Is this incompatible with Auto Pause? My councillors somehow never move on, I use the compatches for MGR and do not have any other mods that change council tasks.

This mod definitely still works with version 1.16.*. Thanks for your work @slaneche.
If you're having trouble it's most likely a conflict with another mod.
I had issues with Morvens Mods 1.16 Compatch. If you're using that you have to 1) disable "Pacification Speeds Conversion" and 2) comment out/delete "common/council_tasks/zz_court_chaplin_pacification_speeds_conversion_mod_1_8.txt" from the compatch mod folder (same for "zz_steward_pacification_speeds_conversion_mod_1_8.txt" if you're also using the culture promotion mod).

The mod doesn't work for me either. It hasn't worked more times than it works. It is fantastic and it's a game changer. Thanks to the author but it just doesn't work. It doesn't actually do anything.

@slaneche I don't understand what you are asking here, but my comment was nothing personal if you've taken offense.

You don't keep the mod updated is what I'm saying, probably because you don't have time. I have no idea how difficult it is or how busy you are irl, but this mod is broken much more often than it isn't and that's a shame, because it's fantastic.

I wish someone would make another version of this mod as it seems the creator isn't really committed to keeping it updated anymore. Same for the Auto Increase Control and Auto Promote Culture.

This and similar mods have caused the UI of cabinet tasks to turn into purple squares

ISSUE
The issue for me was "Purple square icons were displayed on some councilor task buttons".

FIX SUMMARY
After several hours of testing, I finally got to the bottom of this issue, at least for my mod list/playset.

WHAT DID NOT WORK
1) Against the original suspicion, it actually has nothing to do with the excellent mod 'Better UI Scaling'; obviously, unsubscribing/resubscribing to it does not fix the purple icons.
2) Verifying game files did not fix anything for me either.

WHAT DID WORK
1) Disabling the mods listed below make the purple boxes go away for me.
Auto promote culture
Auto conversion
Auto increase control
[1.15] Auto-Pause (updated)

Note: I am posting this message to the Workshop Discussions section of each mod to inform others, hope it helps you get rid of the annoying purple boxes.

@slaneche Thanks for replying. It definitely happens for me when I am in Ireland and I conquer the papacy, the pope will continuously spam convert on the province he no longer holds. I have also had it happen in Jerusalem when I conquered there too, the Muslim emperor was trying to convert. It happened to me in my latest game where I made a head of faith on accident in the kingdom of ireland and had to reconquer their lands in oriel because they became independent and the same thing happened. The exact thing it says is "liege is convering in county"

@Tezcat that's the million dollar question. Looking at the files, it seems like a rather simple modification, but I'm no mod maker, so I wouldn't immediately realise if I was doing something wrong. From memory, it looks like the compatch just adds variables for the specific game rules. But again, I'm not about to promise it's a simple update.

@tezcat sorry, I completely forgot I'd asked questions here. Since you're using MGR, you need the compatibility patches, otherwise, it won't work at all.

The bug I reported some time ago is still present. If you conquer lands from a head of faith, they will continuously try and and convert your land and spam the notification.

@mulrich yes i manually started the task for culture and faith and even control. i have all 3 of your mods, and yes i am using more game rules mod as well, sorry for the late response did not expect a replay so soon

@slaneche at least on 1.14.3, the compatch was still working just fine (at least, I didn't notice any problems). I've no idea if it works now, though, with the changes introduced by 1.15.0. I'm waiting for something else to update before I'm gonna give it a go.

This works, but if you have 'More Game Rules' it breaks. Try to remove that, and then unsub/resub this, in case any of you have it on and this doesnt work.

Same for me, tested with only control and conversion mods active, control works but this one does not.
