As much as it pains me to say it, I agree that I do not recommend using Player Dollhouse if you are using many mods. Especially if you have "unconventional characters". I tried it, dropped it the next day and went back to Unrestricted Customization.

I wish the part of PDH that allows you to set colors for armor pieces independently was turned into a standalone mod. That's the only feature I really ike.

That's the neat part - you don't. :)

I did try giving this EyeX support years ago, but it was a pain in the ass to work with as the color hexes i'd punch in to the config file never matched what they were *supposed* to look like in-game, so i dropped it.

PDH probably shouldn't be used, honestly - dude came in, made the mod, fixed *some* bugs with it, then dipped out back in September, leaving PDH in what's essentially a perpetual beta state.

Any way to add the eye texture seperately so EYExtender / Dollhouse can work with this or will I be giving Sonic & pals all aviators from now on?

I think Project Dollhouse might have a similar issue to EYExtender.

late, but should note -- anyone else having that issue with UCR should be able to toggle off the Gender filters at the top of the parts list to let you use whichever version of the tail (or any part) on whichever gender. Since the tails here are exactly the same for Males & Females, there's nothing to worry about, nothing jank should occur from doing this.

It's the best option you'll have until i update the mod... however many years later, lol

I COULD just, duplicate the archetypes so Males & Females all have unique archs, but i've also put making small updates to this on hold as i was in the process of making a massive overhaul to this, which... i honestly don't know when / if i'll finish, lol.

No, UCR is the problem. It hates when parts use the same archetypes between them, and the Tails here use the same archetypes for both Males and Females, making it trip up and only display the parts for one gender.

Also happens with parts that are included in multiple categories, but the Tails only belong to the Shins slot, so it's 100% a gender issue. Funny, since that bug is supposed to be fixed in UCR, but i guess it's not as this problem still persists in a lot of places.

That's strange. I use this mod and didn't have that problem. That being said I also use Unrestricted Customization Redux so maybe that's why.

Some of the cosmetics such as the tails seem to be locked behind sex. So I can’t give Tails his ‘tails’ because it’s locked under female cosmetics while all his other bits are locked under male cosmetics. Any way to fix this or am I boned?

Thank you for this mod. I am having a BLAST! Here are a few very rushed screenshots of them more properly sized using Iridar's resizable armors. I dropped Project Dollhouse entirely, it still needs more time in the oven.

Also random anecdote about when rng makes characters just right... I am trying a mod called "Starting traits" that assigns a random trait to each soldier. So I was setting up an overwatch ambush on Gatecrasher and when I tell Knuckles to enter overwatch, a red warning pops up saying "Overly Aggressive!" and instead shoots the guy dead and blows everyone's cover.

So I checked his active effects and read "Overly aggressive - When oredered to overwatch might immeidately attack instead". And I was speechless. That was such a Knuckles thing to do, despite all the trouble it caused me.

@KInsect I don't have issues with height. I in fact editted the config file to allow even lower numbers (default minimum was 0.92 for some reason) so that they can be a little over half a regular soldier size. My problems are 2. Sonic's eyes are more like Sonic.EXE. And also the hair coloring doesn't apply very well. Looks washed out no matter what I try.

I'm sad to inform this mod doesn't like Project Dollhouse. It gets the same problem as with Eyextender. Let me go sit by the window as I ruminate on the cruelty of the universe.

So I was messing around with this and I didn't uninstall EYExtender first just to see what would happen. It does indeed look terrifying. But I found out something WEIRD. If you're using Iridar's Appearance Manager (and I really don't see why you wouldn't), go into the Stored Appearance menu, and back out, this will SOMEHOW un-overwrite the EYExtender textures and give the character their proper eye texture back. Sadly, on some further experimenting, this seems to only happen in the character pool and does not persist into the actual game. Still, might be something to look into?

is it possible to edit some of the vanilla xcom cosmetic's to fit the mobians body like the Anarchy's Children Vest and Rockstar pants, Hot shorts, normal Shorts (and blast padding version), Knuckle dusters, and maybe even edit the tiered armor types to fit them?

Uh, no, everything in this pack works on both genders. I recall the reason some parts act like they're gender locked is because of Unrestricted Customization, at least the old version. When you have a body part with entries in multiple slots and for both genders and it's using the same part archetype between all of them, it shits itself and only shows the part in certain slots and genders.

I think it was supposed to be fixed in the Redux version, which you should be using if you're not already. I don't use UC at all at this point, so i can't help you if anything else goes wrong with it.

for anyone wondering, a lot of the unique parts are gender locked as female. So with unrestricted customization mod, just select female as well and they;ll show up

For something so strange it's so well made. So I have a request (If you even take requests that is) so Ratchet and Clank is extremely underrated so if you plan on making another out of the box cosmetic mod. Ratchet and Clank needs some love. Plus if you aren't going to non-human cosmetics I'd be totally fine taking human versions of the armor and clothing.

Well no, i can't, 'cause then you'd have to pick between having a tail and no pads or having pads and no tail.

But you did give me an idea, i realize this mod doesn't add any Shoulder parts, so that means the joint pads can get both those and the Forearm slots for themselves.

Probably the best i can do as well, since the only other option i can think of would be to add an excessive amount of extra entries for combined Tail/Pad parts in the shins section.

Are you using Unrestricted Customization Redux? The base version has a bug where, if you have two separate body part entries that use the same archetype, it'll bug out and only one of those will be selectable. Originally, the tails in this pack all had unique archetypes to prevent this issue, but after Redux came out and fixed that problem i stopped caring ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did. That's why I asked. Cause I was sure there was a problem.
I checked again, just to be sure I wasn't just blind yesterday, but they were not there. I even looked for them with Unrestricted Customization's search feature in under every category, but there was nothing.
But then I had the idea to check if they are gender-locked and, lo and behold, they were. Every non-hedgehog or non-Blaze tail is female only. I don't know if this is just a problem with Unrestricted Customization or something on your end, but at least I found them.
