does anyone else on AGOT mod have issues with using dragon with this mod? I tried everything on Choose Knight Strategy but nothing my dragon events no longer trigger in battle

I would also like to know the difference between battle events and this and if I use both will it stop the other mods events from showing?

@joschmo7 same reason why if you beat an Emperor-level ruler, a Head of Faith, or a Genghis Khan in a duel from this mod you don't get a legend seed. The codes are there in one of the modded vanilla txt files but the game event simply won't call the effect

We'll look into this in the future but no promise, at least on my part as I have no intention to get Chapter IV until maybe Christmas. Regular updates will still be done on DLC release

Love this mod, really goes well with the "Winning Duels Gives Blademaster" mod. However, I've noticed one small issue: whenever you kill a character in one of the mods duels, it doesn't attribute that kill onto the weapon artifact you have equipped. I've killed probably thirty people in duels, but my sword only has one vanilla duel kill attributed to it.

Excellent mod regardless, five stars.

@ArdentEye not the first time you complained about this, and not the first time Platonov advises you to turn the duel opportunity to minimum by clicking right on your character -> choose strategy -> commander

Issue with the mod is duels trigger too much. Wish it could be set to not trigger when battle is overwhelmingly in your favor.

Also issue with battlefield duels is that it feels like you have a 100% chance of winning the duel no matter what unless you do automatic sweep which you can die from. I think I died twice to auto sweep when I had this mod, but those triggers are annoying.

Really aren't too many battles you go up against where you don't have a overwhelming advantage (depending on how you play)

@The Desert Fox I've tested out to see but, for me (and my mods list), both mods I used before do the same : no combat advantage for dragons, maybe more conflict with AGOT but I can't say.

You might be right. I had just heard that particular mechanism/bug was fixed with newer iterations.

@RRxSTM yeah not complaining or anything, I'm fully aware I missed it, just wanted to check as I only just noticed the game update. But if no one has a backup its not a problem.

@Dinoicy you had like 4 days between the game update and the mod update to backup your files and I even handed out 12 hour notice to everyone to prevent situation like this

Hopefully Platonov have a backup but this is a you problem

Game update 1.16 will release in hours. Allow us to study the files before updating in due time. In the meantime anyone playing on past version (because GOT mod etc) and would like to continue to do so, copy this folder -->

Directory: (Steam folder)\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2749369153

And paste it elsewhere. When the mod updates replace the updated folder with the previous one

@我永远喜欢亚丝娜 , authors of the mod addressed my suggestions of adding this kind of functionality, it is not implemented in the mod (and probably won't be), as I made it for my own playthrough. Also, it doesn't affect opponent-knight, but rather his close ones (namely relatives/friends/lovers) in case if opponent faced death in duel.

@Platonov:Hello author, I have added several dueling mods. I noticed that you are discussing the resentment of the losers. Is this the reason for this mod? I think it's ridiculous. The loser who escaped a duel should not hold a grudge against their opponent, but should have a negative buff that reduces their favorability. Unless the opponent has a special personality, such as being vengeful!

In the middle of a battlefield they shouldn't had a grudge about who killed them though as it could be also a random soldier (remember everyone is armored and incognito.

@RRxSTM, I've been working with files and added the following:
- debuffs to relatives/friends/lovers opinion when killing an opponent in duel
- a small chance to gain Rival (among them) and even smaller chance to gain Nemesis, after killing the opponent.

It still needs balancing and adding correct tooltips, but if you would like to - I can share the changed files.

Hello @RRxSTM I think adding renown from duels is not a bad idea. I think gaining renown by defeating opponents with a title is a better idea. like gaining 5/10/20 renowns from defeating a duke/king/emperor, because they appear only after defeating a more powerful knight, it provides a balance of risk and gain. Besides, powerful knights always appear if prowess is high for balance reasons, making it depending on prowess makes renown snowball faster in later games.

(Reposted for edit) Update for 1.15 is out. We made slight change to reduce random Akom/Akan knights spawning when battling army with no enemy commander (examples are peasant & populist rebels)

I accidentally submitted a version in which your character can gain renown from winning duel, ranging from 5/10/20 depending on the enemy knight's prowess. This was intended for private use but I'd like to hear if you agree/disagree with the unintended release and we will change it in the next title update

Again, the bug with special commander duel ending abruptly most likely means mod conflict especially if running together with another battlefield combat related mods

@tusyok again I'm 90% sure its mod conflict. Try what I suggested below

The cursor defaulting to "Commander" is known, just click on whatever position you desired and it won't change as long as you don't pick it up again

You are free to tinker with the files to increase duel chance, we will not change anything that could compromise the stability of the mod

I'm having exactly the same bug as @AndrewMiE.

Choosing the topmost option (Chase commander and leave his guardian) - just closing window without any advancements.

Also, selecting Knight strategy defaults to "Commander", after selecting any other one :/

Could you please let me know if there is a way to increase the frequency of duels during one battle to something like 5-10 duels? Looks like there are frequency variables in battlefield_duel_events, I presume the lowest value is 1?

So far - this one is the best (essential I would say) mod for this game.

why, when i click attack commander (like the king or count of an army), the window just closes? sometimes the duel event will fire but most of the time the event just disappears after clicking that option.

duels always work when i click the other option (one of the champions or knights). is this normal? like is there only a chance to get in a duel with the commander?

Only issue with this mod I have is that events trigger a bit too often. Going to see if I can manually change it would rather chance of the event happening be like 2 out of every 10 battles instead of procing once and potentially 3 times per battle
