is it compatible with dei 229 paced campaign
DoktorFar 2 Aug, 2024 @ 2:19am
In regards to SSDhillon concerns about client states, how can we make sure we aren't unintentionally abusing this? I like to make client states out of other factions, but only if it is a legit possibility. Usually that is when they have only one city left, but I think I recall a few times where I could a small faction to client state by giving them gold. But it sound like this mod will make it hard to distinguish between the reason they would accept, that maybe the with this mod they would just accept because they had become the "peaceful personality"?
DoktorFar 2 Aug, 2024 @ 2:14am
@K4mil After reading your description on the partial solution to indian ocean bug, I thought about maybe another or additional solution could be to give those factions in question a significant reduction in ship upkeep costs? Such that the navies they do pointlessly build there will not hamper their economy?
SirAlbertCamus 24 Mar, 2024 @ 1:46pm
@K4mil ah okay I understand that, thanks for explaining and thanks for the swift response! Love the mod by the way, nice work. :praisesun:

@Aurelian (Restitutor Orbis) - any mod which use scripts is incompatible with this mod. This is how script modding works in this game, i.e. you have to add each script file to the list which could be found in scripting.lua. This means that if you want to play with two separate mods which use scripts, you always have to make "compatibility patch" (in practice by coping a few lines of text from one scripting.lua mod's file to another scripting.lua mod's file and giving it priority when loading).
SirAlbertCamus 24 Mar, 2024 @ 8:00am
Does this conflict with CENM's AI autoresolve? I know they both use scripts, however I've been using both with this above it in the launcher, but I have seen a few diplomatic anomalies that make me wonder.
[1erArt] Doguereau 18 Mar, 2024 @ 7:45am
i dont rlly see a difference, after whiping 3 armies and took one of their city they stil dont want to peace out after being reduced to a single city and yet they can recruit 2 full stack in a couple turns
SSDhillon 14 Feb, 2024 @ 9:43am
could you modify this behaviour to only single city factions bordering you or some other alternative, cause your mod is actually a brilliant idea nicely executed, despite the old engine not allowing much to begin with
K4mil  [author] 11 Feb, 2024 @ 11:59am
@SSDhillon - if this is the case, then unfortunately is a side effect of the personality change and I cannot do antything in that regard without simultaneously making vassalizing impossible in any other circumstances. So, the only solution is not to abuse this unintented possibility by the player.
SSDhillon 11 Feb, 2024 @ 10:13am
@K4mil
No, When I send my spy to scout out the world map, I basically see much larger factions or sinfle city factions all across the map-which are willing to be client stated without anything in exchange. I am the one who initiates the diplomacy, just to check what they want & after conquering italy & discovering whole of the world map-half of them have no issues being client stated if I offer it to them
Totanakur 9 Feb, 2024 @ 5:33pm
Incredible Mod mate, I hope you keep this and your other mods up to date with DEI for as long as possible. These combined with cultural tensio, KAMs public order mod and a few others make DEI even more enjoyable. Many thanks for the work. (Only thing would be a potential patch for the trade region mod, given it is a script)
K4mil  [author] 4 Feb, 2024 @ 9:12am
@SSDhillon - are you talking about offers from the AI or possibility to vassalage factions which are losing the war? Also, this offers are coming from your enemies or neutra/friendly factions?
SSDhillon 4 Feb, 2024 @ 8:25am
eh, already in early-mid game, a lot of big factions with multiple sttlements far away across the map are becoming my client states, can you limit this feature only to single entity factions or factions bordering you or the ones you are at war with, cause otherwise, half the map wants to be my clinet state-including 4-5 state factions and a lot of single city factions across the map
K4mil  [author] 17 Jan, 2024 @ 12:13pm
@AFrican_Clown Thanks for reporting. Now it shoud be fine.
AFrican_Clown 17 Jan, 2024 @ 11:27am
There seems to be a conflict between this mod and the new Mauryan government actions feature. When this mod is enabled, the government actions are all unusable and grey-ed out
Totanakur 18 Dec, 2023 @ 1:28pm
Any chance this and the politics mod could be made compatible with tembres trade regions?
K4mil  [author] 7 Oct, 2023 @ 10:13am
@Frosted Flake - by changing its personalities, which are set to more aggresive in DEI, to make AI less passive.
@[S.P.Q.R.] Kefkaius - no idea.
[S.P.Q.R.] Kefkaius 30 Sep, 2023 @ 10:24am
Multiplayer friendly?
Kreg 30 Sep, 2023 @ 9:44am
It's an awesome concept, I look forward to use it for my campaign.
Yo Gabba Gabba! 7 Aug, 2023 @ 9:08pm
Great concept. Is there a way to make the AI generally more peaceful?
K4mil  [author] 16 Jul, 2023 @ 5:16am
@Leondas - no, it does not. You probably have some other conflicts. This mod is almost fully script mod and has nothing to do with any models.
Leondas 16 Jul, 2023 @ 3:47am
it need an update it effects the models of the game!
argo76 15 Jul, 2023 @ 1:00pm
this mod works great for me ty for making it bro
K4mil  [author] 15 Jul, 2023 @ 11:56am
@Aurelian (Restitutor Orbis) @DoktorFar Should work fine.
DoktorFar 9 Jul, 2023 @ 12:04pm
Reading the description you just made me understand that issue with indian ocean navy bug, It had me raise my eye brows in my Maryuja playthrough as both Ptolemaio and Seleucids just had perpetual large navies sitting out in the middle of the ocean forever for no purpose; their fleets didn't even attack each other even though they were at war.

Also as other asked, would it work for current DEI version?
SirAlbertCamus 27 Jun, 2023 @ 4:03am
Whats the status on this working for DEI 1.3.2?
The Grimwar 28 Dec, 2022 @ 12:40pm
This mod is awesome, however, I have one request: May you please make it in the calculations so that AI Rome being at war counts as ten factions for the people they're fighting when it comes to forming treaties with factions that are at war with them simply due to the fact that they're ROME and spread across the whole map?

I'd simply like to client Epirus without conquering them as Makedon.

Not without testing, of course.
Sanakan 9 Nov, 2022 @ 1:14pm
Oh I see K4mil, thanks. I don't think I'm good at modding .lua files to be of any help...
K4mil  [author] 9 Nov, 2022 @ 12:28pm
@Sanakan - no. It requires to rewrite some parts of the script to make it work for vanilla. I could prepare it, but I would need someone who will make the most simple but also the most tedious work regarding it.
Sanakan 9 Nov, 2022 @ 12:18pm
Sorry for the dumb question, but does the mod works for vanilla K4mil?
K4mil  [author] 5 Nov, 2022 @ 12:33pm
@Darknight36 - the personality change condtions are checked every turn and because the fact that at some point it is random, it is possible that change didn't occure at that given turn. You can easliy verify that by looking at diplomacy panel and checking if other faction "personality" is "cautios" (green) and not "agressive" (red).
I didn't change anything regarding to willinges to declaring war, so it has to be only your impression (in fact, on the contrary - factions with changed personality are less eager to start wars).
Darknight36 5 Nov, 2022 @ 3:05am
I have once destroyed all of the factions armies and navies and besieging their last settlement, yet the peace is still on low. Also been getting more war being declared than usual, might just be a outlier circumstance. Might as well let you know.
SSDhillon 30 Oct, 2022 @ 9:38am
No problemo, this is already one of my favourite mods ! Thanks :p
K4mil  [author] 30 Oct, 2022 @ 2:54am
@SSDhillon - unfortunately using it with any other campaign requires changes in the script.
SSDhillon 29 Oct, 2022 @ 4:01pm
Can this also mod work in imperator augustus campaign with DEI installed ?
Dupz 24 Oct, 2022 @ 5:48am
That sounds good. It´s more realistic than a mod that would always force the Ai to make peace. I´ll give it a try as soon as I have some spare time. If it works the way I think it will, you´ll be a hero for me, man. Thanks a lot
K4mil  [author] 23 Oct, 2022 @ 2:27am
@Dupz - it should help with that, when both factions has peace seeking personality or stronger faction has peace seeking personality (because lost it armies at war with someone else). However, if AI has strong army and is winning the war, it won't be interested to make peace with faction which is losing. To sum it up - mod should also increase the chance to peace treaties between AI factions but effect will be limited.
Dupz 22 Oct, 2022 @ 2:40pm
I have more than 2.300h in this game and the only reason I stoped playing it was because I notice that every single Ai x Ai war was a total conquest war. It only ends when one Ai completely conquers or subjugate the other Ai. They never could settle down and just make peace at some point, before subjugating or totally conquering each other. It´s very irrealistic and when I noticed that it totally broke the immersion for me.

Does your mod change this kind of behave and make the Ai finally capable of making peace with each other?

If so, this would be a game changing for me, and I definitely will give it another try, since I like a more slowly paced campaing.
pug46YT 12 Oct, 2022 @ 2:44pm
If you're Rome you can just simply crush them
K4mil  [author] 7 Oct, 2022 @ 9:18am
@lequintal - yes, when the stance of the faction in the diplomatic screen is changed from aggresive (red) to cautios (green) it means that seeking peace personality was appiled.
lequintal 6 Oct, 2022 @ 11:38am
Is the peace seeking personality supposed to show up on the diplomacy screen? just to notice when it happens
K4mil  [author] 4 Oct, 2022 @ 3:12pm
@Paidas Demetriou - this not requires writing a script and can be done by simply editing db tables. I'll think about that in regard of my overhaul diplomacy submod for DeI (this submod is only part of it) which maybe I'll publish in the near future.
Paidas Demetriou 1 Oct, 2022 @ 5:56am
It is a mod i needed, can u make client states more loyal?
