So the mod ID has changed for some reason.

It now shows this in the active mods file
mod = {LINK REMOVED},

Ah, okay, well thank you for the detailed information. Hopefully you'll be able to figure something out, Something like this would be extremely helpful for those that have a not-so-great PC when they load in, even in singleplayer
tanuki  [author] 6 Apr @ 1:40am
yes, because that allows you to change the core game logic by replacing Java classes. I would have to replace a big chunk of the player logic. It's a very active area in their codebase and I would have to produce an updated mod every time they'll make a change and you'll have to replace the file every time.
If I don't release a timely change, and you'll still replace again the files, you might end up, potentially, with big instability problems and theoretically all sort of bugs.

@tanuki Not too sure how modding works in zomboid tbh, but some mods include a "zombie" folder in them that you have to manually drag and drop into the game folder. could something similar work here?
tanuki  [author] 5 Apr @ 5:56am
@DreezyMoto apparently Indie Stone no longer allows normal players to become invisible in build 42. I'll probably have to retire this mod

Doesn't seem to work singleplayer b42. tried messing with the load order as well :( the countdown text appears and tried changing the sandbox settings but doesnt seem to stick
Dok Woya 12 Jan @ 5:20pm
Thank you, my shitty laptop taking ten minutes to load everything got me killed too many times

@SNIPEWONDO updated for 42
SNIPEWONDO 21 Dec, 2024 @ 7:51pm
are there plans to update this?
Jefuty 3 May, 2024 @ 5:37am
So I tested it for myself, it's safe if you put it as the highest priority instead of the last ones.
Jefuty 2 May, 2024 @ 5:02pm
do you know which mod order this mod need to be loaded in? it would be nice so we don't have to get mauled to death
tanuki  [author] 20 Apr, 2024 @ 9:42am
@Fuyuno you can already change the timers so that you'll only have 10 seconds of invisibility once you move and you can also configure the timer for when you remain still.

I haven't yet looked into the auto-pause, but you can set the still timer to a huge value so that it will practically be infinite.
Fuyuno 16 Apr, 2024 @ 4:57pm
is it possible to add an option to disable looting while invisible? or better yet - make it so the invisible thing goes away within ~10 seconds of moving (should be plenty of time to run away and hide), but remain as normal (or indefinitely, as another option) if you never move

also, tanuki, any news on looking into the auto-pause option?
tanuki  [author] 16 Apr, 2024 @ 12:40pm
@ggsonego the problem with that is that you'll punish players with an unstable connection.
ggsonego 16 Apr, 2024 @ 12:17pm
@tanuki very useful mod thanks. However, we found a problem. Some players are using the invisible time to loot, then they quit and reenter the server starting again the invisible time. I believe a simple answer to this is to add a cooldown timer. The player should only have the invisible timer every 30 minutes of relogin, but have to be cautious not to cooldown the player that lost the character (this cooldown just applied to old characters).
Fuyuno 6 Nov, 2023 @ 7:52pm
nice :D would it be okay to request you add the auto-pause?

the timer would still have the time run even if you're invincible or invisible - the point is to keep the timer from running and missing all of the tv shows lol
tanuki  [author] 6 Nov, 2023 @ 12:59pm
@Fuyuno I suppose that this can be added. However you can probably obtain a similar thing by increasing by a lot the initial timer
Fuyuno 6 Nov, 2023 @ 8:49am
can you make the game pause as well / as an option when they login? i often go afk after launching, since the game takes so long to load into the game-proper
Eroge 28 Sep, 2023 @ 7:13am
Some players on my server reported that they get attacked by zombies when the safe time is still counting down, no idea why
Eroge 16 Apr, 2023 @ 7:42am
Thank you! This is exact the mod i was looking for
tanuki  [author] 16 Apr, 2023 @ 1:31am
@Eroge if you mean creating a new character after the previous one died then yes.
Eroge 15 Apr, 2023 @ 9:16pm
Is respawn also protected?
smeg 12 Feb, 2023 @ 8:31pm
still, udderlysafe's invincibility caused similar issues, but the ghost mode option seemed to solve most everything - then again, i radically rethought my modlist and load order and went from gpu spike crashes to a buttery smooth experience, so there might very well have been user error involved. and since loading in was sometimes quite a painful process, it's not impossible that i'd fatfingered my d-pad in frustration and accidentally triggered the grace period prematurely

either way, while i'm very happy with my current choice i really appreciate you for reaching out to me. thank you, and i hope you have a good day :D
smeg 12 Feb, 2023 @ 8:29pm
hmm, this was a while ago (sorry, i read my steam notifications very sporadically) so i can't really say for sure - one thing that does come to mind is that i was running the respawn mod on the server as well, but considering my current MP modlist is in the 200's it's going to be a bitch to track down the exact reason (and the issue might very well exist somewhere between my chair and my keyboard) i appreciate you getting back to me, and sorry for the salty comment - should have had a snickers beforehand.

sad to say, i moved to udderlysafe after just that one accident, so it's hard for me to say if the issue was actually consistent, if it was due to faulty mod settings, mod conflicts, or just a one-off fluke - too many variables in play (for example the mod that lets zombies "smell" open wounds might have interfered with the invisibility)
tanuki  [author] 22 Jan, 2023 @ 2:24am
hi @smeg, any chance that you created a new character after the old one died? There was a bug for which the mod was not working on that scenario. I've fixed it now
tanuki  [author] 16 Jan, 2023 @ 12:12pm
hi @smeg, we're actually using it in multiplayer and so far nobody reported bugs. Were you able to see the messages? Perhaps you've configured it with too few seconds? Also it's better if you don't hit any key that might make your character to move, or you may accidentally start the second timer which, by default, lasts only 20 seconds (they start regardless of you being able to see anything on the screen).
smeg 16 Jan, 2023 @ 6:41am
didn't work on multiplayer, got ripped to shreds the moment i joined. cheers
