Seems officially dead. Sad, was a great mod.

Any chance of this getting updated to fit with the tours and tournaments features (seems like the perfect sort of mod for that)?

@Caloens2k1 I haven't had time to check for issues with CK3 v1.8.* - but if you can use the mod just fine without issues, then there is no need for an update.

No update?

This looks really cool, thanks

OMG I had noticed around olympic games time a lot of citizens of my empire were malnourished. So I thought I had missed a famine event or one was bout to trigger so I built farms everywhere. good to know it was a bug hahaha

Thanks for letting me know, turns out the workout effect at the end of the activity was falsely triggering numerous times for the player character, setting their target weight at -100. The new update has fixed that.

Maybe it's something on my end, thank you for all the help!
Ramuné  [author] 19 Apr, 2022 @ 10:25am
@micro13 No, I have no idea why that would be happening. Taking part in the Olympic Games counts as a light workout, just like going on a hunt does.
Moriak 19 Apr, 2022 @ 10:22am
Thank you! That fixed it. Now they happen every 4 years as normal. Btw when this mod is active it's causing my characters to get malnourished. Are there any mods you know that are conflicting with this?
Ramuné  [author] 19 Apr, 2022 @ 6:09am
@micro13 Open the command console and run "debug_event olympic_games.99" and the games will start within a few months. Make sure that the Olympics cycle is truly inactive in your savegame or they will happen twice as often.

The debug decision isn't showing up for me. I had this mod installed but then I disabled it and now that I've re-enabled it, I have no way to access the decision at all. Any way to fix this at all?

My imperatrix finally received her invite mid 408 and won the games for that year and and that helped her placed first in the imperial election to receive the Eastern & Western Roman empires. Let's gooooo, Roma Invicta
taesunwoo 25 Mar, 2022 @ 8:49am
oh yeah, my imperatrix qualifies, she won the first game she was invited too in 400 AD, its 407AD in game for me now so hopefully the invite will show up soon. thanks again for the quick response!
Ramuné  [author] 25 Mar, 2022 @ 8:28am
@taesunwoo There are some historical restrictions in place: Neither bastards, nor murderers may participate. I have also set an upper age limit of 60 and you have to be an "available, healthy adult".
taesunwoo 25 Mar, 2022 @ 8:06am
Okay, thank you. I didn't receive an invitation for the past 2 games, I think I was either at a feast or at war around those times so that could be why I didn't get it
Ramuné  [author] 25 Mar, 2022 @ 3:28am
@taesunwoo No, that will not block you from receiving future invitations.
taesunwoo 25 Mar, 2022 @ 2:15am
So I made a mistake of declining the invitation from my brother in law will I not receive an invite now for future games?
Ramuné  [author] 18 Mar, 2022 @ 9:18am
@DrNilsson Good suggestion, it will be included in the next update :)

How about a game rule that makes this available for all heritages? :)

"Emperor Theodosius condemned and banned the Olympic Games as pagan and unworthy of Christian culture, with the approval of the Catholic bishops (Saint Ambrose in particular)."

Amazing.

ah awesome! My character speaks latin and is roman culture so it should work. I'll go try it now, thank you for the fast response!
Ramuné  [author] 27 Feb, 2022 @ 12:17pm
@taesunwoo Your held titles have nothing to do with it. The controller of Olympia gets the option to send the invitations every four years to all rulers with Byzantine heritage or Latin language.
taesunwoo 27 Feb, 2022 @ 11:15am
What if you're playing as Roman Empire but hold Byzantium and Italia, will it still work? Sorry if that's a stupid question. I'm just curious and want to try this with my Empress
