@Killerkitty641 I assume that it would reskin the base resistance soldier models to clone troopers, but the resistance soldier models added by this mod would not be changed.

Would this work with cosmetic changes? I have a mod that changes the resistance soldiers to clone troopers, but only the skin, nothing else.

Is there any mod that adds the Chimera Squad Androids as something that can be built, since the models seem to be working fine in XCOM 2?

@오토하스 i believe militia gets upgraded to t2 the same time that ADVENT troopers also gets uptiered. you can probs change it in the mod's folders.

Ah Dragon got to it before me (I echo Beaver, thanks for answering questions!)

But yeah, general rule is don't use Militia mods with other Militia mods. There might be some niche combinations I don't know about but in general you shouldn't do so.

Is it possible to have the existing resistance operatives regen?
I loaded mid game (not in mission, in campaign) and when I went into a resistance mission they are still wearing sweaters and cargo pants and have scar rifles

I got a question, does this mod remove the easy to hit tag from resistance militia? I previously used a different mod that removed that tag from militia and civilians.

Last night I was thrown into the first retaliation mission of my Covert Infiltration run. Well, I was on a map that used a crashed UFO which gave terrible lines of sight and terrible cover. The Pathfinders mod added it's SitRep meaning I had maybe 8 pods to try and take down, all of those Pathfinders having 2 pips of armour, which meant the Militia did zero damage on hit every time. On top of all that I get the Warlock popping in and sending spectral zombies at me every couple of turns. My god is modded XCom so much more fun, and hard.

Maybe the Militia could do with some tweak to at least do even 1 damage to these nasty pasty modded enemies?

Hi, do you remember where to go to buff one weapon specifically for militia weapons? I'm just trying to buff the vector rifle by 1 but idk where to go.

Skirmisher weapons I have them set up to share the same stats as normal Militia weapons if I recall properly, aka they have the same stats and all as the normal Militia rifle so edits to one will edit the other.

Might be wrong, I haven't touched Xcom code in several months.

Hey there! Is the MD_TLP_RESISTANCE_WP_MilitiaSkirmtRifle (plus its higher tier variants) a unique item somewhere I can modify? I'm wanting to buff the Skirmisher NPCs with Marauder (I'm playing with lots of mods and the resistance NPCs kinda get stomped all the time) but I can't find their weapon anywhere to edit.

In that case I can only suggest attempting not to hover over them, the thing about UC is that in simple terms it brute forces every cosmetic to be usable even those normally restricted to NPC types like Militia, Bridge Staff/Clerks, Bradford's clothes, etc

If you mean in soldier customization than that's probably due to Unrestricted Customization or some other mod giving access to the Militia's outfits which are not intended for soldier use in the first place.

Not sure without doing testing myself sorry I'm on break from modding.

I wasn't able to force Volunteer Soldier's to use the exact customization I wanted my last attempt a couple years ago, but I don't think reverting them to their original state is going to change up their customization to what you want either but you could replace the type of unit given entirely but I don't remember the ini file from the base game where that sitrep's setting was.

In the past I tried to add the Resistance Mec's to the Volunteer Army as an additional type of unit but they ended up replacing every instance of a Volunteer Army soldier which is part of why I placed them in the Double Agent pool.

another stupid question: can I revert Volunteer Army units backs to their original state? I mean I like the idea of them being actually useful and not just an extra rookie but Im trying to turn my entire roster into ADVENT defectors and when the rest of the squad is using recycled mag weapons, some dude with crossbow and something other than recycled ADVENT armor on them doesnt fit what Im going for

In one of the config files of the mod there's a mission related ini (forgot the name at the moment but you'll know it by the contents) where I have the set spawns for the different groups, you can probably either erase the relevant lines or you could just replace every instance of another unit with the desired Skirmisher unit aka still keep the same amount of groups but they all only have Skirmishers effectively accomplishing the same thing as the first option in a more lazy but just as valid way.

@Deadput Yes I am using both Lost World and Covert Infiltration which both have missions with militia and Lost. But I agree with you on the fact that it does not need changing. Jut wanted to know. ;-)

There shouldn't be Lost on the same missions as Milita? Unless you have a Sitrep like Lost World or another mod that allows them to spawn on the same mission then they should not be able to meet.

Regardless not necessarily intentional but nothing I believe I should change either, both Xcom and the enemies are able to Headshot lost just fine and I think it's an alright tradeoff for the help against them.

How does this behave with Diverse Aliens by Force Level? I'm assuming it will somewhat scramble the militia pod spawning rules?

just pistols so far: "cheap militia pistol", "high quality pistol" & "militia pistol". its sort of cool to use them. i have like 16 of the cheap ones in my inventory i'd like to get rid of. i have not paid attention to exactly how and when i get them. i start doing so now.

Adding the weapons to the loadouts doesn't explain why you are getting them from drops though, I presume you are getting them if an Alien kills a Militia? Do you also get any other Militia weapons?

Why do you have Militia Pistols, you aren't supposed to be able to get anything the Militia use at least not how my mod is without others altering it.
