I wish we could have the old warhammer II sieges back, they were not unneccessarily complicated. Warhammer III sieges feel like chores with all the "objectives" and barricades and defence towers

Thank you. As much as I've tried to fix sieges with mods, at the end of the day the AI can't handle them and breaks.

With that said does anyone have any mod recommendations to add on to this. Reason I ask is, for example, Kislev gets buffs for supplies but with this mod they are useless, Didn't know if anyone knew of a mod that maybe changes that to something useful, like a leadership buff or def buff for garrisons.

Same issue as sweetnerevar. Since there's no siege battles the Beastmen tech "Empire Of Beasts" is impossible to complete. Any chance of making a mod to tweak this? If not, just gonna let this comment be a warning to other Beastmen players. Love your mod!

I'm using a mod that re-adds t3 walls https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2876864283&searchtext=t3+walls and it is conflicting with this at tier 3, bringing major settlement battles in. This is more a for your awareness thingy.

I'm guessing major settlement battles turn into regular field battles? Would like if they turned into Minor ones, couldn't find anything like that.

Hey, many thanks for the mod. Just wanted to report that a branch of Beasmen's technology tree is locked with this mod as it requires you to win 5 siege battles. Would greatly appreciate if this could be changed to smth else or just unlocked from the start/turn x. Cheers.

Is this something that can be enabled and disabled mid campaign without borking the functionality of either the mod or everything else? I was hoping I could use this only to force land battles when defending as wood elves because of the extreme lack of wood elf siege maps.

Freiya, I never knew I needed this mod but thanks to you I actually no longer autoresolve most sieges since half of my army is no longer obliterated by Hexoatl towers :D awesome idea and this mod is a keeper

@andrews94, still no issue on my side when the Barrow Legion holds the city. The conflict could be caused by mods adding unique buildings or changing some buildings, otherwise I don't really see what could be the cause.

The faction was the barrow legion, i am not sure of the city level, they had only just captured it, it would not have been very high, I do not have any overhaul mods or any other mods that should interfere with yours. I tried it 4 or 5 times each time CTD. as soon as I disabled your mod no CTD.

@andrews94, I don't have the issue on my side, do you remember which faction was owning Castle Artois and what was the city level ? The issue could also be caused by an incompatibility with another mod.

This Mod caused a CTD when attacking Castle Artois, I had to disable it to fight the battle.

Thank you for this mod. I use The Great Settlement Battle Overhaul which has garrisons that can be really touch to crack in the early game, but I use your mod for the first 20 turns of a campaign so I can still get going. =)

I guess it could be possible @Freiya, but only to some extent, by making a mod that keeps the walls for a specific faction but removes it from all others. You would still have siege battles when fighting your own, of course, but it would work. That would be a ton of work though. However...would it be possible to have, say, a modifier linked to an event that triggers at game start, giving the option of enabling walls for your current race ? I know its possible to modify what buildings do with technology, by adding garrisons, recruitable units, ect, but I have no idea if that could be doable.

I thought this issue was fixed in the latest patch 2.4, where a settlement garrison no longer arrives as reinforcements, instead they start the battle with the army.

@The Senate, It's not possible, at least not with the current system. The mod "removes" walls from buildings directly in the DB so it can't make the distinction between the AI and the player.

Wish there was a way to make it so the settlement garrison is present at the start rather than arriving as reinforcements. Figured out how to do it for minor settlements but not major

The dark fortress for kholek army, doesnt seem to have his walls removed. I thought maybe a conflicting mod, but i tried this mod alone and still there are walls.

this is awesome. i hate sieges. it would be cool if there was a version of this mod that made siege battles minor settlement battles instead since minor settlements are land battles now. i also wouldn't mind forts/gates to stay as siege battles, since those are special and you won't fight through them often
