What do you mean by "(or car with a mod that enables that)." @UdderlyEvelyn in the mod description. Is there a mod that enabled the respawn when you salvage a vehicle?

This disables the respawn unless dismantled, right?

I'am standing in the middle of huge parking zone.
The command /scattervehicles gives this result in game console: "Could not spawn vehicle at because the selected square had no chunk, adding to backlog for later."

Yeah when the stable build of the game updates I will update, mod is not dead and should continue to work for b41.

The last update to Stable was in Dec-22 so if nothing has changed to the game then the mod should continue working as standard. Worked for my server this time last year and no changes since. If this isn't working it's probably a mod conflict?

can confirm, this mod is not working at all.
using it since weeks and whenever a cars is moved,removed,salvaged , the log reads "Could not spawn vehicle ... because the selected square had no chunk, adding to backlog for later.
later just never happens, no vehicle ever spawned.
waste of time

looking further into the mod, the most important option seems to be missing entirely?

I believe it worked on my server back in 41, had no issues but our server was smaller so maybe some edge cases slip through with more players?

Doesn't work, it despawn cars infront of you. Thank god I had a backup because my game has been ruined (it removed every vehicle in my city)

does this still work? I wish to add this to a server I have because I purged some vehicle mods recently and that caused some already existing vehicles in the map to break.

I want to add this to the game but I don't want any of my currently working vehicles to despawn as the other comments have said...

This was crashing our map whenever we entered riverside. Made it unplayable sadly. I have a lot of mods though, but I just thought I would share my experience. I thought a modded map was crashing the server but it turns out it was this, and maybe its because I have so many modded maps.

Yeah... Can confirm. Tried it, set the time to 0.01 and watched some Youtube. Came back, drove around, no new spawns anywhere, and it deleted my cars at base. So it does... *Something*, I guess.

So since my last post below I'm still on the same save and settings but vehicle despawning has somehow turned back on in the sandbox settings after having been off ever since my last post. All day I've been going on trips around the map and I come across vehicles in the road and I stop to get them out of my way and they disappear right in front of me when I exit my vehicle. Finally it despawned my semi trailer that was claimed by AVCS and I lost nearly 1500 weight worth of gear before I remembered this mod was a thing and went to check the settings. It defaulted back to 6 hours which apparently means vehicles despawn immediately if unclaimed and after 6 hours of irl time if claimed. Mod is broken and dead uninstalling to save my future loot and vehicles.

I feel like the blacklist is working for the dismantle > respawn but is NOT working for the /scattervehicles command. I keep having random cars that are on my list appearing after using that command.

@Chimni if you teleport to that location it will spawn a car. The log is kept and will only trigger when a player enters a range of that phantom car location.

Is the mod working for this and respawning them later on? I havent seen one spawn go through when salvaging yet.

Just had my car disappear with all my gear in it. I walked right past it to go into a building to sleep when I woke up it was gone. Config description says IRL hours I currently have it set to 6 on a SP save. Not sure if it tracks time offline or not somehow but regardless I was close to my car within several minutes of it despawning. On a somewhat related note even with the timer maxed out I have regularly had issues where entire parking lots full of cars vanish in just a few in game days or IRL hours. Going to try turning off the despawns now to prevent this from happening but a shame it doesn't seem to be working as intended I'd love to have cars that haven't been interacted with in long periods of time respawn.

This part seems to be false. I was literally running towards my vehicle as I watched it disappear. Looking at the logs, this mod definitely triggered and removed a few vehicles, one of which was the RV I was living out of for this run. I've never ventured move than a street away from my car for more than an ingame day at a time, as I sleep in this RV nightly this run.

Without a way to mark/claim your car, this feature seems dangerous to leave enabled.
No clue if the "valhalla aegis" mod still works, as it seems that mod's author has abandoned it. No word if AVCS works with this mod, and it's a little too heavy for my to use in a sp game besides.

should add an option so that vehicles that are inside a safehouse area wont despawn even if they arent seen. would be pretty good for those people that have maxed claimed vehicles or leave their safehouses for days on end so that theres no chance of their unclaimed vehicles despawning

The parts integrity of the reborn vehicles is too high, and the original settings will not be applied. As a result, every reborn vehicle will look like new. Apart from this, there are no major problems. They run well, but there is a chance of overlapping vehicles.

Sorry to bother you but I don't seem to see a way to disable the "respawn after x hours" system entirely if this is possible please let me know. Thanks; I just want scrapped cars to respawn; I don't want cars to despawn if players take a week off in a private server but it looks like 168 hours is the max

Mod works fine - people who have issues have misconfigured it or misunderstand how it works or both. I don't reply on Steam much, am too busy to do so.

Just to be clear on how this works.
Setting the "Untouched Vehicle Lifespan" to 0 prevents cars from Despawning, but still lets new cars respawn on dismantles and such?

up to this point, two days ago I deleted all the machines from vehikles.db because they were of the wrong composition.
Now I installed this mod to make new cars spawn, but it doesn’t help - I spawned the cars in one place with the help of admin forces, turned on the mod: 1 hour wait, 1 chunk.
I teleported very far away, waited more than 1 hour - I teleported back - the cars were standing in the same places.
How do I fix the damn car spawn???

Hey @UdderlyEvelyn, this mod is working fine for me, though I haven't checked if my blacklist is working or not. What I would like to ask about is you having an updated Tread's fuel type, sans sound glitch. I was wondering if you'd still be willing to upload it to the workshop?
