlue 2 Feb, 2022 @ 11:17am
I've made them work with any mod, or at least several mods that I've tried so far (so for now it's somewhat specific and I just planned on adding more depending on what mods I have installed and what people ask for). Basically all I did was copy the basic item tweak/lua code that you had and went into each mod that I have installed to find the module and item names, then put them into the code manually. I'm sure there's probably a way to automate this but I'd have to look into that more. For now though, it seems if you have everything entered manually and you don't have one of the mods installed, you're still able to use it without issues, it'll just skip over the missing items. If you'd like I can send you what I have instead to incorporate into this mod.
leviathan  [author] 2 Feb, 2022 @ 10:39am
@PenguBlue That's fine by me. Are you making a version for specific modded items or have you managed to make a code that would work with any mod? I was looking for a way to convert this mod in a more universally-compatible version, but I'm not familiar with lua.
PenguBlue 2 Feb, 2022 @ 10:23am
@leviathan I managed to get any mod with wearable storage working using what you created and I want know if you'd be alright with me uploading my version to the workshop. It will not have the base game items as this mod already does it and works with this mod, it would simply add the enlarged capacity to modded items. Credit will be given to you and to the respective mod authors that I include in my version.

Thanks in advanced and thank you for the bit of knowledge that helped me figure out how to do this!
o0Zeke0o 1 Feb, 2022 @ 3:07pm
Yeah i heard someome tell that to me too, maybe i'm wrong, english is not my first language so i misunderstood the difference between balance and balanced
leviathan  [author] 1 Feb, 2022 @ 5:38am
@o0Zeke0o I took the meaning of the tag "balance" as that it affects balance , not that it is balanced :D
JusticePancakes 31 Jan, 2022 @ 6:32pm
YES FINALLY A GOOD MOD!!!
o0Zeke0o 29 Jan, 2022 @ 8:58am
It's ironic how it has the "balance" tag and then it says
"Obviously, this is a cheat mod, it's not meant to be balanced."
PenguBlue 27 Jan, 2022 @ 10:27am
Ok cool, I'll see if I can give that a go. Thanks for the help!x
