@DonBaTzu @ww1212w12 Thanks! :)

@Justin I'll look into it some time into the future. I haven't actually checked out Roads to Power yet.

Also with new administrative government you can end up being emperor without wanting to be Looks like it's a bit more work to make it work though, since that's just in ommon\succession_appointment\admin_emperor.txt and doesn't use any scripted triggers.
DonBaTzu 25 Sep, 2024 @ 4:59am
Thx for this mod, use it for long time.
Ramuné  [author] 24 Sep, 2024 @ 10:05pm
@No Name Probably not, though I have not yet looked into what exactly the official new decision to abstain from elections does.
This mod additionally allows you to renounce claims so that claimant factions can't pop up in your name.
No Name 24 Sep, 2024 @ 5:19pm
Erm this isn't needed anymore right? In the preview for the dlc/patch they showed off the new way to decline elections in HRE that they made.
Pedro El Mortic 12 Aug, 2024 @ 1:43am
thanks!
Cruentus 11 Aug, 2024 @ 3:32am
As soon as I enable the decision I am replaced as the dynasty leader as well.
Is this supposed to happen? All I want is not get elected as emperor of the HRE :D
4ntidot3_ 24 Jun, 2024 @ 1:46pm
Finally!, thank u!

@ray It was "updated" yesterday. No changes were made.
rayancoelho 4 Mar, 2024 @ 10:52pm
Could you please update the mod to the new patch, 1.12.1? Many thanks in advance!
Xherdos 20 Feb, 2024 @ 1:32pm
thanks for creating this ain't really a fan of being Forced into HRE Kaisership :D
Labargoth 18 Nov, 2023 @ 12:02pm
I have done that. Is it maybe not possible to renounce "implicit claims" whatever that means? In my game for example I was playing as the duke of West (and East) Franconia and the duke of Bavaria pushed the Kingdom of Bavaria onto me because I had an implicit claim on it just like the claim on the elective East Francian kingdom.
Ramuné  [author] 18 Nov, 2023 @ 11:01am
@Labargoth You need to take the decision to decline elections beforehand.
Labargoth 16 Nov, 2023 @ 3:13pm
How do you renounce claims with your mod? I haven't found an option to do so, not on my own character, the title nor the current title holder.

Thank you!!

@Nocan you can refresh your mods in the Paradox Launcher by going into "All Installed Mods", clicking the refresh button on the top right and tick the "Also clear out cached information and update from server" prompt. Then reload it.

For some reason my launcher is unable to sync playsets after subscribing to this mod and is not showing up in the mod list

Quite often I find most mods, even from v1.1.0ish still work fine.
Only problems occur when there are trait mods that modified existing traits, custom traits are fine, and/or used in conjuncture with mods on a different version that copy everything from the base files and modify one thing, which is surprisingly common on Steam.
IE a 00_traits file with only Giant edited, yet all the traits in the game, except new traits, are in there.
Meaning it conflicts with any mod that also has a 00_traits mod or the base game that has the 00_traits file.
Should be named XX_traits, where X is whatever, like what this mod does, which is good and why it's compatible.

@Ramuné By the way, nice profile picture! Have a good day!

@rayancoelho The mod works in 1.7, just tried it.

The first time when i launched the game, i crashed, but i guess the mod loading in for the first time or something glitched out, i really don't know what caused that.

However after that, i loaded up the game again, and it works fine.

Please and thank you for reading and i hope you have a good day and night!

@Ramuné Mod works in 1.7, Please and thank you for making this mod! Now i can actually get the Robertines on the throne of France without having to make the current duke OP (Since i'm not primarily playing them, playing a viking in England rn)
Please and thank you for reading this, and once again thank you! Have a good day and night!
Ramuné  [author] 9 Sep, 2022 @ 5:11am
@rayancoelho I mean, while using the mod. That just notifies you that I wrote '1.6.*' in a random mod file.
rayancoelho 9 Sep, 2022 @ 5:06am
Yes, there is a notification saying that the mod is made for version 1.6.*
Ramuné  [author] 9 Sep, 2022 @ 5:01am
@rayancoelho Did you encounter any issues with 1.7?
rayancoelho 9 Sep, 2022 @ 4:38am
Could you please update the mod to 1.7?
Ramuné  [author] 31 Aug, 2022 @ 3:15pm
@Fred yes
31 Aug, 2022 @ 3:00pm
Is there a decision to remove the trait?
Doctor Alcoholo 28 Aug, 2022 @ 8:34am
Essential to play in the HRE
ulix 16 Jun, 2022 @ 3:13pm
Perfect. The problem is the same as in CK2. Say you're the king of the Netherlands, and are integrating Falnders into that kingdom. As soon as you become emperor, the integration stops, and is reset when you're "only" king of the Netherlands again. There's other issues with succession as well, like losing control of counties that aren't in your original de jure. Quite annoying. So thanks for this mod.
Voltage 7 Jun, 2022 @ 11:08pm
10/10 mod, should be in the base game. I can't count the number of times I've been playing my local ambitions out and suddenly got the Reichskrone slammed on my character's head because all the other eligible rulers turned out to be adulterous cannibal non-believing witches or some such nonsense.
skela 14 May, 2022 @ 9:13am
Exactly the Mod I was searching for :)
Ramuné  [author] 23 Apr, 2022 @ 1:54am
@adam909 It should work fine in existing games. Since it only disqualifies any character with the trait, your active character is safe from inheriting the HRE while your heir can still inherit your duchy when your character dies.
adam909 22 Apr, 2022 @ 2:45pm
Tested and it seems to work with no issues. I just twigged that I won't have an issue with my own realm's duchy elections because I am voting for my player heir and unlike me my heir isn't excluded from being voted in.
Thanks for this mod
adam909 22 Apr, 2022 @ 2:32pm
Should this be able to work fine with my existing game?
Also wondering if you can just choose to opt out of some elections but not others. For example can I refuse to be elected Holy Roman Emperor but still be eligible for the Duchy of Tyrol which I gave an elective succession law to help ensure the mine of Innsbruck goes to my player heir.
Ramuné  [author] 22 Apr, 2022 @ 1:15pm
@Long I didn't like how the other one included all elective succession files to assign a negative election score to the player. By doing that, the modder essentially locked out any vanilla changes made by Paradox to those systems.
Glad you're also enjoying it!
Long 22 Apr, 2022 @ 9:32am
Noice. I'm needing this. There's also another mod that refuses the election, but the trait icon kinda ruins the immersion for me.
