Is this compatible with ReGrowth?

One cool effect this mod has is making the trees around your base sparser over time while untouched areas get thicker. This kinda happens in base game too but resets itself over time if you don't cut the trees for long enough. It's really good aesthetically cos you can just see which places have been unchopped for a long time, the wild areas.

thank you; maybe you could add something about tree rotting in the description because that was what I was originally looking to change via mod - there were some searches about that on reddit, too (without findings).

Thank you~

@idreamofgeni Should work now.

The Zen Garden trees don't seem affected by this mod, which is particularly annoying since they're MEANT to be largely decorative, so them dying makes that hard.

Reminds me Kenshi expirience, where it is hard to make people die - almost anytime you can heal downed

It seems like vanilla feature, yet it's not. Maybe some game mechanic depends on the trees dying? For the trees not to accumulate at the map edges?

@Rootiga: In fact, aside from annual plants, most plants survive more than a year. Even herbaceous perennial plants will live for as long as conditions allow survival.

This mod is fantastic, I'm not sure why the vanilla trees only live 100-150 days. It makes landscaping impossible when your plants die constantly

as a follow-up to @UntouchedWagons question, it looks like vgp trees (from the core mod and the vgp xtra modules) still have their normal lifespan with this mod enabled :D
Azuraal  [author] 11 May, 2022 @ 1:17am
@UntouchedWagons As long as the their defs inherits from TreeBase or DeciduousTreeBase it will work. If it doesn't met me know.

Does this work with VGP fruit trees?
Lunariastachvresia 31 Mar, 2022 @ 6:33pm
Trees do eventually just wither and die, this normally takes place over at least a century even for short-lived trees though. Still, good mod.

Thank you, this is my newest favorite mod!
TurtleShroom 27 Mar, 2022 @ 11:40am
CURSES! I MADE A MOD FOR THIS AND NEVER UPLOADED IT!
VolatileGlitchAviator 26 Mar, 2022 @ 5:35pm
the fruit trees i mean, it would be amazing if it did, im always annoyed how theres fruit trees in the dead of winter with fruit on them XD
VolatileGlitchAviator 26 Mar, 2022 @ 5:34pm
Ooo does this work with vgp trees?
GHOST 26 Mar, 2022 @ 9:22am
This has always bothered me, thank you!
Azuraal  [author] 26 Mar, 2022 @ 8:45am
@SpagootNoodels Yes that makes sense, however when a tree reaches maturity it doesn't wither and die. IRL trees live until something kills them, be it fire, drought, mechanical injury or a disease.
Spagootnoodels 26 Mar, 2022 @ 7:48am
I would assume the trees on this planet simply have either evolved or been modified during a terraforming process to have a much accelerated life cycle. That would explain why colonists can grow fully mature trees in such a short amount of time.

Still, good mod I think.
