if you see smithing items such as Charcoal, Crude Iron, Iron, Steel etc and dont have other mods providing it, then you know its working. new game smithing items asap, on saved game takes a little time before. If you use other mods also providing this - Banner kings then dont use this mod :)

Thx but i dont understand that - this has only to do with workshop and nothing to do with in game smithing... theres a really big difference and this mod can simply not impact in game smithing.

Hey thanks for the mod it was really nice with the different gear! I appreciate your awesome work! I had to drop it from the mod list yesterday after trying to smelt one of the awesome 2-handers caused an instant and consequential reload crash. Am currently running 1.1.5 and returned to stable after disabling this mod. Just an fyi... cheers and thanks again!

thx for writing - but how ? could you be more specific ? because i can´t see the connection. mine only has to do with workshops and as stated above - nothing to do with in game smithing

i have just tested (1.1.5) and i have no problems...and zero conflicts.

Yes I am fascinating (seriously) by your concise mod, that does wonders for a beginning campaign and truly supports the rest of the game.

I personally did some modding for R2TW, and others, but I got "lazy" ... thus I rely on the imagination of others, and I am thrilled.

Krixpop, thx so no conflict there, nice to hear. But this small mod is also without any code, only xml editing in smith workshop and shouldn’t Give any conflicts.. haven’t changed it since release .

I ended up removed everything from the warehouse, set it back to 0% and unchecked the box restarted the game. After that i reloaded the warehouse, left it at 0% and it started making a profit after a couple of days finally.

Asmodaus its the new 1.2.0 vanilla warehouse function you need to look at. did you check "get input from warehouse" ? and did you set store output to 0..... otherwise its not taking in stashed wood and iron ore and if set to anything else than 0 it will not sell off items at once

Not sure what’s going on but I have some 50+ wood and 120 iron ore in the warehouse and have had the Smithy for some 2 weeks yet still not showing any profit.

If you use "Workshops Advanced" mod from Nexus, which works perfectly with
Smithy Workshop Tweak, then you can change in Workshops-Advanced's mod option this particular issue:
Namely whether you loose or not a Workshop when a City is conquered by your enemy.
When not loosing the Workshop, you will not get any money, thus zero income but it will still count toward Workshops that you can have according to your level.
I personally prefer to loose a Workshop, and buy another one in a more secure City.
It will recover costs in less that 2 weeks...
Also, in Workshops Advanced you can set-up how many Workshop per level you may have.
Again:
Smithy Workshop Tweak + Workshops Advanced = Perfection ! ! !

Its Bannerlord vanilla game that does that if you are at war, then WS in enemy towns is lost.

you can buy it as an existing Workshop, in a town that already has one; and that will be any town with a village producing iron.
also if wood and iron or even only one resource is present then buy another workshop and change it into a Smithy Workshop

ZerG.. thats odd.. which town is that and hows the prosperity of town ?
Does it says something like “last run xxx days ago” ?
Also look at initial capital an current capital.

I have one workshop with +540 income and second is 0 after few weeks still 0 and there is no other smithy in town so where is the problem ? Iron ore is in market and hardwood too plenty of it

Makes sense ! And from my experience you are right, although now buy all 3 workshops at once to avoid concurrence. It happened when bought a Smithy, and the other shops were linen and bier, iirc.
Then noticed that although my smithy had access to ore, it made much less than my other smithy, so I went to check the town: yep, the AI turned both other 2 workshops into smithies !
Bought them immediately and changed them back to original, linen and bier.
My smithy profits soon skyrocketed ! almost 4000 profit just from that one smithy !
It is indeed interesting to see this AI mechanic at work. Your mod mixed with "do not starve yourself (or something)" mod, and the Bannerlord world is amazingly fluid ...

Yes when TW make changes to economy, suddenly one workshop can be preferred… this case the smithy. I think that sometimes it might be smart to start game without this MOD and let Vanilla make spread of WS and then save game and restart adding this mod…. But it’s only based on a thought not science ☺️

Super to have you back on modding ! ! ! Quick update on "Smithy Workshop Tweak":
- After awhile almost all AI towns change their workshops to "Smithy"
- Came across a town with all 3 workshops as "Smithy" and a serious lack of supplies making it a treasure for caravans (I think)
- Thus bought them all 3, kept one as Smithy and reverted the other two according their supply villages.
- But then found another city with the same 3 "Smithy", bought them all and let them be; now:all 3 give a fat 2000 income each ...
I seams the AI is hungry for cash as we are...

A pity about ME; is my most favorite game ...

Thx krixpop but i kind of just started mass effect and didn’t go back…so i made the expanded elite mercenaries mod instead… but its only for 1.1.0 (beta) so i am waiting for that version to go live and hope some will like the mod…

@Availxe try winery… they should do great right now.. villages with grapes and town prosperity is a factor… also silversmiths in ortysia and sanala have always worked.

Mass Effect is a social-phenomena that will rock your world ! For me since 2008.
And as a game be careful as many decisions you make in one game will have dire consequences in the follow-up games, do not hesitate to search for explanations and solutions on-line, it will save you hours of sadness...
Also, check the modded patches for all 3:
LE1/LE3 Community Patch-es and the Unofficial LE2 Patch an absolute MUST HAVE mods that will bring the game to perfection !

Thank you I was annoyed at getting 0 income for the workshops, seems bugged might just make smithys instead now. The other mod you mentioned looks to confusing for me.

Krixpop its also been months since i played bannerlord only testet mods for new patches … bougt mass effect leg. Edition and will try that.. but good gaming out there.

Also, reports on Smithy Workshop for everyone to know:
I have now 5 Smithy Workshops, (i know I know, is overkill...) And it doesn't really matter if they have NO resources, Caravans will supply what is needed, and the Smithy will still make a min profit of 500+/- , per day. :steamhappy:
Thus in my case, with a total of about (varies) 6000 per day from Smithies alone, why bother with other Shops?
Let the NPCs have their cash-ruin!
Go all Smithy ! :steammocking:

@krixpop all is fine.. adjusting all workshops can severely mess up economy in game so i chose smithy to introduce s ithimg items which vanilla doesn’t and tweeked so higher tier weapons and armor would pop up more often… then i saw other mods making workshop changes ..tier system and warehouses etc.. and thought I’ll just leave it like that…

Downloaded Advanced Workshops, or whatever the name is, since Workshop Manager is hidden on nexus. Workshops are still kinda horrible, but it´s not as bad as before. If I´m lucky my smithies turn out 400-500 gold a day each. And being able to buy all the ingredients for smithing is nice too.
