I would like to forward Sunstriker's question about this. I'd also like to inquire about the recommended rig to use for this model, for the longest time i defaulted to the one provided by mets back in the day. I'm concerned that I may be doing something incorrectly about the facial bones, specifically the eyelids as they seem to phase into the model when the slider is used, unless I'm not meant to use the slider.

@MARKY: You need to make sure the model's viewTarget location is in the right spot. SFM assumes characters are at a "human" height by default, so you'll need to raise or lower it accordingly (plus adjust the convergence) for the pupils to show up correctly depending on the character.

Considering the last time the devs were online, i don't think i will get an answer, but i have a weird problem that was showing up for also another model i downloaded (King K. Rool smash ultimate model)
The eyes won't show up, when i move the eyelids i just see some gray space, how to fix this?

@Sulphurous: Nope, they're the same resolution for the most part, it's pretty much just the colouring that's different for Sonic's at least.

@RandomTBush I forgot, were the Generations textures higher or lower resolution than Unleashed? I'm intending to map some 1024x or 2048x textures with a more detailed normalmap and an extra detail layer that includes the subtle blue hairs to add some extra depth to him, so i wanted to know if what i was doing was redundant or not.

Non-jokingly though, it's based on the Unleashed one since it has a higher polygon count compared to Generations, even though it uses the Generations textures instead.

How did you get Hyper Sonic's flashing effect to be so smooth? I've got a friend who is working on a Hyper version of a Sonic character for me, and he can't get the transition between colors to be that smooth, it just flashes between the colors in jerky stops.

@boigamer225: Can't port a character that doesn't have a model. She only appears in pre-rendered cutscenes, we can't magically make a model from a video.

@CrazyTitan9496: The Source engine needs eyeballs to be centered so that you can make the characters look to the left and right extremes without the other eye disappearing. You'll need to use the "convergence" option to get them to look the way they normally do.

The knee moves the literal knee, not moving the knee AND the leg.
