I will seriously pay somebody $200 to do a 1.3x or 1.5x scale version of this mod. Whatever the largest size you can make the models without the hard coded units looking stupid or having to change too many stats. PM me if interested.

Regardless, the problem I had with speed was due to BrutalBattles. I went into RPFM and had to choose. With this the game not only looks better(...vanilla = ants lol), but also plays better(=Cav finally does something lol).

@Gorwe, yes, but only when the mod maker is enabled via RPFM manager, I don't like the default mod maker app. It's taking forever for that 3rd party RPFM mod manager to add TWH3

Never mind that. A fucking awesome mod! It's just ... the units are somewhat slow-ish. Cavalry no longer really charges. For example. And some models, like siege weaponry(Repeater Bolt Throwers, Trebuchets etc) aren't scaled properly. A big thanks for fixing the medium / small unit rank spacing! No more units clipping through each other! Though...there is a weird artifact when it comes to LZD, if zoomed far enough, ther is this weird coloring thing. I know because I changed the colors of LZD factions.

Also, one silly question. Will it work with "Brutal Battles"?

@The Grand Poobaa, the reason why is because you have to individually do the math for the 1000+ units/characters/heroes/mounts/ect in the game for a dozen characteristerics like 1.2 * Movement, Range, Sight Range, Turn Acceleration, ect.

@RaveningHorde, agreed 1.5x scale would be an ideal size, there's an outdated mod that does that & I used to use that too! The reason why those mods aren't maintained is because it involves a lot of annoying math. There's 1300+ units in the game & in order to do the scale justice it's easier to multiply everything by 2 rather then 1.5 since the math gets messy.

I wish the war machines weren't hard coded in the game, that seems like a silly design flaw by CA.

Again, I love how I can actually tell that I'm playing warhammer now and not Ant Simulator 2000, but I think the above problems would be much less of an issue if the scale increase was reduced a bit! Thanks again for the mod and thanks for reading this. :)

Hi! I absolutely love this mod, I've been looking for something like this for ages. Only, would it be possible to create a version that only scales models by 50% or so? I keep running into problems with this version: Units of light cavalry for example have pathfinding issues and get stuck around obstacles, and war machines look comically small next to the huge infantry models.

Also, area of effect stuff like Burning Head are much much weaker now. E.g. lightning bolt only hits 3 models which hugely effects balance. Having them be slightly weaker would be fine, but 2 times larger models means these spells are 2^2 = 4 times weaker which is insane. Also, spells such as fireball almost can't catch up with flying units, since units move at crazy speeds now.

@D6 Sounds good, I'll migrate this mod over to TW3, hopefully we won't need to and the scale will be better in the next game with less ants haha.

If you plan to make the same mod for Warhammer 3, you absolutely can (and should ;)) but I'll simply ask that if you do you remove the 'd6' from the name of the mod (since d6 is me).
If you take the time to make this mod, then by all means you don't need to keep my name on it.

@AbortedMan for updating the scale from existing mods, I x2 all of the scale fields like height, spacing, collision data, reaction radius, ect... I also go in & have a general template for changing rank sizes to coincide with increased scale sizes since most people won't be running this on Ultra or High graphics unit sizes; it does work; but it looks silly since the battlefield may feel small. Also double chariots/siege engines while keeping HP scaled correctly.

For the officers, I'm testing for each unit, but it's taking forever haha. I'll release some of the above mods soon.

@golemm No problem!! I taught myself how to mod since I really wanted Nexus's + D6's work to be resurrected.

I got permission from a few of the above "SUBMODS COMING SOON" list & Kislev is one of them, I'll reach out to the Southern Realms creator for permission & make that compatible too. My goal is to make ScaleX2 compatible with most of the popular unit mods. Eventually I'll do the big overhauls too like SFO, CTT, & Radious but those may take more time haha.

In my private mod library I have officers ready to go for ScaleX2 but I'm having slight issues with a few of the officers running too fast from rest of unit so I haven't released that yet. I'm considering adding officers to this main ScaleX2 mod since it uses all the same 3 tables.

HI, thanks for resurrecting, such a mod is sorely needed. What bugs me however is that mods like Cataph's Southern Realms /Kraka Drak and Kislev Rebornalways remain at the same ant size hight in any mods that increase hight. Is it not possible to include these mods or is it a permission thing? It would be great if all factions would be the same hight.

@Lyndonix, it depends how the battles are slowed, doubling the health of units could do that, or reducing the melee atk stat, chance troops hit other troops in combat, or increasing melee defence stats across the board would do the same thing.

I run this mod with medium unit sizes to make battles last a bit longer, but they still are average 6-10 minutes if it's just 1v1 battles.

I've always loved the d6 and was sad when it wasnt updated so happy to see this again. One thing ive always been curious on is whether theres a way to make a sub that doubles (for example) numbers of troops in regular units and increase health to single entities to match.
I use a mod currently that triples numbers of troops and doubles health of single units. wondered if its possible to make it work with a rescaler like this or at least a way to slow the battles and be compatible with this

@Vsratbrok In Campaign map the horses look a bit funny but they look normal in battles :D

Also the physical Chariot/Warwagon/Steamtanks are hard coded & we can't change the size of the "engine".
