Holy shit, it's perfect! I was looking for an add-on to add spooky random events to the game since the collection was first *made,* and now we've got it.

Also yes, I accept any kind of feedback for all of my collections, including and especially requests for add-ons to be included. Thank you.

Sorry if you don't do request, but I think this would be a great addition the the collection ([GM] Paranormal Events) :https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3442309010

Good news everyone: The collection's received a somewhat major update! I don't really do version numbers for my collections, but if there were any i would deem this update as "Horrify Garry's Mod v2." Here's a simplified overview of the changes to fit into Steam's 1,000 character limit for comments:

REPLACED
- Action Cam has been replaced with GTA IV Camera System and Enhanced Camera 2
- F.E.A.R. Nombat Music has been replaced with Action(?) Music - Horror Mix
- VManip Flashlight has been replaced with IFL - CLIENTSIDE Improved Flashlight
- Extended Render has been replaced with Dynamic Light Controller + Basic Features and GlowLib [1.2]

ADDED
- Replace Half-Life 2/Garry's Mod Props with Breakable Props
- Realistic Explosion Shake Effect | FEAR Shake
- Footprints
- Schizophrenia

The full changelog (including justifications because ofc) can be read here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2811962145/552359478871213009/

I dont have any addons outside of the collection (only ones that are disabled, yet im pretty sure none of those mess with the fov.)

Turning on the flashlight seemed to make the action camera instead of showing my third person animations, it seemed to show the viewmodel, not only the animation seems to change because of that fact, the muzzleflash suddenly changes to mmod, which wasn't happening before.

Maybe it was always supposed for the arms on the action camera to be the viewmodel and i never noticed.

Also im quite surprised this collection is very light on performance, loading times are basically the same as having little to no addons installed, i guess i expect every collection with hundreds of addons to be very heavy on performance, specially on load times.

"turning on the flashlight causes the action camera to get really weird"
Don't use any add-ons outside of this collection that screw with the FOV, that would probably be what's causing it. If it's something from inside the collection, then sorry, I'll need to do some testing
"cs animations simply aren't working for me"
They're only for third-person, and they can sometimes be subtle. Though if you really don't see them, then don't worry about it too-much, it's not critical to the experience or anything

Thank you for the feedback!

Really cool collection, i quite like it! but i see some weird thing about it? like turning on the flashlight causes the action camera to get really weird and have new muzzleflash, cs animations simply arent working for me, other than that, i really like the concept

Alright, great news: Horrify Garry's Mod has made it into the top 10 most currently popular collections on the G-mod Workshop, and it's still rising! Thank you all for your support and for enjoying Horrify Garry's Mod, it means a lot to me to have my worj be acknowledged.

In less dick-sucky news: I've made the (controversial?) decision to add the Half-Life 2: MMod weapons to the collection. My justification for this is that these weapons are easily the most realistic interpretations of the Half-Life weapons that exist, and the small realistic touches, such as hitting reload after fully loaded to inspect the gun and Stunsticks damaging the player underwater, add a LOT to the collection in my opinion. Mind you, this is still not a(nother) G-mod Realism collection, but immersion is very important, and I believe that these weapons aid in immersion by a lot. But regardless of how you use Horrify Garry's Mod, as long as you enjoy it and it introduces you to some great add-ons, I'm happy.

OK, real quick: Even bigger updates recently, including the addition of actual ambient music courtesy of F.E.A.R (as well as an add-on to (try and) remove the map's music), and improvements to Action Camera now that it's more-or-less the center piece of the collection. One of these was the addition of CS:GO viewmodel options so that people can self-fix strange viewmodels thanks to Action Camera, CS:GO animations to make the camera bobbing look better as well as other players in thirdperson, and the removal of Automatic Player Looking, as it was found to be causing wonky camera issues with Action Camera, sadly.

Thank you for your support, and for getting the add-on onto the front page for collections. I really appreciate it!

I've updated the collection again, and I think there's a good chance that Horrify Garry's Mod may now be perfected. There have been several small changes, like zombies now being able to run (now that I've done some testing and am more certain that most maps won't break), and the brand new addition of Action Camera, which believe is perfect for this collection, despite its flaws. However, Smooth Camera had to be removed, since Action Camera already has a similar effect and Smooth Camera broke the viewbobbing effects.

If you're reading this (somehow) and you're a subscriber of Horrify Garry's Mod: You should disable/unsubscribe from Smooth Camera before "updating." Thank you.

Small improvements to the collection made today. I added some additional effects to the collection, improved the description and troubleshooting discussion, etc. Thank you all for the support this guide has received, it means a lot to me that my work here means something to people, though I am a little saddened by the fact that the collection did not hit the front-page by the time Halloween rolled by, but eh, what'cha gonna do?
