SOG AI works pretty well here, and is highly recommended. "All In One Command Menu" turned out to be vital for equipping the brothers with backpacks and appropriate weapons. Use it to tell them to pick up enemy weapons, or weapons from caches that you remove and place on the ground for them. (You can tell them to re-arm too, and you may need to do so a few times in a row).
Simple Camoflage and AI Can't See Through Grass will both help and hurt you here. The Americans are damn near invisible, and the brothers are spotted pretty easily based on what they wear.
There were a few technical hiccups I noticed. First when you link up with the main group of rebels and start pushing the American base... yeah they get overrun by infinitely spawned NVA trackers pretty fast. I managed to break away, slip into the base, *spoiler*, etc. Difficult, but definitely not the epic battle that you might have meant it to be. Nobody made it anywhere near the base besides the bros. The "end mission" option at the crate failed, so I had to end it manually using Zeus. I made it home with the second brother and a truck full of weapons!
But otherwise, this was an incredibly challenging mission, and worth it for the reality-check and cut scenes alone. 10/10, would go to therapy if I were a surviving brother.
