@IsakM, just one of the many issues that are a result of the new VJ Base revamp update, but I'll get around to fixing them all when I have the time to do so.

@Zayxp173 The chances of the Particle Storm getting an npc is impossible since no one in this workshop pays any much attention to it.

And I thought the Improved Hydra NPC was buggy??

TL:DR for my last 2 comments: i want particle storm, this does not have a good hydra, type in "improved hydra" in addons for the best hydra AND this addon is good

like the hydra animations in this addon and most addons with hydra are abit shit but improved hydra even though even more annoying to fight because it can only die from explosives AND 1 shots you, it still has great animations and actual variety instead of just basic hydra

yeah i have zippy's improved combine and combine units plus and they are great but i really want the particle storm and also if anybody reading this comment wants the hydra dont get this for ONLY the hydra, oh also i fixed the brickbat by getting an improved version of the default cube map instead of just disabling the default cube map and also back to the hydra thing, get improved hydra SNPCs even though they are in entities they are still technically SNPCs and i love how they did the hydra way more than in this addon

@Zayxp173 There is a mod that adds those (Zippy's Improved Combine NPC's and probably his non VJ Base NPC's, Combine Units Plus.)
As with the Sacktick, it has to be remade just to give it some proper animations, as the one from the broken reupload is nothing but a static model.

Somehow this breaks the Beta NPC Weapons mod, which makes the NPC's have the AK-47 in their stomach.

Kinda disappointed with the changes to the Alien Fauna, having them rapidly spam projectiles at you made them actually threatening. Now they're more or less just an environmental hazard akin to that of the Barnacles that can easily be avoided and shot down from a distance since they can't defend themselves from long range anymore, on top of their sight distance now being absurdly small to the point of making their toxic gas cloud feel redundant, as a matter of fact just having them spray projectiles randomly in a small area as opposed to shooting them from mid to long range completely eliminates the purpose of the gas cloud in the first place.

I don't want to make it seem like I'm hating on the mod or anyone involved with developing it, I actually really prefer this one over various other iterations of npcs from the beta. It just pains me to see an ideal concept thrown out the window in favor of one that is generally less engaging in terms of gameplay.

@AntlionSoldier344 yes and no. They use the beta Combine Soldier models but since there is no beta zombine, it’s technically custom. But that’s what they would’ve looked like if that design stuck.

Since the Zombine made it's first appearance in Episode 1, I'm guessing that the Beta Zombine In this mod is a custom model.

Could something be added that disables the particle effects for the Antlions?
The game starts to lag when there's a large amount of them present on the map and the standard "disable idle particles and effects" in the VJ base settings menu doesn't seem to do anything.
