PGO changes all the random build option in the Proving Grounds to instead unlock those options and make them buildable at will. So instead of building Experimental Ammo until you get 2 Corrosive Rounds, you will build it until you get 1 of them, which will unlock a new, specific build options for Corrosive Rounds and you'll be able to immediately make a 2nd one instead of continuing to roll the dice.

Prototype Armory changes Squad Build items, like Predator Armor, that unlocks an item in infinite quantity, into single build items.

Vaguely similar, but very different.

why do you have both Proving Ground Overhaul and CI's Prototype Armory in the playlist? ive only played with prototype armory before and from the description of PGO, they seem to do similar but different things

I just have one question. Why is the cannon 3 on ammo size? It feels counterintuitive. Not many classes can use it based on what I'm seeing, and even if they can its such a gamble compared to the assault rifle, I'm forced to bring an ammo guy to assist him just for it to be worth it, and only on early, after Magnetic weapons I don't think its viable.

Anyone else tried this setup on legend in a 6-man squad? I've tried three times now but get absolutely destroyed around June. Bio Mechs, Requiem troops, Nightmare (stealth ripper with reqiuem) and so on. Would love to hear from others if you have finished it on 6man.

Thanks for the responese! I am using the majority of your collection, even your mods. The only one that I am not using is the 8-man squad because it seems too much.

I am not culling any enemies from any of the enemy lists, and I enjoy all the enemy mods I am currently playing with. I do run mods (my own mods) that balance out spawn rates and difficulty spikes.

Hi @RatherIncoherent. You are using a ton of mods that add aliens, some of them overlaps a bit, like mutons. Are you removing aliens from this mods? It would be nice to have a curated list of enemies.

Oh, my bad, not used to a newer mod in the list. The projects are split between "research projects" in the provings grounds and "small, repeatable projects" in the combined lab and workshop. This is from (I guess obviously) Combined Laboratory and Workshop. I'm not sure if you can edit the ini to change it back mid-campaign. I'll definitely be changing my tweaks mod to move it back to the original PG since it feels a bit out of line with the other things move to the combined lab and workshop.

Heavy Armor is a proving ground project (E.X.O. Suit Project) unlocked after Plated Armor.

Found the problem the latest changes to hunt the chosen "Hunt Chosen I -> Assault: Supply Raid Mission -> Hold for Plot to Complete (either Kill Codex or do Blacksite) -> Hunt Chosen II -> Infiltration: Hack for Intel -> Hold for Plot to Complete (either Kill Avatar or Complete Forge mission) > Hunt Chosen III." . Thank you once again for the help and for this list , the only list i come back to everytime i reinstall xcom 2, thank you !

Looking into it, there's this console command:

SpawnCovertAction <COVERT_ACTION_NAME> <RESISTANCE_FACTION>

Possible values for COVERT_ACTION_NAME
CovertAction_RevealChosenMovements
CovertAction_RevealChosenStrengths
CovertAction_RevealChosenStronghold

Possible values for RESISTANCE_FACTION
Faction_Skirmishers
Faction_Reapers
Faction_Templars

So if for instance, it's the Chosen hunting the Templars, then the console command to force spawn the 5th part should be:
SpawnCovertAction CovertAction_RevealChosenStronghold Faction_Templars

Additionally, in case of user error, check to see if you've got any unexplained assaults in your bar and you've just missed something?

Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with the issue you're talking about and not sure what could be causing it. I'd recommend asking over at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2614923470 since the problem is either with their mod or a conflict with it.

Please man , can you help me ,i tried your collection in the past and even now , but i can't ever do the 5th chosen covert op , the chosen facility is locked and there is no 5th covert op to unlock it , please can you help ?

It absolutely would and I'm surprised that I wasn't running it tbh. Definitely just fell through the cracks. When I update this mod list later in the month for my planned for future campaign I'll definitely be adding that.

A minor annoyance: I've got nothing from a "prototype items" scanning site. It said I found some old weapons, but no items in inventory and nothing new can be built. After I build the proving grounds, nothing there, either. Or perhaps I got "current-tier prototypes" and my current tier is ballistic, so it's just the free stuff that doesn't show in inventory. :) I will know not to scan these rumours next time.

Hah, mystery solved: Disallow Infinite Scrolling from squad select apparently sometimes blocks scrolling of the squat altogether, random. Thank you again!

Right. I will do just that. I will uninstall all mods and reinstall. One more quirk I noticed: Tactical HUD Lag Fixes requires me to edit a config of WOTC - Extended Information! manually. I hope that's expected, and I did that and the conflict message in AML is gone. I'm just making sure my setup is not totally broken. Otherwise I may need to reinstall XCom2 totally. All the best!

1) Explosives Destroy Corpses is a mod I ended up removing from the modlist at some point because I didn't feel it was improving the game.

2) I'm not sure why you'd be seeing normal assault missions with 6-man squads, but still having Infiltrations and Retals at 8-man. That's very weird and I'm sad to say I don't know what could be causing it. I wouldn't think Jane Kelly would be the cause of it. I might try resubscribing to Covert Infiltration and my 8-Man Squad Size mod in case Steam beefed it on the install on one of them?

Hi! This is obviously the best CI mod collection right now on the market. That out of the way, I just noticed my assault missions have 6 characters limit (defend a gizmo and get enemy material). The Chosen retribution mission just before first supply drop is still 8 persons though. Did I break your mod collection by adding Jane Kelly? But I also noticed the Explosives Destroy Corpses mod is not listed on this here webpage, so perhaps there's some kind of a corruption (not that I care about corpse destruction, I was disabling it outright). And I tested that corpses are not destroyed by killng with explosives any more.

@replay64 They do very similar things but aren't identical. Commander's Choice lets you pick from all the classes, where as Choose your Class lets you pick from a random subset of them.

one last question if i can, i played with this list a bit and it's really good let me tell you that the balance on the weight of enemies it is a pain to do in the ini files and i appreciate you for your efforts. i wanted to ask why did you include commander's choice instead of choose your class isn't that the better version and also updated?

Thanks for this, i was looking for a CI based modlist to customize a bit myself and this is right up my alley with regards to your love of a lot of enemy mods and maps.

Also thank you for your work on the various weights, follower lists, etc. I know the effort it takes and its much appreciated.

I've got a goofy, MGS codename-style character pool that I use. Made it myself with name randomizers and very minor outfit customization, but it's not uploaded anywhere.

hi beautiful mod list i had a question. with all the cosmetics mods is there a specific character pool you're using? i always see modlists with a bunch of cosemtics in them and i ask my self if people really take like hours to create their character pool armor by armor.
