Small issue I noticed: if I disable (and then repair) a ship from a federation and I am not in a federation, I am unable to retrofit any of the vessels.

is there any way to get it to not pop up an event notification every time a ship is disabled? i'm fighting a faction that spams as many ships as possible since they're cheap and weak ships and every half second fighting them the notification will pop up and pause my game

I see that @Cryptid sent some material for compatibility with Star Wars New Dawn. Is that implemented in the latest update? Or is that coming in the future?

Awesome mod, well implemented.
I do notice the AI doesnt always decide to repair ships - Ive seen allied construction ships sit nearby and do nothing sometimes. Cant fix dumb AI I guess?

@talesofwill The way it works is that every time a fleet enters a system, a small number of its ships (up to ten) are flagged as "will be disabled if destroyed". If a fleet battle then occurs in that system, and any of those ships his 0 hitpoints, they are disabled. If the flagged ships are not destroyed, the flags are reset once they leave the system.

Since the flags are handed out randomly, and not all ships will actually be lost in battle, it's unlikely you'll see more than a handful actually disabled in any given battle, even in the late game. I'm open to increasing this rate but I don't want to clutter up the UI and cause lag.

only mods allow reverse engineering, however thats with pirate, murader, and some older ships(the ones that look like Crosses) HOWEVER, this also adds those ship into other faction ship list, you can capture or craft them.

I would suggest looking into standalone ship mods to add to the ship list.

@Botroas Disabled ships will have 5% health when you capture/recover them; docking them at a starbase will repair them back to 100% like any other ship.

a repair platform works fine? to capture you need a constructor ship, not science.

Could you please tell, what repairs a newly (re)captured ship will need, if any?
Or its just a flavor stuff in the info panel.
Are there any parts that can not be reparired/used, if the new owner do not have techs used in the building of the ship?

Yes it still works. Im using the mod atm.

it doesnt directly effect a ship type Directly, 90% of the time its just a reskin, it has a chance of causing an enemy ship to do derelect, you can then get a constructor to claim it, Ide also suggest getting the scavenger mod and trait.

Can we have a higher chance for disabled ships? Or the option to select the percentage chance for ships to be disabled? I feel the chance is pretty low by default.

I have reloaded a save no less than 12 times trying to capture a pirate galleon. And so far only two ships out of the very many ever had the option.

@joakim.westergaard - I'm using this mod with Orion 3.6.1 and so far it's working great. In my war with the Zhakira Pirates (I call them that because they emerged from the Zhakira Patch nebula) I disabled a pirate cruiser and was able to salvage it. Really cool game mechanic! Paradox needs to add this on a future update.

I have a question:
Let say I've captured some pirate ships, when I sent them to battle, will pirate able to recapture the pirate ships I've owned (no Enigmatic Engineering), or since pirate didn't have construction ships, they'll get destroyed immediately?

Is this the same for Fallen Empire, I can capture Fallen Empire ships, can they recapture Fallen Empire ships?

@mzilli My question is about this: "Does the AI actually use this?"
If the AI captures your ship do they gain research on the tech they don't have yet. Same goes for players.

If it's not a thing yet, could you add that feature. It'd be pretty cool to gain new research from capturing ships.
