NVM Fixed it:
I had to delete the mod in my Workshop folder & Resub.
Now it works fine.

Hi, i switched from Radius to SFO.
Now the mod doesent work , is this maybe a load order Problem?.
Can anyone help me?

I guess in thunderbarge mod Makalai got some skill affecting Gotrek hero (as they are lore related). Good to know.

@Meuhoua Also found out the reason the Thunderbarge mod broke this one was because of not using the Ye Olde Skool Gotrek and Felix! submod for that mod. So now everything's fine.
Except for one thing that is unrelated to any of those mods...but that's a completely different problem.

@Meuhoua Found it. For some bizarre reason the Thunderbarge mod broke the mod. Turned it off and now it works fine. Which is strange because it didn't do so earlier.
Maybe lacking in a sub-mod. Darn...

@Meuhoua Still not working. Maybe new patch broke something because they again can't join armies or use map skills.
Either it's because of the patch or something else is mucking here. I better check other characters and then launch with mods that theorethically shouldn't affect it.

Bug finally localised and fixed.
The cause was... 2 skills was sharing the same position on the grid of skill page, wasnt a problem before but i guess 4.0 is more sensitive to this.

Yup, Chapter Serf mod works good and i dont see which db could cause the issue, in my submod those skills are not edited so my changes should refer to vanilla or Ye Olde Skool things.
I guess i miss something but i dont see where ; i posted a ticket in the modders discord if someone could hint me, wait and see.

Honestly before the 4.0. update both mods worked perfectly. Chapter Serf says that everything works fine with him. Either your mod has something weird happening then...or there is something else that is mukkin the experience.

Really strange bug, when i compare with Ye Olde Skool mod which heroes skills are working good, i dont see anything different. Investigating...

Something odd happened with this mod.
Yesterday these two didn't have any skills, didn't have their base trait and couldn't join an army or do hero actions.
Now it's only the last two of those only. Either something is wrong with this mod, or with the Ye Olde Skool base mod. Dunno honestly. Too tired to think straight.

@Serj Targarien Thx for the fix ; i really dont know why now this create a crash when wasnt the case before, but that also permit me to fix the disappearance of the skill giving the Felix ancilliary.

Fixed it on my end by adding the missing wh2_main_skill_node_dwf_Gotrek_Felix_special_05 to character_skill_nodes_tables in the db. Don't know if it's the right fix but should work while the author updates.

Updated for 4.0 db table standard - but need to wait the update of the parent mod (Ye Olde Skool Gotrek and Felix!) to check if the mod still works or need more corrections.

For base health the value is in my "part" of the mods (in land unit db), for weapon strengh i dont think i changed something so the value should be in "Ye Olde Skool Gotrek and Felix!" mod.

About skill, in my screenshot, you have one at lvl 50 there you could check some skills the character got during progression, but should be more handy to check ingame using the console mod and "add xp" command.

So many ceptions, this seems like a Tzeentch machination. Anyway, I guess I only need to increase the base health and the weapon strength, assign heroic fortitude, deathblown, and Gotrek's Doom... by the way, these two are not supposed to be unbreakable?

I dont use SFO so i dont know if that necessary but i guess it should need some rebalance to fit with (note, the mod which is submodded by mine - i tweak some stats and the skilltree - already got a SFO submod, so you could use it as base to submod this one - what a submodception).

This is a very good idea. And even if I didn't read all the novels yet... yeah, Gotrek does seem like the type who will not work alongside elves (no one trusts a elgi!). I guess this mod is compatible with SFO, it's only a matter of adjusting the stats? I am thinking about making SFO sub-mods myself

Yup, that can seems strange as a 2 unit hero, but as they are aviable really early ingame, i didnt want for them to be a "2 men army" when they are just recruited.

I see. Still, it feels jarringly off when 2 legendary heroes total the HP of a regular Joe, I mean Thane ;)

My take on this is to make them start as some kind of "regular hero" but going more and more powerfull as you level up (about survivability, if the HP pool will not be insane, but they can get up to 25% Ward Save, some magic/fire/physical resistances, HP regen and multiple "resurrect" charge, and that with more than 500 weapon strengh per unit and lots of skills).
I must admit I didnt played a lot with at max level to make serious tests, but i guess they should be a little imbalanced. ^^

Okay, I spawned them fine as Cathay, but I also found your approach a bit mystifying, however. For instance, Gotrek/Felix has essentially the same HP as a Dwarf Thane - even though they are apparently a combination of two characters! Why is that? Or is Felix supposed to be purely cosmetic, and this is really a Gotrek mod?

THe original mod dont use the same method to spawn the hero, he use the hero recruitement system so that dont works for Cathay and Kislev as they dont have "champion" tab to recruit it ; in my mod, i use the vanilla system with a spawn by script so there's not the issue.

But I thought the original mod creator said he can't get Cathay or Kislev to spawn, because Gotrek is a "Champion" type, and Cathay and Kislev do not have access to a Champion type.

I guess you mean MCT to chose faction aviabilities ?
You dont need it, it follow the vanilla aviabilities if you dont use MCT (so human factions -Breto, Empire, TEB, Cathay, Kislev- and dwarves)

@Lampros well, thats not the purpose of this mod which is to rework the vanilla mechanic, but you can use "Ye Olde Skool Gotrek and Felix!" alone : the hero is the same (nearly the same skill tree but a different balance) and recruitable forever.
But if you really want use my version and able to use RPFM, you can open the script and change the owning time value (to 999 for exemple), thats in the 1st line.

@tankdasso they already can join factions opened by Mixu, the feature works when a "culture" make specific "building", so if you play with a faction of the culture "empire", it just need to have a right building to spawn the marker. So all vanilla faction played with unlocker can have access to the feature, until you use a mod changing the culture of a faction or its building chain (removing the tavern to empire for exemple).

If you want infinite time, you just have to change the number in the top of the script file ; set "999" into the first line and you will get a number of turn larger than an usual game.

So I like the ideas you have here, but I'd still like Gotrek/Felix to be permanent. Would you consider a submod/alternate version with that in mind? Or if it's simple to change on our own, all I need to know is which file I need to look at. Thank you either way for your hard work.

For now only for vanilla factions (Empire, Dwarf, Breto, Kislev, Cathay and TEB), i hope to add a MCT compatibility to allow any faction and let the player chose.

Are they only available to factions that get them on the base game? Because Chapter Serf's mod makes them available for more factions.
