The mod is very powerful since it allows you to 'ambush' every single pod in a map if you play well.
there is a silly almost bug that if a enemy walks into range but this mod stops the activation they can still take Yellow Alert actions like shooting you, or some modded MECs can still use salvo rockets on you without activating.

@p6kocka I’ve been annoyed by this issue for a while. Glad to know it’s this mod that causes it. I hope that Gotcha Again Redux is updated to incorporate this mod or that someone else creates a fork – or that davidtriune updates it to fix the waypoint issue and make it work with Gotcha Again Redux. Would be fantastic!

@hottt3 It does not play well with Gotcha Again Redux. On GAR's Compatibility section, it states it is a nono for compatibility unfortunately.

Adjusted the script with the ";" but noticed the script you say to add the ";" to has a "-" infront of it, not a "+" and the one with the "+" plus appears to be a different code line as the last part reads as "GA2". I have put the ";" in front of the "-" as that code has just the "GA" at the end.

There is a bug with this mod. When using waypoints with CTRL the waypoint markers stay on the ground practically until the mission is over. Can you fix it pls?

@zin no issues reported with lwotc, and ui fix is not required because i have my own (more optimized) implementation with extra features. :)

@Laki It uses the height advantage value "UnitHeightAdvantage" from your XComGameCore.ini , default 3, except I also added unit height as a factor. so taller aliens might have an easier time detecting you. I think drones are taller than normal. I added a new dropdown menu letting you turn this feature off or disable height consideration. or you can simply increase UnitHeightAdvantage to compensate for taller enemies.

Note you can pair this with my mod "Realistic Height Modifiers" if you want unit height to be considered in shooting situations.

There might be a bug or some unwanted behavior on how height is calculated. It appears like all and any positive height difference will get you spotted. As an example some city and slum maps have sidewalks that are higher than "base terrain" this leads to enemies having better spotting from those tiles. Also longwar(of the chosen) drones seem to get really goot spotting as they fly.

If possible you might want to add a minimum height threshold to reveal checks.

This is beautiful, thank you! makes tactical combat more realistic, which is awesome! Funny thing, when advent troops walked to my guy in low cover he was not revealed, which was expected. However, playing with ABA the drone in the pod flew (floated?) upwards as it moved lol. That was an "Oh shit...." moment for sure, which revealed the squad lol its the little things like this that make the game so enjoyabel:steamthumbsup:

I double checked and it should be fine. the latest update is to fix the issue for when you are revealed but they are not aware of you. make sure your friends file is updated ("date modified" is 9/23/22 for \workshop\content\268500\2797341225\Src\CrouchLower\Classes\CrouchLower_Utils.uc)

So for some reason incapacitated units are still revealing on a friend's installation
Is it possible the last update you did right after that broke it again?
I haven't played much since then, so I don't remember if it was working properly still after the first time I tested it.

Confirmed now this mod causes stunned or shutdown units to reveal you when you enter their radius

at least when combined with my other mods

It happens no matter what rule is used

It doesnt allow hiding if you are really exposed, basically. Base game lets you hide with some pretty ridiculous angles which is why I added it. I actually didnt even code that part, the function was already part of the game (but used for shooting chance calculations).

I'm noticing that my units will be revealed behind cover (including half-cover) when aliens get very close, with the mod activated. I've tried various configurations and get the same results. :(

I did try to resolve conflicts within my code, but that depends on my mod being loaded after Peek From Concealment. I think Iridar is referring to the fact that the load order is not guaranteed. so if you get issues you will need to do the instructions mentioned here (under Troubleshooting)
