For the record, if you copy/paste the vpk into a custom folder in blue shift, it replaces the .357 boxes but not the shotgun boxes. If only one could work I'm glad its the .357 since the shotgun box already looks close to vanilla.

I want this mod but I also like my classic gun nut magnum box mod as well. Anyways, according to half life s lore the HECU marines where actually created for the facility itself after the staff was killed on xen. So that kind of makes sense for them to use same amunition box-right?

It's implied in HL1 one that that they're using the HECUs' supplies, and those in turn would also be made on site.
Not sure they'd come in neat little color-coded boxes, but it makes it easier when you're playing.

I like how this implies that black mesa manufactures their own ammunition for their security rather than just purchasing it
