@Dejaboo I know this has been awhile but there is a bug where sandbox settings will not update in this version. You can add one of the loot settings mods from my workshop page to better control these. You may also consider CDCRR Community Edition for your multiplayer games. It is out and in final testing now.
DéjàBoo 28 Mar @ 11:42am
is there a way to increase the chance of getting the drops in multiplayer mode? in solo i can up the chances but cant seem to control it in multiplayer. im hosting a game with a friend thats new and we have found 1 airdrop in over 300 z kills

So glad you're continuing to work on this
Sahji 21 Dec, 2024 @ 3:12pm
Gotta say I have basically been subscribed to your mod since I discovered it. It is vital to my playthroughs, pretty much - even now testing 42, I am playing with virus mortality off while waiting for your mod. Obligatory can't wait for 42, but really take your time with the redev. It is clear how much effort you put into the previous version.
Robo_Robinson8912 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:51pm
OOOOOH, NOW YOU GOT ME VERY EXCITED FOR IT!!!!
Phil J Herman  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:50pm
@Robo_Robinson8912 - Thank you! I appreciate that. The new version isn't just an update to B42 either, it has a lot of new features and lore that I hope everyone will enjoy.
Robo_Robinson8912 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:37pm
Thats wonderful to hear!

Can't wait to get it once you're done, its hands down the best!
Phil J Herman  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 10:50am
B42 conversion is already underway, it will be out soon! - I will most likely be releasing it on a separate page than this one.
Robo_Robinson8912 20 Dec, 2024 @ 1:44am
Think you'll update this for build 42 or wait until its out of unstable?

this is my favorite cure mod, I love it a ton!

CDC Rapid Response not instaling workshop show mod with 0 kb and not see in game mod window
Phil J Herman  [author] 20 Sep, 2024 @ 2:42pm
@Luke - As of now I think that ambulences are not on the loot list, but I will see if I can identify that and add it as I like that. However, if I remember correctly, the vehicles I think might use some of the outfit settings to spawn loot and if that is the case, some ambulences might have loot provided they are "owned" by a first responder or that that first responder is nearby. - As far as the blue mod tag, that is the result of zomboids mod system. You may check the options menu maybe under mod settings and see if there is anything about it. If I recall you can disable that with a setting.
Phil J Herman  [author] 20 Sep, 2024 @ 2:42pm
@Deon - Thank you for using the mod and your kind words. I enjoy using the mod when I am playing with random on everything so there are sprinters and door openers. I find it is a more enjoyable and terrible experience overall with a lot more close calls than without. I really appreciate it!

@Real Canadians Never Die - Thank you for your kind words! Love the screenname :)
Phil J Herman  [author] 20 Sep, 2024 @ 2:42pm
@Closet Pankin - Thanks for using the mod! I cannot recall but it is very slim unless for most meds. You may be able to set it in sandbox (it has been a long time so not sure), otherwise it is something below 1 percent chance I believe and not on all meds.

@january 27th 2032 yea im s - Thank you for using the mod and checking how it works with susceptible! There are no auditory halucinations... but I can absolutely add them and I think I might do that. >:) If I do it I will make sure to credit you for the idea, thank you!
Phil J Herman  [author] 20 Sep, 2024 @ 2:42pm
@Tosh1ro - If I remember correctly there are issues with susceptible - or any other mod that has background calculations that determine things about infection. This is because those mods will not respect if the infecton is turned off via the existing booleans. When they finish whatever cycle (often per minute or hour or day) they will tend to switch these back on, resulting in sickness if you are not sick. Now, it is possible that some of these behaviors may fit your gameplay, so you can test it out and see. But it is possible you will get weird behaviors like dying suddenly weeks after an infection - so, trial and error really here. It is very possible it will work to your style of gameplay but not tested.
Luke 24 Aug, 2024 @ 11:03pm
Couple questions I had:

1. Can loot spawn in ambulances if you choose one of the mod settings?

2. I saw a positive test in one of the zombies that I looted, and in blue text it said "mod: CDC Rapid Response" or something like that; I was just wondering, is it possible to get rid of this blue text? It seems unnecessary and it's somewhat immersion breaking
Patriote 13 Jun, 2024 @ 9:40am
Greatest mod ever
Deon ☣ 28 May, 2024 @ 8:20am
This is my favourite mod with Hardcore settings. Everything seems super well designed and also it does not make biting non-lethal.
I win these. 19 May, 2024 @ 4:26pm
Also yes, tosh1ro, it cures infection from the susceptible mod!
I win these. 19 May, 2024 @ 4:23pm
What are the side effects for Globunex? I'm having auditory hallucinations and I'm shitting myself rn
Closet Pankin 26 Mar, 2024 @ 7:15pm
Awesome mod, love it! What are the odds of having the infection become dormant?
gab1 26 Mar, 2024 @ 11:02am
Is it working with susceptible?
Phil J Herman  [author] 21 Mar, 2024 @ 5:34pm
@Archadies Leafwalker It should work with They Knew. Antibodies did not play nice however and other mods that have long term effects related to becoming a zombie might also have problems.
Archadies Leafwalker 11 Mar, 2024 @ 5:45am
@Phil J Herman Hey, question, does this work at all with They Knew?
Phil J Herman  [author] 10 Nov, 2023 @ 10:16am
@uncleseano With this mod only, no. But if you use one of the settings mods, in that case, yes.
Phil J Herman  [author] 10 Nov, 2023 @ 10:15am
@ХУЛИГАНСТВО The next version has something like this for tests - with a focus on multi-component tests so that it is possible to be missing parts you need or that make the tests more accurate. I do like the idea of making the tests even more complex or even making it so they start to expire and become less accurate after 1 year.
uncleseano 9 Nov, 2023 @ 11:20pm
Does Luck affect finding these items?
Tupoy 9 Oct, 2023 @ 12:40pm
I would recommend replacing the premium tests with clinic/hospital grade test kits that use blood (it would be neat) or a multi-use swab kit.
Phil J Herman  [author] 2 Sep, 2023 @ 12:25pm
@Fence that mod should not be incompatible. Fake infections can cause that, but a good test will remove the fake infection. It could be also that you have some other sickness like from a food source or something like that.
theirf scoot lava block 2 Sep, 2023 @ 11:53am
@Phil J Herman
I use one other mod called "They Knew" were a zombie has a 1/500 chance of spawning with a cure that gets rid of the infection and sickness completely, and ive had your mod and their mod downloaded for a while and havent had issues.
Phil J Herman  [author] 1 Sep, 2023 @ 10:09pm
@Fence The tests won't lie but some can be inconclusive sometimes. It could be that you are sick for another reason, or maybe a bug, do you use any other mods that may affect the infection?
theirf scoot lava block 1 Sep, 2023 @ 9:26pm
Do the test ever lie?
I got bit 3 times and scratched and every test I've taken so far have come back negative (15+ tests) and yet my character is still sick.
moonracer 28 Aug, 2023 @ 9:23am
I'm very impressed how well thought out this is. Great work!
Phil J Herman  [author] 24 Aug, 2023 @ 12:44pm
@professional war crimer debil - You can cure it like any regular virus. However, you may want to keep it awhile because it prevents you from contracting a new virus, dormant viruses have a longer life. So if you have one, you can get bit again, and not get reinfected. So it essentially gives you temporary immunity.
c17i2 24 Aug, 2023 @ 6:13am
what do i do if i have a dormant virus?
Haru Uchida 12 Aug, 2023 @ 5:04am
Nevermind i'm dumb. Anyway, thanks for the info!
Haru Uchida 12 Aug, 2023 @ 5:03am
Which settings mod are u talking about?
Phil J Herman  [author] 11 Aug, 2023 @ 11:11am
@Ayame Antidotes spawn in a variety of places. If you are not using a settings mod in addition to this one, then spawns will only be on zombies that are killed. You should see lower quality antidotes on regular civilians, but especially on first responders. Doctors, nurses those sorts. With the settings mods you should find those in containers, such as hospitals pharmacies and bathrooms.
Haru Uchida 11 Aug, 2023 @ 4:29am
Where can i find the antidotes? Been searching in medical places but to no avail

@MPWhitlow Nice! One of my favorite things about PZ is the attention to detail of all the different systems being intertwined but separated perfectly - and it is one of the parts of the game that inspired me to make the mod. I love the idea of someone curing the virus but still being at risk from the wounds - it makes a lot of sense I think and the cool part is that this is just a reflection of good design in the PZ systems that are under the hood. Glad to hear you lived! Also, glad to hear it was the nervous and scary ride us PZ players tend to love for some reason haha. Good luck!
MPWhitlow 9 May, 2023 @ 9:41am
@PhilJHerman Just wanted to update you, IT DID HEAL. Took roughly a week or two in game but it did indeed go away along with the other negative side effects!!
Phil J Herman  [author] 8 May, 2023 @ 5:54pm
@Devious You may see issues with More Traits but it will be dependent on specific traits I think. Likely what you will see is that using cures or taking medications with specific traits could cause the effects or side effects to act strangely. It probably would be a bit unpredictable but not game breaking. Even with the vanilla traits, there are combinations of conditions where some of these medications or cures will kill you or cause strange conditions, this is by design. So some of the issues you see might fit the lore, depends on you and your players - but you will not see crashes or red errors or anything like that. - If you do test out CDC and you do not like it or there are unacceptable/unforeseen compatibility issues, it is very lightweight, you can pull it from an active game/server without issue. Good luck!
Phil J Herman  [author] 8 May, 2023 @ 5:24pm
@MpWhitlow Spag nailed it, the bite or any other wound will remain and only the virus itself will be cured. The pain and any other side effects related to your bite will also not be cured. You can firm that you were cured with a viral test. - @SPAG Thank you for jumping in to help! And thank you for using the mod!
Devious 8 May, 2023 @ 3:02pm
This mod looks awesome, though I am wondering what it’s compatible with? I have a fairly decent mod list, though nothing too crazy. The biggest one I’m wondering about is More Traits with its virus related traits like super immune and indefatigable? Most of my mod list are car mods, map mods, and content mods like authentic z, brita’s, and sapph’s cooking.
SPAG 8 May, 2023 @ 7:51am
@MPWhitlow After curing, the bite will function as a wound. Make sure to suture it if you can, and if not, keep the wound clean and bandaged.
