Probably the crash occurs before BEW had chance to load. When the crash occur?

@Bot easy I also have a crash with shokuho where the prompt didn't show up (got this for this crash lol). Windows OS. Obv not on you, just an FYI.

IF you're using linux, the prompt won't show up. No I don't use linux, no I won't do it for linux (it's an os for web servers and php anyway).

So, BetterExceptionWindow works, but its current version is causing problems with TOR I’m on game version 1.2.11, and the mod is still on 1.2.0, so that might be the issue disabling it stopped the crashes for now, I've only had issues with TOR.

Oh should have included this: In my case, continuing does work, and it takes almost no time for it to continue. As for the warned sideeffects, one time everyone in a small clan of a kingdom just died as soon as I pressed continue, but that's the only one I've noticed.

Is the butterlib crash report supposed to report that BetterExceptionWindow caused a crash when you press the button to see the Butterlib crash report? Saving both crash reports just in case. As for how to recreate, I have no clue. It seems inconsistent. It may just be me, or my imagination, but it does seem that this mod causes random crashes. Again though, I can't recreate it without just playing the game as normal.

Im getting a error when i try to start a new game or trying to play a save game. Usually when i travel or wait or go into a town. The reason it crash says either Sandbox when playing a save game and Campaign when i try to start a new game. Any tips or info on why?

There is a BUG. In version 1.2.9, an error will be reported when entering the workshop.

nope deleted it, uninstalled the game. deleted leftover folder reinstalled.

Could you implement that you can memorize that a specific error message should be ignored? I'm currently getting spammed with 5 to 10 errors from a mod but it still seems to work fine, i just don't wanna click every time. It's always the same error, i want it to automatically happen, that would be great. :)

Everything worked fine until recently, and by process of elimination BetterExceptionWindow is causing crash on game launch.
I unsubscribed then resubscribed, but it did not work. I downloaded version from Nexus, still did not work.

Seems counter intuitiv, as when this mod is removed everything is as it is supposed to be. Still i will redownload and give it a go.

maybe your mod configuration menu v5 is corrupted? I can't replicate such issue

i just installed this and while the game loaded, the mod settings menu backgrounds images have not loaded. Some pink/white/black background image is in there, also on top right the search sign(?) or whatever there was by default has that image shown.

Load order is as follows.
Harmony
BetterExceptionWindow
Butterlib
UIExtenderEx
Mod Configuration Menu v5
followerd by vanilla branch
followed by a bunch of other mods that till now didn't cause that issue.as they didn't have to do with that menue other than maybe showing its settings there.

Hello, Upon investigation ive found that whatever 8kb update was uploaded today 9 Sep @ 5:12pm Is conflicting with many things, its resulted in the game crashing upon launch, i suggest reverting whatever change that was, ive disabled this mod for now so i can play.
