Are you still open to modding requests? I would like a mod which allows for historical friends and rivals to be set through diplomatic actions, similar to this mod:

Also, I just looked at your code, it's a modifier based, correct? Why don't you give the modifier to the nation you're influencing? That way other nations would be blocked from influencing them, or need more flavors to influence them? I would code it myself, but I'm not that good at coding yet.

I like this, but can you remove global cooldown? It makes sense for individual countries to have a cooldown, but globally? That makes no sense, I'd like it to be limited to nation to nation. or at least make a separate version to remove global cooldown.

@LimonenZitrone I might do an adaption for Anbennar mod and credit you if that's okay.

One option you might consider adding is lowering the target missionary power and increasing yours for a time, e.g. "sharing a priest" if you are the same religion, i think that would be a great addition to this. This could also be used for improved colonisation speed too.

@Tiago Hiro: Some stuff is certainly too strong to cost less than 50, e.g. the guarantee one. Just like the vanilla break alliance one.

I loved it! Can't wait to have more options added. Btw anything that requires more than 20 favors is very likely to not be used. Please balance this so all favor requests are between 10-30 max favors.

i have read what u said about the ask for a general in exchange of 10 AT of the target, but may i suggest instead that u (the one asking for a general) pay the 50 mil point required?
I know that may be a bit counterintuitive considering the favor mechanic but maybe lowering a bit the favor cost with that? lets say, u spend 20 favors and 50 mil for a general with their AT or something like that.
Thats probably something to take into account

@Khaos: Yes, but it is a requirement for the action that you are allied. That's what I coded it to require.

not necessary @LimonenZitrone, you know you can ask favor with a diplomat and as long this is not a rival or a unfriendly country, you can earn easly between 0.10 to 0.30 each month depending on your relation and power. so at a cost of 20 you need average 100 month so 8 years and half. maybe just increase to 40 would prevent abusing it without be allies with diplomat fervor (or would take a lot of time doing it)

@Khaos: You need to be allied to a country already to ask them to remove a rival tho. But I can increase the cost a bit.

The problem it is you can manipulate very easly the AI. With low favor cost and your added improve opinion favor, it could be very easly to make giant alliance (like Great power 1,2,3 and 4 all allied together). The rival system is a way to counter balance it mostly for AI as it prevent these kind of alliance. but if your can remove for almost free a rival to Ai and then improve relation very easly. it can be abused very easly and do simple world conquest run with it (as all major threat would be allied to you).

@Khaos: Why? I thought it would be something that isn't that useful most of the time, except for cases where the ally may want to break your alliance due to one of their rivals being allied to you, for example.
@iDefective: I kinda decided against mil power because then it would fall under the same rules of the action that trades power, so they would have to decline if they are low on power, behind in ideas or tech, and could generally offer the option to lower their mil power twice. AP could work, but I feel that would be even more punishing and also DLC locked. I can tweak the AT value to 5 perhaps, but I feel it's a good value to lose there - for once that means people cannot milk them twice for the same quality of generals (speaking of two countries here, not one doing it twice as that has cooldown), and second it kinda makes sense for giving them a general that your AT is lost a bit. I originally wanted it to actually trade a general over, but that isn't possible sadly.

I think the loss of 10 army tradition might be a bit overkill for the request general. They wouldn't lose army tradition for recruiting the general for themselves would they? Maybe have it cost the asked country Military Power or Army Professionalism instead?

Mhm, as for the paying debt one that isn't really possible. Best one could do is give them a large amount of money and hope they pay their debt, there is no effect to pay off loans afaik.

Yes, this is a great and simple mod idea. I also agree with tymonon's idea to allow paying off great power debts. Debt is debt, after all.

@tymonon: It's only every 10 years and a target will only accept one of the mana types at the same time, so it should in theory be fine. But if needed I can change it in the future.

edit: now that i see the favor costs it's kinda cheapish to just drain mana from the target. maybe make it so it gives less mana but doesn't drain it from target? or increase the favor cost.

PS. maybe a micro mod to enable paying off debt of great powers? it's annoying when you play, say, great britain, austria is heavily in the red and won't join your wars, but you have to manually give them ~20k via 'send gift' interaction.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the great mods you have been making. I have several of your mods incorporated into my personal mod. I love your mod contents in general, how balanced they are, and how organized you codes are.
