@Bannor nothing except this is quicker and can be transferred between independent ships. Lets say you build a ship, die and respawn on another planet but want to use the same light settings. Do you want to have to make new groups or just select the lights, then hit apply?

For me this is already saving a TON of time.

@kinngrimm: not at all, its goal is to help you setup profiles for lights (navigation lights for your ships for example). If your goal is to change color of lights following an event the Event Controller can manage, you'd better use a script like Easy Automation V2.0 . Hope this helps.

What's the difference between this, and just creating a group of lights, and changing settings on the group?

Awesome mode, any idea how i can use it through script with programming block, and change profiles by ingame script? I can write this script, but is here any api?

This thing is a real time saver. Wonder if you would be able to do something similar for LCD screens. Just the Color and Background color settings. None of the other stuff. I've had to memorize my favorite lcd amber setting almost like a phone number 200 140 0 - 0 0 10 lol

So far all your work has been a must have in my worlds. Keep expanding my mod list man!

Loading from a profile seems to set falloff to 0, haven't figured out the conditions of this behavior, but it's doing that most of the time...

What a life saver. I tend to make a lot of ships that use the same presets (and they're large so there's a lot of lights), so this will save a lot of time.

@Meridius_IX / Lucas. You are right and I have your Easy Block Renaming tool - and that works great when I have a bunch I am setting up, but if I add lights one after the other it would make it easier to have the suffix added based on the profile, otherwise I need to retype the profile name every time i add one.

@Plazmalord - An example of how this mod works: Let's say you've setup lights on Ship A, and you like the particular settings you've applied to the exterior of the ship (color, intensity, etc) and you want to apply those to ship B. All you have to do is select one of the lights on ship A, save it to a profile, then select all the lights on ship B you want to set the same, and apply the profile. It saves you time messing with a bunch of sliders.

For the handful of people asking about a plugin, I don't design plugins for Space Engineers, so there wouldn't be any plans for this.

cant u do this already in game by selecting the light blocks and adjusting the attributes for those blocks and saving them to a group?

@supersquid - unlikely to be supported in build vision since they implement their own custom control interface.

@CTH2004 - After you apply a profile, it changes the individual block settings. So those will persist if the ship is blueprinted.

@High Templar - Check out my Easy Block Renaming mod. While you have the blocks selected, you can add a prefix name to them that way.

Great tool! Saves me a lot of slider-fu. Only wished it would also give me the option to add the profile name as a suffix to the light name so I can search them all and group.

Fantastic! Would love to see one for LCD settings, too! Those SciFi Button Panels are awesome, but such a pain to set up.
