it makes no sense when i walk under a 2 block tunnel and drown even though my entire sprite is not in blocks oh and change the hitboxs width maybe make it 2 width bye 2 height

The nonuniform mod will allow you to set custom outfits for every individual crew member. That's the best I know how to offer.

Well I just found out that you can get ferrets as crew members, but if I do recruit one, they wear the protecter's outfit and it looks very weird. Is there a patch or something that lets you remove the outfit?

I appreciate your response! My comment was mainly due to the still sprite standing upright yet floating over a two block gap. It was also partially because I am more used to the 2 block width and the start of the game has only a 2x2 matter manipulator which made it a bit difficult to move with. Height was not really something I was thinking of. I don't really know how starbound's hitboxes or sprites work so I'm sorry if the request I made wasn't something easily done or something that is too much work. However, I have seen a patch mod for a different race that changes hitboxes for the smolavali and I wonder if you can do something similar? (You do not need to respond or do anything for this!! I am already happy with you mod and am kinda curious about this! I think your mod is very cool) (sorry if I am disrespectful)

That's not as simple of a request as you might think. Sure, shrinking the hitbox is simple, but then you have to answer other questions: How much of your body is allowed to clip through the platform throwing you off the cliff you meant to stand on the edge of? Should I allow the suffocation that comes from your sprite clipping through terrain (which wouldn't be an issue if FU wasn't the most popular mod ever and that mod makes epps that allow breathing in space the wrong choice). If I could redefine a specific race's sprite controlling and change the hitbox between each sprite, I would easily shrink the hitbox. As it stands, the best I could probably compromise to is shrink width to match the feet while walking and maybe shrink the height from 2.5 tiles to just under 2.

can you change the hitbox so it isn't 3 blocks wide? ferrets are made to go through tunnels and be flexible noodles so it's a bit strange to have such a wide hitbox.

Follow up on my previous comment, raising the hitbox put the sprite in the ground. I then changed the global offset to raise the sprite back into the hitbox which not only put the arms back in their original position, but also offset placing tiles as they were being placed a tile below where my cursor was.

I started with the smolavali body config file as an example of how to reshape the hitbox. What I might try is to raise the y values of the hitbox higher so that the "center" that is not at 0,0 is lower

I know I had trouble with the party portraits and arm positions, so I settled for not caring about the particles from jumps being in the wrong place

arm rotation points and many of the offset values in the bodyconfig files tend to be incredibly inconsistent in which animation they're applied in so anything that isn't based around where the standard humanoid sprites typically are tends to cause odd behavior
