it may or may not work after the habitat update, I haven't tested it. In theory it should be work since it doesn't directly touch the habitat code but there may be complications somewhere. Might check it out when I have the time and motivation.

Nevermind... I removed this mod and I'm still getting a crash, just in a different file. Something must be screwed up or perhaps it's a memory corruption.

I'm getting a consistent CTD from this mod in the late game.

Any idea what could be happening here? I have all of the Planetary Diversity mods installed as well. Do you know if they conflict?

@VI6 D DARK KING Making a decision to add an orbital ring is my end goal but currently I lack the ability to, the code is different from habitat code so I can't just copy it and change a few values.

Suggestion: Add A Planetary Decision To Build A Habitat If The Planet Has A Orbital Ring And Vice Versa.

@Serifina Yea, that would probably do it, I'll need to have a poke around in the gigastructures files, see if they've got a better solution than me.

I think Gigastructures does some kind of weird stealth replacement of the Orbital Ring, which is what's making it all not work. So I haven't been building Orbital Rings, I've been building the Gigastructures version of an Orbital Ring.

I've done more testing and I can find no reason why it shouldn't be working other than inteference with other mods which I can do little about, it works fine every time I test it.

That said I still view this as an interim solution until I can figure out how to add orbital rings as a planetary decision similar to habitats.

I'm unable to build a Habitat on a planet with an Orbital Ring, and vis versa. It's just not working at all. With the Space Elevator built, if I have an Orbital Ring in place, the decision isn't there. If I build a Habitat (via Construction Ship or Space Elevator decision), it won't let me build the Orbital Ring.

Interestingly, if I activate the decision to build a Habitat, and while that's building, build the Orbital Ring, I'll have both.

I'm not aware of what I might have that causes problems but I can't get this to work. Causes a crash at startup. It's the newest mod added and last on the list, right after elevator.

I found out that I can just use console commands to allow myself to build both so it's not an issue!
