I've updated the mod to the latests DBs, uh but I was having a hard time testing everything.

Currently CA has broke Nakai. :steamsad:

He is missing a lot of units that he normally got via buildings. Like Kroxigors, Temple Guards, and some other unique. I suspect this also broke this mod because the defenders hire the same units Nakai is missing, via the same way? I'll take another look when a patch is released.

I heard in august they might come out with a patch? I'll see if any issues come from that as well.

they do not do much anymore for some rreason, most of the time they wont make a lord at all, think it needs a update

2º I have eliminated all the duplications since they were not necessary because their buildings only have 1 level.
3º I have added the recruitment to minor settlements since before they could not recruit if they only had a minor settlement in the region.

@Lex_The_Great Hello, first of all I really like your mod, I had already used it in TWW2, I have solved the problem with the skavens, I have also made some changes to the mod due to certain circumstances:
1º The recruitment was too strong in the early stages of the game since it does not have a limitation of buildings or anything like that, so I have limited the recruitment to simpler units and I have added some that were missing. At first I only wanted to leave them to recruit their garrison units but in the end I opened my hand a bit and added a few more.

They're certainly active... but they make way too many units and dont account for their treasury. Now they just run around with armies at 10% health because all their units keep disbanding from having zero money

Yea I've spent some time looking at the skaven issue with no success at all. I'm at a loss on what's causing it.

If I may ask, perhaps a sub-mod or variant which allows the Defenders to create armies but does not allow occupation or attack-type goals (merely defensive ones) would be nice?

I love this mod and Nakai but my usual co-op partner considers it far too OP if the defenders can suddenly attack folks due to them already having above-average garrisons...

If you would consider making such a spin-off mod I'd be very grateful! Either way, thanks for listening.

@Slunko, Pt2,

This mod adds two entries to the table 'campaign_group_members_tables'
Adding defenders of the great plan to the group 'wh2_main_sc_lzd_lizardmen_occupation_decision_colonise' and 'wh2_main_sc_lzd_lizardmen_occupation_decision_occupy' so that they may colonize and occupy as lizardmen normally do. The defenders are also added into the 'wh2_main_fact_group_lizardmen' so that they may do lizardmen stuff

So I'm a little confused here, nothing skaven, or any other faction/group other than 'wh2_dlc13_lzd_defenders_of_the_great_plan' and 'wh2_main_fact_group_lizardmen' is touched....

I'm thinking this is an issue with the game it self bugging out to the defenders being able to do normal lizardmen stuff, I'll keep looking for a remedy...

@Slunko I've triple checked, this mod does cause the option to settle without looting appear for skaven. Although, this mod doesn't actually touch anything with skaven I'm unable to figure out why adding occupy options to the defenders causes this.. I've looked around in the tables and it seems the game already has this option for the skaven built in, its just hidden by default by something that is breaking. A script maybe? I couldn't find the script by looking at file names..

I'm split between just letting it balance it self out, and giving the ai upkeep reduction. Might wait for some more input, I have to find some time to look into the skaven issue Slunko found first tho

@nylan doing some math i worked out the following you begin with taking 20% of the vassal's income, the first upgrade does not increase this to 40% but instead increases it to 23% but i do agree with giving the vassal more upkeep reduction.

This mod for some reason borks the image for the capturing settlements as Skaven. It gives another option where you can settle without looting and that one doesn't have an image. Figured I'd mention it. Took me a while to figure out which mod was causing it.

Great mod otherwise.

How about as the player gains more of their income match that with an upkeep reduction for the vassal armies? Start off with tech giving the player 20% income, they get 20% reduced upkeep. Perhaps limiting the number of armies they get would be a better solution? We get a rite to spawn a free army for them, have the cap set at that plus 1 every time. Sorta like the tomb kings.

Oh great idea, it has become hard to keep my lands if the AI has little defence! Even if I am taking more of their money with research , it will be good that they have at least some moves.

Now that I know what causes the issue I feel like it's good balancing honestly. It's either your vassal has more armies or you take the money for yourself and you have more. If the vassal had free armies it would be OP imo. Maybe just make a disclaimer in the mod description that the increased vassal tribute will make them lose money that they are paying for army upkeep

@Sog You know, that is probably it. I forgot about that, you end up taking a lot percentage in money in tribute. The issue is Nakai kinda needs it to keep going late game as income.. If anyone has any ideas other than removing tribute increase I'm all ears, not sure how to remedy that. Maybe make the armies cost nothing for them?

I too have desertion attributes on their armies. Maybe it's because of the upgrade where we get bonus from vassal tribute?

@Lex_The_Great I can't remember exactly when it happened. Somewhat close to the start of the game I was still in Cathay lands. I just played through it though and all their armies died from attrition. After that happened they built more and they were fine and I haven't seen any issues since

@l o w b o y e, I think desertion happens to armies when you don't have enough money to upkeep, so I guess they ran out of money? I'm not sure never happened to me, normally they have max money they never spend it on anything. I'd look to see if you have any mods that change how AI manages their armies/upkeep costs for ai. If not I'll look into it, how many turns in did it start happening?

So i checked the building icon and they have all the units available to recruit. I have not yet seen any armies recruited but i only played a few turns with the mod active. I will keep you updated if i notice anything weird or missing
