Thank you for the colorblind friendly workarounds for color puzzles, it was intuitive and couldn't have done it without
Really cool idea about hint system, but I didn't realize it was a hint system. It's not my place to tell you what to do. But you could consider adding "Hint:" in front of it for example "Hint: Fish" and "Hint: Key 1"
Another consideration; add audio feedback when clicking buttons such as click or beep noise
Still even as it is, great map!
Maybe like 10 chess pieces are a bit much (didn't count them, but it felt like 10), spending 3-5 minutes just looking for chess pieces isn't that interesting so maybe reduce the amount we need to find .
Also, putting letters on colors is really great for colorblind people, though using Blue and Black in the same puzzle may not be the best idea + black letters on blue background, bad plan.
Finally, but that may just be personal, finding the game card and console before the 4 USB sticks, I had the impression that I was supposed to use it to get the last USB key I was missing (thanks for the hints to tell me I was wrong). It would be helpful if it was obvious we needed to turn on the computer to use the console, like if we could place it on the table even before the computer is turned on.
Great work ! Can't wait to see part 2.
I'll make the hints intentionally vague and increase to be more specific:
1) The in-game hint says: Look up
2) Notice any colours matching?
3) That looks like the starting room we just came from!
4) Perspective
5) If you're looking out from the monitor, what would be the answer from the view of someone outside looking in?
6) In order from RIGHT to LEFT (i.e., reverse order), press the coloured squares that match the colours that appear on the monitor above you, as you are the character inside the game and see the order back-to-front.
7) After getting it right, a noise chimes and the key appears in the colour board to use on the lever.
Hopefully this helps :)

anyway, the first room was cool, personally don't like the thrash key, but with the hint it was okay enough to find it.
I loved the room design, looks super cool and really unique. Obviously, a great amount of care went into the look of the room, love the window view! Oh, and perfect choice of music, too!
Very minor bug: If you skip to part 2 immediately, you will hear the intro speech after you return from the game. Oh, and I feel those fish really should turn around.
