It works for me! Only players with the "ö" in their steamname are not shows as example: "Jörg" it only says "Jrg" anyway nice mod :)

It only changes the name when it's survivor.

Does this mod still work properly ? How I understand it, this mod forces players to not use the name survivor but instead their steam name. But, can they afterwards change, to another name than their steam name ?

This is letting me join w the name Survivor. I've tried setting it as both a server and client-side mod. CF tools apparently doesn't let you set the same mod as both server and client (without them being separate mods. Exxample: Expansion-Book and Expansion-Book-Server).
