From now on you need to use this (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3113107852) Sinews of War version instead of the original
!!!
Also I can't find any c_camplung in SoW, only c_bucuresti (whose default name is also Tîrgoviște)
As far as I understand (but it's an assumption), Bucharest was removed entirely in SoW (just as it was also removed in vanilla CK3) and the same title IDs were instead reused for Tîrgoviște (and Solbozia barony and Ialomița county in vanilla CK3)
There are multiple other cases of this even in vanilla, where locations were removed but their IDs were reused for other completely different locations (which is very confusing sometimes). So, instead of relying on title ids, I always rely on their default name instead.
In some cases it also changes their adjectives but there aren't too many of those yet.
In any case, it tends to be pretty stable, most of the updates being relatively small and easy to patch, except for the major ones (like 1.6 was, or 1.5 before it, etc).
Modding does indeed require a lot of effort and time investment, plus long-term maintenance, but it's very doable IMO. You just need to settle on a specific list with mods that are well maintained by their authors and work well together.
If you're you want to worry about all that then consider modpacks, which by definition contain mods that work well with each other. And here I can gladly recommend Community Mods for Historicity.
Guess i'll just have to wait for Paradox to stop patching the game before investing into mods, haha.
Except if you're using the CMH (Community Mods for Historicity) modpack, then you'd have to use MCN for CMH instead.
Only this one should be active. In no cases should two different versions of MCN be enabled at the same time.
Since recently, a compatibility patch between SoW and MCN is needed once again! So this mod will be re-listed on the Workshop and maintained again (by me).
Please use the vanilla MCN version instead. It now works well with SoW out of the box!
Get it here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2217534250
The current version of this mod is identical to the vanilla MCN one.
I will leave it up until the next version of MCN (so that people have time to see the warning), and then I will set it to hidden.
It's already been mentioned in the compatibility thread.
The reason for that is exactly as @Vertimnus put it.
On MCN's part at least, there's no plan (for now) to have another patch or this as I currently don't have a strategy for making patches for patches, and, most importantly, it would increase the complexity and maintenance effort of MCN considerably - which is something I unfortunately cannot affort right now.
Do NOT enable base MCN
