The two last options:
"Set Key to Lock" and
"Set Lock to Key" are not working...

How i can make a door compatible to my other doors?

example:

i claimed a house with keys and can lock front and back door.
now i want to build a shed or garage.
how can i set my existing main house key to work on the new doors too????

Is there a way to disable these options for players? It is a tool that works well for the admin. I wish it could only be used for admin

When you try to reset a key, a new key appears, but the original remains.

Big words, i'll pass on the searching, most of the mod works, could be a conflict with one of my 120 some mods? It works pretty good for the most part, lets me spawn a key if i really need one instead of spending hours luring zombies. I can reset doors but it doesn't do all doors. I was just tossing out things i ran into incase they might need fixing or not. The next time i try it i'll keep an eye on the server and client logs incase it says anything.

@Shyzle what you're describing may be an issue with the saving of the game state. I'm not sure what all properties the game saves and if when door id's get changed, if they get saved as well. I know when this mod was tested on a server, the exterior doors to safehouses did save the new ids. The way this game instances objects is very unique. On some buildings it detects multiple doors as being the same exact door, so when you reset one door, it also resets the other. Don't get me wrong this is a great game, but it looks like it was developed using software that was developed inside of another software similar to it, if that makes any sense. If you want to google what LWJGL is, that might give you a better idea.

Mod has great concept but doesn't seem to fully function right at this moment. I now have 3 doors all messed up and can't get them back to being linked to a single key.

Setting lock to key says it set it. but key doesn't actually lock or unlock that door, and remove the old key it had set to it

Is this supposed to work with player made doors that have lockable doorknobs installed in them? Because someone on my server built a wooden door using a doorknob that was taken from a lockable exterior door but we don't have the key. As admin I would like to be able to spawn the key for them, is that possible? Currently they can only lock the door from inside without the key.

@Emperor Chrome, i suggested that once and it broke interior doors, they just permanently stayed locked. It's an issue with the vanilla game, my guess.

Could you add this functionality of locking either existing or player built doors within buildings, rather than just the entry/exit doors? Hosting a server just now with a group of friends where we are all in the same apartment building, but none of us can lock the doors except the entry/exit doors. Thanks in advance, love the mod so far!

Yeah, my suggestion would be nice to be able to look interior doors if sharing house with friends but wanna keep them out but it seems the vanilla game doesn't know how to handle interior locked doors. Maybe they can change it in a future update. Other wise the other features are working nice.

The issue has been resolved and the mod has been Reverted back to the previous version. For some reason the game often ignores Interior locks by default.

Oh neat! I'll have to give it a try.

Also by chance does this allow the locking of interior doors? I can't remember if i tried it before but all other methods apart from this mod the interior doors didn't stay locked for everyone without keys.

@Shyzle Thanks for your suggestion. I have updated the mod to allow you to equip a key as primary and then set the door lock to that key or set that key to the door lock. So now you can reset the main door and then set all the other doors to that same key.

I just figured out just using the (admin) get key will make it for all doors, but since i used admin reset on 2 doors that 1 key doesn't work for those 2 doors, is there anyway to reset that?

Is there a way to get 1 key for all doors of player own safehouse with this or will it be multiple keys for all the doors?

@Purp if you use (Admin) Reset key, you must then use (Admin) Get key to receive the key. Only the normal Reset Key option automatically gives you the key.

After more testing I determined that all interior doors can be reset in a safe house but the exterior doors won't reset unless i have the key regardless of safe house owner. I have tried being inside and outside. Broke down the door and built a new one. Which actually get rid of the option to reset key entirely. Nothing I do seems to get the exterior safe house doors and/or player built doors to work in a safehouse.

I have tested the safehouse feature on my server a few times and Icannot get the key to my inventory when I own the safehouse and attempt to reset the lock of the front door

By any door, do you mean "exterior" doors? I was hoping to lock certain doors inside a building, but this mod wont let me do that.

@Script_Variable Thank you for the suggestion. I have updated the mod to allow Safehouse Owners to be able to reset the key without having the key in inventory. By resetting the key it automatically issues a new key to your inventory by default when not playing as admin.

I love the idea of this mod! Do you believe it would benefit the mod to add an option to reset without a key first but only if its owned by the player as a SafeHouse? Not all houses will have a Z in them to get the House Key. And not all locations spawn Z's to receive the key.

A potential idea: 1 Doorknob, 1 Scrap Metal (+Screwdriver), let's you reset without a Key first, but only if you own the SafeHouse?
If your mod already allows a normal player to receive a key to the house the first time its reset, then I just misunderstood. Thank you for this mod!
