I'm really interested in using these mods, but now that I've played with RBM, I can't play without it.

A lot of the changes made with your design philosophy would work well with RBM - limiting heavy armour, more grounded weapon layouts and armour diversity.

Is there any chance of a compatch between this and RBM? I'd really love using both on a playthrough.

Hi, could you make these mods fix the prisoners aswell? If I try to recruit lets say a looter and I right click it still shows the old empire troop tree ending in the legionary and the menavliaton.

mszatanek the shiled designs are part of a mod a called "Simple Shield Patterns", last time I checked it wasn't here on steam but could be found on the Nexus. Highly recommend that mod to be used along with mine.

As for your other question, look for the troops.xml in the mod files and you will find it for sure.

can someone tell me where i can find the file that allows me to edit soldier variation and what they spawn with? i just want to give the imperial palentine helm to the imperial soldiers and have them just spawn with decorated chain. love the mod

Just realized that. There was a conflict with RBM that made the unit have a horse which is why I was confused.

It seems like there is a bug in your XML. Imperial Tagmata Recruit is classified as "Infantry" instead of "Cavalry".

Just want to know why my Imperial Tagmata recruit troops don't move when I use F1+F3 (charge) attack to Looter, I just use Europe map mod, RBM and B.A.R.D. series

Not sure if this is even possible, but do you have any plans to add a little more visual variability to your rosters? i.e. mixing up armour and accessories, weapons and shield shapes etc?

@Vendarykismet yeah sorry for not supporting localization other than English. I'll work on it in the near future.
As for the crashes, as noted in the known issues in the mod description, if you remove the mod from an ongoing save it will crash. The way troop modding works, I don't have a way to prevent this, so it's an unfortunate side effect.

Hello, I found an issue. Because I disliked the mix of two different languages due to lack of translation in this mod, I unsubscribed. Then, my game started to crash. I spent two days on finding what the cause is. When I resubscribed your mod, everything worked again.

So the Tagmata being mounted but considered infantry is caused by RBM. Deactivate the units module of RBM should fix the issue.

@Shas'la Dude I have all 6 of the BARD modes on my save. If I try to deactive them, I get a crash when loading my save. :steamsad: Is there any way to clean uninstall BARD mods? Here is the crash report:

@Hodaft that base unit is not from my mod. It is infantry by default yes, but mine does not look like that. The rest seems to be ok though. Are you using another troop overhaul?

@Dovahbadger That's most likely not caused by this mod. I haven't edited any experience curves, so the amount of time it takes for a unit to level up is the same as in vanilla. All this mod does it edit unit equipment nodes for units, so progression is changed at all. Spending most of the free time I have in the .xmls in the last couple months, I can say with certainty that there isn't even a way to edit unit progression with the files I have modified.

@Shas'Ia Your overhaul mods are great so far! One thing I noticed in the imperial trees is that the advancement for the Imperial cavalry (starts with the tagmata recruit and goes up to Kataphraktoi) has a really extreme experience climb? All the other troops level up at a normal rate but these cavalry lads take what feels like 10 times the xp to get one advancement. Is this intentional or is there perhaps something in the files being weird?

Hmm, I run RBM, maybe that is the one. If I was to remove all soldiers from my party, do you think I could remove your mods to test it ? Or the AI are also using those units ?

Ok, so I went and double checked the xmls, and both the vanilla Vigla recruit, and my Tagmata recruit are set by default to be infantry. I also checked if they get horses, but they don't. So it seems like you may have another mod running that changes their equipment.

After further testing, if I make 2 groups of cavalry with 2 companions as captain, they seem to be considered cavalry.

Sorry I was not clear enough, the Tagmata (which replaces the Vigla) is considered infantry while being on a horse.

On a side effect, it messed with the shield wall formation where units will raise their shields but won't stand close from each other.

And since it seems they remove the button that allowed to change how an unit would be considered, I see no way to change that (apart you updating your mod ofc).

@Specialka the Vigla recruit is supposed to be infantry. They don't have a horse, so they are set to be infantry. I'm not sure I understand what the issue is?
