Using this in multiplayer Official Vanilla, only added a shield. Has been great!

Thanks for great first CV in survival mode. The ship is enough cheap to start and has plenty room for upgrades with good explanation.
P.S> The new Ore/Wood Controller is required replace few extensions around to restore full volume.

Solved
On Creative, the 320k Volume was inherited right away when the Ore Controller replaced the Container Controller. But on Official US Server, I took out the Container Extension immediately behind the newly placed Ore Controller, Volume then read 312k, so put the extension back behind, 320k. I don't know why taking that extension out worked, but it did.

My Starter CV on 2 different private servers was the Wayfarer-ST, now on Official Server figured I'd start with something different, this Ascension. Both very nice Ships, Thank You.
Question; On this Ascension you say to Replace 1 Container Controller with an Ore/Wood Controller if Drill Miners are Installed, I replaced Controller #2 with an Ore/Wood Controller.
Having a Problem though, The new Ore/Wood Controller is only showing a Volume of 8,000, not 320,000.
I replaced only the Controller, did not touch any of the Extensions, any Ideas why It's not inheriting the 320k Volume ?

Very nice ship as always. But I have a problem. For somehow reason the hangar is not pressurized and I can not find the reason why.

would be nice if there was a grav limit for base design(vanilla and reforged eden) and a grav limit for the "suggested upgraded" design as well

@[HUN]Electric The R for the repair bay is hidden under a grate on the floor in the middle of the hangar. Just remove the grate and you can add it.

I am new to EGS also, been playing 1 week...thank you for this ship has really been a joy. I am playing vanilla till I get a grasp of the game before I try RE. I do have one question, I cannot find the R for T2 repair bay. Can someone point it out for me where it goes?

This is awesome. Love the care you've taken to make it available for lower levels and yet easily upgradable. E.g. there are even spaces to place all the stuff as you unlock it. Thanks for making it! :)

A shield, cpu extenders and rocket turrets are a must for taking it into battle.

IN OGG on Spanj's server, all of us started with this CV, this one is an awesome build J!! I now have a fully customised and fitted out Cerberus, BIG ship, so took the ascension and made it a mobile gun platform. Maxed out shields, took out the warp and other unnecassaries, and it is now badass little gun platform for taking out POI's and enemy ships, while the Cerberus sits back and helps a little bit. Awesome builds as usual!!!

I'm using this in Reforged Eden as my starter CV / light miner / freighter. I added in 3 shield capacitors and 1 shield charger with an advanced shield in. It has worked very well for me so far! I like the design of this ship, it is clean, simple and well thought out. The garden plots are nice to grow large amounts of coffee beans to trade to all those mining stations!

This seems to be my new starter CV of choice. The upgrade instructions are great. Access to the bridge with switch for hatch above is ideal for single player. I don't know the rules much so when i added teleporter wasn't sure how to tie into logic/whatever. since i'm always running from mining hv early back up to the bridge, i guess the auto door to the shield/engine room could be turned off and made manual. Another great build, Bravo!

Only weird thing I've encountered is with the storage controller led signs, the words 320k only show when the character jumps and disappears again when he lands back on the deck

Thank you very much Goliath, TOR, severian_of_nessus, and Max Deckert! @ Goliath, it should allow for you to dock HV's in the hangar. It may be hard to get them to the top landing pad, but HV's should dock fine. If they are not for you, I am not sure why. It is a normal game function unless the CV is docked to another CV while trying to dock a HV/SV to it. That would cause them not to dock. I hope that helps. And thanks again all!

Just want to add my two cents worth of approval. This vessel is really good. It has a relatively low build cost, but can be easily upgraded. I especially like the clear instructions on where to place the different upgrades. Nice work, Jrandall.

I've been using this in my game for a little bit now, and it's great. Very flexibly upgradable. Great mobility. Easily modifiable (for instance, I put a "car port" cover over the top landing pad to provide some protection while still allowing easy access for my miner SV).

Basically, typical JRandall quality and usability.

First off I want to thank you for all your creations, and the work you produce to make this game much more fun. I have 3 questions for you and unsure best place to ask as my game is Reforged.

I currently have an Ascension, fully upgraded.

What is next logical CV ship to upgrade to as I can use this one to mine with and stay pretty well protected. I have a large farm and repair complex.

What would be a good SV (with cockpit) to explore and fight with, that would fit in hangar of new CV. I have a Merc-MX5E that I have modified and love but lacks firepower at times.

You have a desert tan color scheme on your Military Survival Series Collection page. It appears to be missing some lines and was curious if could be updated.

I hate to ask all this but you have so many great items, yet I am not sure what is current, without spawning everything in and testing and all of a sudden it starts to be too much like work.

Excellent starter CV! Provides enough docking space for SVs and HVs to really help get out in the Galaxy and start seeking those higher end materials. It’s tough enough as it sits to defend against drones and ground attack. With very little effort it can easily be upgraded with a mining turret to make this even easier. Thank you Garaman and jedichris85! @Garaman, You know, I woke up randomly in the middle of the night thinking I forgot to remove the shield again after testing. I wasn't sure, then I looked at the comments and seen yours saying exactly that. I can't believe I screwed that up. I have updated it again and the shield is once again removed. Thank you again for info and heads up :) @jedichris85, I am not sure. I have done some updates to it recently, another just a minute ago, but it definitely should have O2 in all areas of the ship stock. I have seen glitches before on various creations suddenly not having o2. Normally a game restart would fix the issue. And thrusters should be air tight all the time. So, I think it is a glitch, but I will double check again. Thanks again all!

Hello. Love the ship, as I love all the designs of yours that I've tried. One question. I've been upgrading the thrusters as you've suggested as well as adding the grow plots to the bridge. I have made no other changes yet I somehow have no air on the bridge now. I thought thrusters were airtight? Is my game just glitching maybe? I have used the airtight block debug option and don't see any problem, but I haven't used that tool much so I could be missing something. Also, it was spawned in before the most recent update of your blueprint. Thanks. Keep up the fantastic designs.

Thank you all! Sorry about my slow response. I did an update to address some issue brought up, and thank you for the feedback! @ladder91, I have fixed the issue of no o2 in the elevator as well as the pentaxid tank rads. I relocated the pentaxid tank. I changed the engineering motion sensor to not include the lower elevator, so you have to walk in engineering to get the blicky lights. lol. I have no good solution for the rads caused by the shield when installed walking above. I tried adding another block row by the stairs above, but it would need to block rows and then you head runs into the ceiling going to the bridge. @Spinax, thanks. I ended up changing the door to share o2 with engineering for the elevator. So the workshop blueprint has been updated now. Thanks again all!

Really love this new CV. It has everything I need without having to walk all over the place. The attention to detail is amazing. Couple things I noticed:

- There is no oxygen in the elevator shaft.
- The light by the shower is always on.
- I put crosses in the med bay LCD projector and a radiation symbol above the shower.
- I moved the landing lights motion sensor up one block, so that once you land, the nausea-inducing landing lights stop blinking.
- I put an armor locker and O2 station on the bridge by the door to the landing pad.
- I do wish something could be done about the radiation on the bridge from the shield generator and pentaxid tank. I moved the tank down one block, but couldn't think of an easy solution for the shield generator.
- I am using the upper pad for an artillery turret and two laser turrets. I haven't done much space combat, but now that I have this CV I'm looking forward to it.

Starter CVs usually are not used for too long journeys, so IMHO grow plots area is redundant. In my game I replaced it with 4x320 storage. And added a side door to the pilot deck. It is more comfortable to use rather than drone hatch. IMHO, of cause. Otherwise the ship is awesome.

But dear author, could you please read the comments to the main theme of Military Survival Series. The whole bunch of the latest ones are about broken color pallet Desert Tan. Can you correct it please?

@froal That's a game bug. You sometimes have to replace an extender after you replace a controller to make the volume show correctly. Easiest thing to do is make a new extender, add it in front of the controller, then remove it. That should kick it.

Thanks for your work, I really liked this ship.
I have a few comments / remarks:
1. One of the lamps is not tied to any of the motion sensors. (In the hangar near the shower)
2. There is no power saving mode.
3. No toilet = (
4. There is no place to install offline protection
5. There is no cabin for the crew (just cool, and you need a place for a bed in the singleplayer).
6. The fuel supply is too small and there is no place to install additional tanks.

I apologize if the above sounds rude, I don't speak English very well.

@Ramzay Good point. With all of the places for vehicles it might make sense to leave the ship in space and bring down a small CVs or an SV to do what you want instead of the giant ship. I will add sentry guns for now.

@pads I often end up modding ships a bit myself, and made some modifications to this CV, including adding Sentry guns in strategic locations. My guess is if somebody doesn't really intend to spend much time on a planet with this, sentry guns aren't all that useful.
