thank you very much for the explanation and for all the modding work you're doing on xcom 2.
I also use the EXECUTION mod from udaya.
Whether it's the “skull” icon or the “fist” icon for an execution, both work in game but the “LifeTimeStats” counter remains at zero...
Is there a solution so that this is taken into account in the files of this super mod that is LifeTimeStats?
i have a problem with the execution count.
it doesn't count them, the counter stays at zero...
has anyone had this problem and is there a solution?
thanks
... and I have extensively tested ALL the story missions myself multiple times in the past trying to track down a reason/cause for the reported issue and in about 30 attempts have never gotten it to crash/softlock.
I'm at a loss to explain it, sorry :(
I've tested the mod with both RPGO and LWotC and didn't have any issues. Admittedly the modlists won't be the same, my guess is there is a stray perk doing stuff that isn't allowing garbage collection to finish.
I am using just under 100 mods, most of them are rpgo and lwotc and all their respective requirements / add ons.
The game was crashing either at the main menu or at the end of a mission.
Problem 100% gone when I unsuscribed , and all the others mods I use work perfect.
I don't recommand the use of this mod because it was real pain in the box for me.
You can uncomment the Bladestorm ability in the .ini
Had the mod installed from the start. Am running RPGO fyi.
Fix is in the configs please read and adjust the offset numbers for to suit your monitor
Does not work on ultrawide screen?
Status is moved to left so I can't read them properly :(
Thank you for this mod Rusty
It's unusual because any issues in this mod would be the same regardless of game mode, and the mod itself doesn't do anything directly related to end of tactical either.
All mod code is also run and handled by the game engine, so as long as the game is running stable, it shouldn't honestly matter if it is on Windows or Linux.
It is more likely that the issues you are running into is an accumulation of modded effects, with this one just being "the icing on the cake" that pushes the limit.
Tbh, a Segmentation fault sounds like something from your PC/RAM simply not being good/large enough to handle the games transitions with the amount of mods you are running. The transitions between tactical-strategy is when the game needs to load a bunch of stuff from the mission into memory, and it is failing to do so.
The only thing I could speculate on is since it only happens going in/out of battles, that when you load whatever buffer/file you store the info into, there's something happening /sometimes/ there. Highlander makes things case-insensitive, but Linux is a case-sensitive environment. Maybe this mod is running into something with case sensitivity that Highlander isn't handling? Also, if mods like More Nations add character names that're non-ASCII, could that be causing issues? Either/both would explain the inconsistency on crashes. -- tho Not the fact that if I stubbornly try over and over again to punch through a crashing transition, it'll /eventually/ work.
So yeh, no clue. Happy to do any testing you want, tho. And open a better detailed issue on github
I am but just a modder, I have no idea how this mod cause be causing a CTD, and issues on a Linux install.
I'm using the Linux-native install. I'm running LWOTC & ModJam+. I have an ultrawide monitor, but never altered the configs for this mod (to make it look right). I have some other QoL stuff in, and some other fixes in. It's /possible/ this mod isn't the root cause, and just has some weird interaction/conflict with another (AML says no conflicts)
Rusty if you have a github or something I'm happy to open a bug report for this, and pour all the details I can into it. I typed more, but 1k char comment limit ain't enough to explain anything
More than likely from Kexx's Female Clothing Packs ... it's a top and a jacket combined
I just ran through a small campaign this morning, with the Tutorial, Lost & Abandoned, the Viper Nest and Lost Towers ...
With this mod installed. Not a single break. It was actually pretty fun doing a rushed-run on rookie difficulty, with minimal mods compared to what I'm used to playing with.
If I can't reproduce the bug, I can't confirm it exists and I certainly can't fix it. it is highly possible that something else in your modlist is causing an issue for you.
I can confirm that this mod does NOT cause story mission crashing.

Obviously those panels are suppose to be positioned as per the mod screenshots, yet yours seem way out of line to the left ... and there shouldn't be any other mod doing anything with the new screen, as well, its a new screen... so that leaves either bad config, or ultrawide is messing it up .... ...

Also the panel positions should all be in the config, so you can adjust them :)
I use the same method for counting "grenades thrown/launched" that the in-game Analytics uses. It might behave weird with modded stuff. Sorry. I can't test/troubleshoot everything, but will investigate.
Expected Accuracy Score. Should hover around zero. Positive means that soldier has hit MORE shots than expected, negative means they've hit less.
This metric was put place as a request from Wolfson / FleetAdmiralJ and uses logic provided by Wolfson. This was mainly used as a tracking stat in ChristopherOdd's last xcom run - calculated manualy for each soldier- and we'd like to try and use it in a future run with this mod, possibly.
@Zaku II (Alias WatcherZigzagoon)
Yes, sorry this can only track stats after installation, except for "days aboard" and "days in infirmary"... (and the "death notes") ... which are tracked by the game prior. The reason for this is before the mod is installed there is nothing counting the other stuff ?!
-----
As a final aside what's up with the "Expected Accuracy Score" stat? From what I noticed it's always either zero or a negative double/triple digit number.
No clue what's up with that if true, one crazy thought I had that it might be some crazy interaction with grenade damage breakthrough from "More Breakthroughs" which I had in previous campaign but haven't triggered in this one (yet). Maybe I should start tracking grenades for a mission or two, to see if it's really 'fixed'.
That shield is from Lago's [WotC] Alternate Shields, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2070794226
For some reason, that mod has been hidden from the workshop.
