So basically daemonculaba from 40K, or axlotl tanks from Dune, if you prefer. It's not like this concept has never been done before.

Eh I'm only a year late. Yeah, deleted the whole dungeon. The community felt it was very out of place due to its incredibly explicit nature, so it was censored, and then about a year after that it was quietly removed altogether. Without going into too much... Detail... The dungeon basically involves you fighting and murdering children, babies, and horrifyingly mutated mothers that are little more than golems of reproductive organs.

People felt it was out of place. DarkGod, upon introspection, agreed, and caved to the pressure. Can't say I blame him, but I do think that the original dungeon is actually rather fitting in the lore, if rather extreme.

Huh? Whats the context. He just deleted a whole dungeon?

Fantastic. I hate content being cut, and the thing about stories is sometimes disgusting shit happens. I don't see this as a reason to burn the books, as it were.

Thank you for this Addon.

Alright, courtesy of great effort from tome's resident save debugger StuntOfTheLitter, there might be a fix for the problems with this addon. Hopefully this version fixes things, though probably only for new games with it. Please report any further errors.
AuraOfDawn  [author] 28 Oct, 2014 @ 4:46am
Yes, it should work up to the current version of tome. If someone finds a flaw preventing it, I'll fix it. (Should be true for either version, though I still recommend the other one since I can't seem to find a fix for this ones intermittent bug.)

Will the original version of the add-on work even though it's versioned as 1.1.5?
Darren Grey 27 Oct, 2014 @ 6:10pm
I'm surprised to find there's this "purists" version. As the person that invented the Orc Breeding Pits and wrote the lore I recommend using the other version of the restoration add-on - it includes a number of gameplay tweaks that are much more appropriate for the zone.

Just an update here - in a new run, I actually forgot to switch to the regular add-on, as per your suggestion. When I got to the East, the pits are once again missing. So although I can't reproduce the bug at the start of a game, if I play organically and wait, it seems frequent for me. Perhaps the entrance actually spawns then despawns?

Thanks for your efforts :)

This is.... very strange. I can confirm that it didn't spawn on your file... But I can start a new game, walk onto the map, and find it. I'll try and chase this down, though it's unlikely to fix your game in progress. I'd recommend using the regular breeding pits addon instead, in the meantime, at least until I can figure out why this one only seems to work sometimes...

Wasn't sure if there was any single file with the overworld data so I just zipped up the folder of my current char. [bitshare.com]

If you have one from the east that can't find the pits, with this addon active, then yes I would like it.
Laivasse 1 Oct, 2014 @ 12:13pm
I believe I'm having the same problem as the other poster. I don't often make it to the East, so I don't have many test cases to compare against eachother, but when I have done, I haven't seen the Breeding Pits. My current run is the first where I've really made a point of searching the whole map before I inevitably die, yet I still can't find it.

Are save games still of use to you?
AuraOfDawn  [author] 12 Aug, 2014 @ 11:23pm
I've received 3 reports of this, and more that everything works. If it's truly not spawning on your end, I can't replicate it on mine. Each character I've spawned has successfully found the pits. Are you sure you've explored all of the east? The location is randomized each playthrough (like places like the hidden compound, and elven ruins in the west) so maybe you've overlooked a diagonal corner somewhere?

Failing that, zip up your savefile and upload it somehwere, so I could look myself?
MKCyborg 12 Aug, 2014 @ 1:11pm
I can't seem to find the Breeding Pits. I've played several games since subscribing to it and explored all of the Far East, just to be sure. Could this be a bug?
AuraOfDawn  [author] 5 Jul, 2014 @ 12:00am
The lore is identical in this version and the other version I run. The sole difference is that this version is the original uncut version of the pits, from version 1.1.3 and earlier. The altered version still allows everything to be done, it's just less offensive and disgusting. This version was created because some people wanted a 'censorship free version' with no changes. I've done as they requested, though if all you want is the gameplay aspects, EVERYTHING you could want is still in the other version. This exists purely as a form of protest against censorship, I guess.

Don't use this with my other orc pits addon, only turn on one or the other, or the game might fracture into pieces and scatter across reality.
Bumblebee 4 Jul, 2014 @ 11:44pm
Thanks. Now I can get some more lore :)
