@Tnaz.v you could use "the clam before the storm" mod for large hordes,

or use the "horde night" mod to span new zombies (set a large spawn distance) so that they form near players but dont aggro (thus becoming normal zombies) then use this mod to redistribute them into a viable horde :spiffo:

I tried to configure the mod from the whorshop folder but I don't understand anything haha ​​f, I need this mod for MP please or tell me someone else that works, I'm looking for large hordes of 1000 z per person or more

How do you recommend that I configure the mod to generate crowded and stuck hordes that move from city to city and that there are also some solitary zs (when I say that they are stuck together, it means that they go very close together, literally, it may be difficult for you to separate them to kill them, I plan to put The maximum zombie generation that allows pz is 1000)

Is there a difference between this mod and "Wandering Zombies"? Or do they do the same thing?

@Euphoria , i think i managed to get it working , somehow, by putting the mod_options.ini in the dedicated server's lua folder, because when restarting the game, and checking ingame the sandbox settings via admin , i can see the values in the vanilla advanced zombie lore options, getting randomized between the min-max values of the mod_options.ini settings, but need to do further testing

Would this work with The Darkness is Coming? I am asking because that mod also changes zombie settings periodically even though it might not be the same parameters.

Doesn't work for coop multiplayer (I don't think?) I enabled it on my client then put it on the server and hosted it so I was able ot change it in the sandbox settings for the server but it doesn't show back up in the sandbox options ingame so idk if itsj ust working in the background

Should make it somehow so zombies can actually rally in forest zones aswell as opposed to that being forced off

I just wanted to say how massively underrated this mod is. I set the chance to randomize quite high (75%) and it has completely changed up my game for me in a huge way. I play with no respawn or distribution and rely on Here They Come and various meta events to spawn/move zombies around. But I can't predict zombie movement patterns anymore. There was a small huddled together group off in the distance when I went to bed, then the next morning they had spread out and didn't seem to be forming groups anymore. I can't just gather up hordes and lead them out of sight anymore because who knows what they'll be doing the next day. It's brilliant.

I'm running this mod on a heavily modded private dedicated server & it is working perfectly!

I run Horde Night on my server, along with CDDA Zeds. After a few weeks of running all three mods I have yet to notice any problems or hear about any from other players on my server.

I added Random Rally Settings mid-game, after the server had already been up for a few weeks, & had no issues with it.
During testing I was also able to remove & re-add RRS mid-game without any issues either.


Working great in both MP & SP for me. Ty for the awesome mod!

Started a new game and this mod really does shake things up! Combined with Expanded Heli Events and these two mods add quite a lot more challenge and randomness to your run. Great mod, very overlooked imo, thank you

Excellent idea, this will pair really well with Customizable Zombies & similar mods
I really like the idea of more subtle gradual changes rather than the possibility of flipping from one extreme to the other - would it be possible to also tie randomization to meta events (screaming and gunshots resulting in a roll for increasing the likelihood of large groups etc)

Issue with applying options has been fixed!

@Transflux That is correct, the % chance per day is whether the settings are all randomized.

One way I had implemented is instead of setting each setting to a random number, each setting is instead modified by a random number added or subtracted to make the changes slightly more gradual each day. Ultimately it seemed too subtle so I went with this. I'll probably add that option back in.

I want to provide some other means of customization in the same vein you mention rather than purely randomized numbers, though I'm somewhat limited by how mod options works and I don't want to fill up the mod options page with too many options, but I should be able to work something out.

The % chance per day is the chance to randomize the rally settings between their min and max settings?

I'm curious how they interact with each other when you get like a large rally size but a tiny distance. Basically create small pockets dense groups? Interesting if so, could create a really dynamic feeling world. Zombies would likely group up and dissipate to varying degrees as time goes on realistically, from sounds to smells to whatever I'd imagine.

An idea some people might like is being able to set "profiles" or like groups of these settings that can be randomly selected rather than entirely random for all of them. Personally I like the idea of it being highly random, but something you might want to think about.

Either way, and wall of text later; I am very excited to give this a go once you fix your mentioned issue. It sounds like a real gem.

Changing the defaults is bugged at the moment, fix will be out soon! Could've sworn it worked fine...
