Ofc!! I think 4.0 will be interesting. Hoping it will fix a lot of performance issues
Imp0815  [author] 11 Feb @ 1:04am
Thanks for the feedback. I will try 4.0 when it comes out, and if the game reinvigorates my passion, I will try to keep this moving forward.

I really like the mod ive been messing around with it alot and as base the -50 percent research bonus hits you like a TRUCK (but with other mods it becomes negligible) stll tho i really like the mod and im interested to see more

Nvm there were some changes to formatting in the code i had to abide now and some techs are no longer valid. But it should work now.
Imp0815  [author] 13 Oct, 2024 @ 8:55am
@Mortarch Of Blood - What broke? It starts fine alone.

The Emperor protects! (and updates)

PRETTY PLEASE!!
Vivo 6 Aug, 2024 @ 10:42am
really cool mod, do you plan on updating it for 3.12?

Since the leader gets 'the chosen one' trait, is it possible to hardcode AI empires with this origin to not choose the option to change ethics/civics? I force spawned an AI empire with this origin and they had completly different ethics and civics from what I designed when I encountered them in game. 99% certain its because of the government rework from 'the chosen one' trait.

Hey, some stuff has happened, and now I could fix the "Just subjugate everyone" exploit that killed my enthusiasm last time, as I do not want to fumble with the main game files, which would make this mod incompatible with other mods. But now this was fixable, and you can start breaking stuff again.

is it working still?

FOR THE EMPEROR, BEGIN THE CRUSADE

@Lord Castellan sure have fun!

Hey, I've been working on making a compat version with 40k planets, would it be OK for me to use your origin editied to use those planets and publish it?
Imp0815  [author] 18 Jul, 2022 @ 6:54am
@Lazar This is not an issue from my mod as it seems.

@mishanya1337 I worked some days on fixing this but to stop somebody playing this origin and just gobbling up Empires as vassals in the beginning is only blockable by modders when replacing vanilla files and as of now i'm not confident enough to do this. If somebody experianced and willing to help has an idea how to fix this issue please step forward. Until then i go back to my chamber of udnerstanding and you have fun playing on harder difficulties and steamrolling the AI.

Construction Ships aren't buildable!!
mishanya1337 13 Jun, 2022 @ 8:48am
holy shit this origin is so OP even when playing with every AI having an advanced start and GA
Rex 7 Jun, 2022 @ 11:44am
Construction & Science Ships aren't buildable or what?

One correction - Dark Age of Technology in Warhammer40k was an age with the most technological advancements that was BEFORE the Age of Strife, in which the humanity has fallen; humanity has never again become as advanced as it was in the Age of technology. It is called 'Dark' because people in that universe believed that technological progress was responsible for all the suffering that happend during the Age of Stife; also because progress and reason were enemies for the people in power. In reality that Age was a golden age of Humanity. The Age of the Imperium is the age your mod is about - Civilization built on long-forgotten technologies.

Suggestion: You could toss in armageddon bombardment in there while you're at it. Maybe some what to get cyborgs without doing half of a heretical ascension path? Just a suggestion.
Willem 6 Jun, 2022 @ 7:48pm
@Volkov Permanent... it's kind of part of the Origin.
Volkov 6 Jun, 2022 @ 7:25pm
Question, the 50% debuff to tech...how long does that stick around?
Imp0815  [author] 6 Jun, 2022 @ 12:56pm
@Svijj, thanks for the info, this is exactly the things i'm looking for! I did not have this in minde when designing this. I look into this and how this could be avoided. Next time, less sarcasm and in the specific thread!
Svijj 6 Jun, 2022 @ 12:51pm
Thanks to the sheer technological weight alone, I've succesfully subjugated a neighboring civilization by 2206. Very nice, 10/10
Imp0815  [author] 5 Jun, 2022 @ 11:16pm
@MajorGeneralPike form your comment i can guess two things, first: if you start the game and look into the research without unpausing, yes there are at first no techs avalible. You need to run the game for a secound so it can roll new techs for your current tier. This is not avoidable as far as i know.
Secound: its a sarcastic frase for have to wait for 200 months for one tech to finish ^^
MajorGeneralPike 5 Jun, 2022 @ 2:19pm
Question, I took your origin, am I supposed to not be able to do any research at all?
psodica 5 Jun, 2022 @ 12:54pm
Goes great with the shroud rising crisis mod that causes shroud warpstorms which monsters pour out of
Imp0815  [author] 5 Jun, 2022 @ 6:12am
DIY 40k. :LordCommissar:
kaelis 5 Jun, 2022 @ 5:44am
So is this YOUR version of 40K or what?
Proof 3 Jun, 2022 @ 10:48am
Nice to see the mod on the workshop, keep it up!
Kamen Rider Nexus 2 Jun, 2022 @ 4:39am
Besides, doesn't the Age of Strife tick all the checkmarks for an ACTUAL 'Dark Age'? IIRC, wasn't the Dark Age of Technology actually Humanity's GOLDEN AGE in 40k?
Imp0815  [author] 1 Jun, 2022 @ 9:01am
I tough about that but i would rather default to "Dark age FOR Technology" than "Age of Strive" because it is has less connection to the overall theme of the origin. And like i stated i want to hint in the direction of 40k but its not fully a 40k origin. ;)
AlphaLoures 1 Jun, 2022 @ 8:14am
Oh yeah btw is actually called The Age of Strife when between M25-M30, not the era of dark age of tech
AlphaLoures 1 Jun, 2022 @ 8:10am
This is absolutely amazing!
Imp0815  [author] 1 Jun, 2022 @ 1:50am
Hey @Aetherial and @Willem i updated the Disclaimer i hope this awnsers your concerns. :)
Aetherial 31 May, 2022 @ 5:25pm
Seems like this should spawn a few other same-species empires with similar research restrictions but maybe other ethics.

Unless the entirety of the outside empire is supposed to be gone, I don't know much about 40k, haha.
Willem 31 May, 2022 @ 1:58pm
Actually: The Imperium's worship of the Emperor did not really start gaining traction until a couple of centuries into the Great Crusade, which is why it does not make sense to start out Spiritualist... and it makes more sense to have that develop through Events as you reunify more of the Empire if you have an Immortal Ruler if you want to keep with the 40K theme.
Imp0815  [author] 31 May, 2022 @ 10:06am
Well the Man himself maybe not but his fellowers are ;)
Dr. Nolegs 31 May, 2022 @ 9:48am
The Man WISHED his empire was as well, and we both know how that worked out.
Willem 31 May, 2022 @ 7:43am
"Requires Spiritualist Ethos"
Uh, The Emperor was Anti-Spiritualist.
