Still working now? I knew you've made other mods that I'm using but I somehow completely missed how you've made so many other good mods

Is there a chance you could make a mod where instead of Bayonets the Handgunners just hold the guns by the barrel and use the butts to club enemies to the ground, giving them either greatsword or peasantmob animations?

is there a way to make a mod to replace the musket models vanilla and modded units use without having to edit both the vanilla and mods themselves was wanting to swap the muskets to a brown bess for the visual appeal

Hey Snek, know you are busy and have to balance your time, but any more word on this, and the idea of the Ironsides with bayonets? Tbh I kind of wish you could just straight port your ironside guard as a replacement, for anyone who is not currently using GotE, as I think it still looks most like some of the artwork of them, and looks most like a kind of super-industrial standardized munitions plate that'd make sense for Nuln.

I'll probably do bayonet Ironsides as a stand alone to minimize conflicts.i like that idea but want to keep this as a clean modder resource.

For some unknown reason, this makes handgunners etc. keep reloading in loops without shooting. :steamsad:

I would love to see Matched Animations fully updated, but I've had to give up too much sleep just getting my own collection updated. If they're having trouble updating, it may mean there was more wrong than just the re-indexing issue.

@TMSaber is it an issue where the musket is constantly floating in a certain spot out of their hands or is it the musket jumping out of their hands during certain animations?

My plan going forward, once we are all caught up, is for me to use what I’ve learned and create “Bayonet Patches”, adding the bayonet animations and stats to similar units in other mods like Guns of Bretonnia, Pirates of Sartosa Overhaul, and so on. Mostly mods I noticed where their hand gunners animations are a bit wonky when used with this mod.

I FINALLY DID IT! Got the basic bayoneted Handgunners firing correctly and using proper pokey animations in melee.

@Snek, I'm not at all experienced with modding or the workshop but I can pass along my working version to ya somehow if you like. I did the painstaking work of lining up the all the animation ids to line up with the new ones. I assume you use a similar bayonet rifle animation file for Guns of the Empire yeah? I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow and see if I can get it working too!

I followed a tutorial on how to update mods and I've got everything working (bayoneted rifle, spearmen melee stats, etc.) save for the actual firing, the handgunners proceed to hold their guns to aim but never proceed to open fire. If anyone discovers the key to the firing error, let us know.

No update planned for the animations here. Life circumstances mean my Warhammer modding time is done, probably permanently. I am very sorry for that. Assistance from other modders to get animations updated would be welcome.

@snek: Could you make a mod that has handgunner can you bayonet as secondary weapon (trait: decent melee) ? still now, nobody really do that, I think because of the mod Guns of the empire, but if you can, please, do it :D

In Asset Editor, there is an option to copy pivot points from one model to all others in your kitbash. Do that first, then position the model to match.
