This mod kinda glitches dashing and makes it totally useless, any workaround?

To everyone who plays with this mod and with Quality of Terraria:
Wand of void - if you grab a chest with it and place this item, Vand, in your piggy bank it will drastically slow you, because, I guess, it's kinda that you are quite literally carying a chest inside of a chest (and as I guess in vanilla you're slowed to 37 mph, but it's conflict with this mod maybe about exactly this moment)

Can you post your modlist? This mod doesn't play particularly well with a lot of larger mods that do their own rebalancing (i.e. Calamity).

That's so nice mod and I got used to it but I faced an issue. Author or others who faced it maybe, please help
Problem is that just suddenly from one moment, it's may be mod broken from me, or other mod started to block it, I now can't go faster than 30 mph with mod, when a) earlier I was able to got my character over 50 mph and b) without mod I can go 37 mph, in clasic way I mean, so I don't understand what did broke it or maybe I changed something. Yes, it's somewhat lot of mods, so maybe one started to block other, but I have no other mod specifically for movement installed. If there is a way to resolve it - please help

@baizhi It's been a while but I finally implemented fully localized text for the modified tooltips, I think you should be able to localize it now?

I was about to start working to fix this, but it seems that when I got my new computer I didn't transfer over all my mod sources. It's currently saved on an external hard drive, but I don't have it with me right now unfortunately. There will probably be a pretty long delay before I am able to fix the localization issues (although when I do I'll make sure to fix it for all my mods, because they probably have the same issues).

Ah, I think I found the problem. It's not so much a specific bug with the game, this is just a situation that occurs when your acceleration is extremely high. That being said, I accidentally calculated the modded acceleration bonuses (Anklet of the Wind, Lightning Boots, etc) incorrectly. However, in reverting this, this will also make said accessories a lot worse. As such, I'm going to do a light revamp of acceleration bonuses in general.

Gotta say, I love this mod, it's well done and the balance changes can truly make movement a viable playstyle.
There's also this bug or glitch that happens when you have too much acceleration in which your inputs are very delayed, specially when switching directions too fast, and I haven't been using mods that alter movement speed in any capacity (Magiluminiscence + Lightning Boots + Anklet of the Wind + Harpy Wings (all w/ Quick modifier, buffed with Swiftness + Exquisitely Stuffed + Happy! (Sunflower buff)), only happens on the ground if curious enough.

This mod is likely not compatible with either Calamity since it already rebalances movement speed in its own way. I'm pretty sure that like this mod, Calamity also reduces the speed bonus given by food items, causing both reductions to be applied at the same time and making food give negative speed. Calamity and TRAE are the two mods that I know that are completely incompatible with this mod.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I noticed my character moves slower if I feed them food (Well Fed, Exquisitely Stuffed, etc.). Even slower on Exquisitely Stuffed. No movement speed gain on Sugar Rush. Swiftness Potion works just fine. I'm using Calamity and Overhaul (beta) mod combined. I tested with and without accessories that affect movement.

Huh, that's very odd. I will test that out to confirm, but I can't think of any reason why that would be the case, since I don't do anything relating to player input in this mod, all I change is the way that stats are applied.

this mod seems to cause a weird input delay on controllers. Not sure if this is because of a mod conflict or something but it made the mod unplayable for me.

I'm aware of the config option, and as you rightly point out, it's gets to pretty absurd speed without the balance changes. i'm also aware that the horizontal movement speed cap is removed as i've had situations where anklet of the wind gives higher max speed compared to terraspark boots because sprinting speed is still pegged to 34/41mph, which is mildly interesting. Thanks anyways!

This is a great mod. That said, it does break a few bossing arena setups that achieves near cap movespeed via non accessory speed sources in order to free up an accessory slot by not using boots. Is it possible to apply the balance changes only when stacked with sprint?

This mod has no effect on falling speed. Perhaps you were holding the portal gun at the time, as that increases your falling speed drastically?

i managed to fly with nothing on at the start of the world by just timing myself as i go left and right in the same general area while jumping, i have no idea why

Does this mod remove the cap for falling speed? In my world i can fall extremely fast and I don't know if its this mod causing it or another mod

Okay. Do know that this will make the anklet of the wind and its upgrades slightly worse, and pretty much the only game breaking thing will be food items giving an absurd amount of max speed.

Can there be a version of this without the balance changes, they kinda take the fun out of it. You can get absurd mining speed buffs too and while I understand movement speed would be more overpowered itd still require setup

I decided to leave them as-is. If anything, it's more encouragement to use them. The movement speed won't make them much more powerful.

idk if it's intended but the tavernkeeper armors still have 15-20% move speed buffs

(I had originally thought of implementing decreased enemy aggro while crouching to allow you to sneak, but I would have had to completely rewrite enemy ais in order to do this as planned.)

@ashhole1714 If you want I could try to add a custom hotkey that toggles a 50% speed reduction or something. It wouldn't affect a joystick, you would need to bind the hotkey to a button on your controller, but it should be possible. Is this something that you would like to see?

is there a way to make it to were the player could run\walk slower than normal by only moving the joystick partially? (it would make building bridges and avoiding traps a lot easier)

I think I'm not going to buff it since after using it in a recent playthrough (not modded, but still), I found the unlimited flight and acceptable horizontal traveling speed still made it worth using.

If you increase the speed of the Black Spot, you should probably do something so that you can't use it for combat, since, you know, the ENTIRE reason it was nerfed SOOOOO much.

While wearing boots in vanilla, swiftness potions will only affect your acceleration (not your max speed), unless you have enough movement speed to surpass sprinting boots speed altogether (i.e. if you have over +100% speed).

What do you mean? This mod makes it so that swiftness potions affect boot running speed, which it doesn't in vanilla.

swiftness potions still work while boots are worn it just doesnt show on the stopwatch
