And another clown award for a three year old mod ^^
Keep it coming guys, I always welcome a laugh.

Indeed, that "New DLC" is a pack of several mods that are already available right now...

5 new biomes, with two almost unplayable? You can find dozens of biome adding mods, most being way more interesting that those announced.

Weather interactions, freezing water? Yup, already available on the workshop, for quite some time now.

Multiple biomes on a single map, interesting geological formations? Well, guess what ^^

I suppose I'll try that DLC, I mean after more than 2K hours on this game, it deserves a bit of my attention, even if only to check how these mods have been integrated and hopefully enhanced...

But the devs won't get a single cent from me, that's a given.

A great game atificially kept alive by sucking the blood of its most dedicated fans, sad and shameful but entirely true.
They don't even seem to try and hide it anymore...

MagicHP, please check out the new DLC. I think you'd enjoy being proven evern more right. i don't have a problem with the DLC, but i have to acknowledge a good prediction when i see it

After almost three years and two expansions, someone awarded this a clown award...

I guess someone feels salty but can't be bothered to learn how to make their own mod ^^

You're 100% correct MagicHP.
Tynan can go suck a big fat one.

No need to spam those skulls, I have already said and explained why I won't update those mods or even play this game ever again. And given the current state of the game and of its modding community, it seems I'm not the only one.

Stop supporting a game that robs the modders that made it great in the first place.
Or learn to mod, it's really not as complicated as you may think, and you'll understand what I am saying here when the next "DLC" releases ;)

@QeoJin Probably not, I have been pretty disapointed by that "DLC" that just monetizes existing mods, and I have been copiously insulted for saying so in the forums.

Therefore, there is only a very low chance that I will ever play this again. If that happens, I'll update my mods, until then someone else will have to do it.
QeoJin 27 Oct, 2022 @ 6:56pm
1.4 update?
GravitWry 28 Sep, 2022 @ 10:23pm
Huh ok, nice to see that simply copying and pasting the yellow line in the debug log sent me here.

Thanks

Oh wow, that's awesome! Sorry if I accidentally sent you down this rabbit hole haha, hope you end up learning something new though!

Just some news: The issue is indeed located in the assembly part (the .dll ) . I never modified a .dll and my last experience with C# was more than 10 years ago...

But all is not lost! I'm still on it, learning and asking for help here and there ^^ Don't get your hopes up, I can't give ETAs or even be sure that this will succeed, just that I'm still trying.
MagicHp  [author] 16 Aug, 2022 @ 9:14pm
I checked a bit today, can't find where the "order" to set those psycasts is. If it is in the assembly part... Then I won't be the one to fix it ;)
I'll try a few more things, but this doesn't look good.

The archotech hologram actually spawns with VPE psylink perfectly fine, so the only thing that should need to be done is the removal of psycasts being granted when an archotech hologram is spawned: no idea how impossible that might be as a simple patch mod. I'm not really sure how to figure out what mod is causing the issue with granting psylink via archotech spore though, but I'm glad it's apparently not an issue with SOS2 or VPE specifically.
MagicHp  [author] 15 Aug, 2022 @ 8:25pm
I meant the issues with psylinks sorry, the hologram psycast is indeed an SOS2 internal issue (well, at least it looks so to me ^^ ) . I'll check if I can change that but honestly that sounds a bit over my abilities ;)
net 15 Aug, 2022 @ 7:22pm
@MagicHp That's weird, I'm pretty sure I don't have any other psycast related mods installed. I'll have to test it in isolation I guess. Although I'm still pretty sure that the archotech hologram generating with old royalty psycasts is a thing, since that's just part of SOS2 and isn't (yet) compatible with VPE.
MagicHp  [author] 15 Aug, 2022 @ 4:48pm
@urist Hmmm I don't have any of the problems you mention, it seems to be a conflict with another mod...
And in any case, you should ask SOS2 creator since you are asking to directly modify his mod, it is different than this simple patch.
net 15 Aug, 2022 @ 1:53am
It would be nice if there was a mod to make SOS2 actually compatible with VPE besides the icon and meditation focus fix. Archotech spore hologram generates with old royalty psycasts and granting Psylink to a pawn is buggy and won't give them any neural heat or psyfocus, and allow you to use any ability for 0 cost.
MagicHp  [author] 8 Aug, 2022 @ 4:07pm
It doesn't change anything, all it does is link archotech meditation type to VPE systems and add an icon for it.
Meaning that you will gain VPE xp when your pawn uses an archotech type meditation (and get rid of that pesky yellow line in the log ^^ )
Krof Gninut 8 Aug, 2022 @ 3:28pm
Question: does this affect the way the archotech spore automatically gains every psycast? Or does it still get just the non-VE ones?
